  • Thanks for the lesson, you inspired me to learn and record this song.

  • thanks for a simple yet effective portrayal.

just a note: 'Shenandoah' was a a song adopted from French Canadian voyageurs. The original is also about 'leaving' but leaving Quebec and going into the unknown regions of the western Great Lakes and rivers.

(perhaps their is an an 'earlier' version than than that of the voyageurs

  • Hey..Do you know the Notes of Shenandoah??

  • Man, you rock! You are God!

  • Herb....Iwas wanting to learn the chord structure to this song..and found this....Ive played scince I was 10...but could never learn theory...this was awesome to find...perfect for me...But the greatest discovery, was the rest of your videos I watched after viewing your "words of wisdom"...life went a bit sideways for me a few years back....and tonite I needed to be reminded about simple human authenticity....in a good way...thankyou,from my heart...you saved me tonite...by just being you.thanks

  • very nice..thanks!

  • Very nice:

And the chords can't be in a 'wrong place in a traditional song'...they are just right for your version. Good opening...I always had trouble how to 'enter' the tune.

    thanks from Canada

  • nice job

  • The chord changes you use are correct but you take away from the beauty of the song by using them in the wrong places...

  • kewl.
