BTW: I used this software for a while myself when it was called Fruity Loops (version 2.xx).

I once heard demo song in FL which included real guitarist play amazing stuff in that song.

Forget about guitars if you can't make it sound right, it will only make you look bad in the world of musicians.

Check out virtual bass guitars by Scarbee (Native Instruments), like the mm-bass. Listen to the sample, Lost In Traffic. If that can be done with bass, I'm sure guitars could sound better as well.

I'm not a 'hater', but as a guitarist, I don't understand why this stuff sounds even slightly acceptable to you people. I know very well that good soundfonts exists, yes. But this is NOT the way to use them. Electric guitars are played usually with picks and a pick does not strum all strings at the same time. Another thing to note is that the sound in this video sounds too cut off, which makes it sound fake.

Yes, the author mentions it, but the endresult still sounds un-acceptable. So this video goes into great detail in how to use FL Studio to ultimately create a fake guitar sound. Again, I'm not a hater, I actually played keys before learning guitar. As a key player, I noticed pretty much instantly that guitars were badly simulated (20 years ago). You'd think things would have changed by now, but it still sounds like a sound that I'd never want to use in a song.

But look at the benifits, the sound may not be perfect but you can make a guitar track. It's about your idea's and the creativity, if thats on level you can always put in the same part, but with a real guitar.
