The guest did mention union money briefly. Most conversations omit the union money and the influence that it buys. In many states union dues and membership are not optional. The dues are forced and the union donates those forced dues to politics and sends voting guides to their membership mainly favoring Democrats. The money boogeyman operates freely and evenly on both sides. They donate to who they think will win the next election with no regard to party.

I understand his intent, but the bills he's suggesting are horrid. People fail to see anyone is allowed to vote with money, the examples are always the most horrid people. But what about the socially unaccepted?

If some porn guy or a group of strippers support someone with cash (and it's known) it's a death sentence for the candidate. So now those people lose the right to contribute?

Corporations are much much more powerful than government in the U.S. but most citizens do not believe that. But corporations call all the shots. They literally own government and this particular news clip proves this. Politicians are only in office to please their paymasters that put them in power. It's crony capitalism at its worst.
