though i HATE SONGS THAT SCREAM, i love this song. to me the lyrics are about a selfish soldier thats friends with a super nice soldier. the nice one got shot and is dying in the infirmary. the selfish one is trying to make the nice one's remaining days worth while, and asks what he wants. turns out, the nice soldier says that he has everything he could ever want and it makes the selfish soldier feel all guilty and he regrets the way he lives his life.

the term Christian was never meant to describe anything but people. It is a noun and not an adjective. So i agree with the statement that they might be Christians, but you cannot base that only their music.

i agree cerwinvegas. each listener may interpret it however they want to. whether they think it is about jesus or fallen soldiers, it is a great song, and both deserve our respect.

Any of you posting comments that it is not about jesus. Well let me just say this, they are a christian band and of course they are going to write a song about him or to him. I am an atheist, and I love this song. Actually I love their whole scene. I could care less if they are writting about him, just enjoy the music. Is that not what jesus would want? He would want us to love the music not argue about it.

I could explain, but take time if you ever see them live and talk with them. Tim is an amazing person. All of their lyrics are related to God. "I am able to bring you nothign that isn't already yours." Everything is God's, He's done so much for us, what can we do to return to Him? Nothing. "Take what I have, take these broken remains." Trust me... this is a heart crying out to God.

anything song in this world can be interpreted a million different ways aside from the one intended, what if whoever wrote this song was talking to Jesus? how can you prove its not possible? if theres someone in your life who is as important to you as Jesus is to this person then it will fit.

AILD are so christian, the headlined cornerstone in 2006, and if you read there lyrics booklet that come with the albums, anytime they capitalize "You" there talking about god / jesus.
