  • I own this on dvd in the UltimateClassic Sci-fi Collection along with The Land Unknown and many other Universal 50's Sci-F classics. Love 1950's Sci-FI

  • The best scene is when the mad scientist turn around and you look into his distorted face- strangely enough humans do not grow to giants when infected with that stuff like the animals or insects, they just become elephant man.

  • in australia, people look at that and say "is that all?"

  • very nice effects :D

  • This was probably the first 50's horror movie I've ever seen. I still remember the music and everything.

  • A personal favorite. It comes on TCM (Turner Classic Movies) once or twice (literally) a year and I always watch it. For a while I thought I was the only person on Earth who liked this movie. YouTube proved me wrong. Tarantula SERIOUSLY needs a decent $9.99-ish DVD release. (Ditto for Earth vs. The Spider) Am I alone in thinking this? Giant spider (or bug) movies rule.

  • Clint Eastwood saves the day? He was 25 or something.

  • HOLY COW!

  • Shoot it!

  • I bet this was pretty creepy back in it's day.

  • I remember, as a kid, this movie chilled the hell out of me! One of my favorite sci-fi beastie films when I was growing up! Today, I own it on DVD! Still love it after all these years!

  • this is a great grindhouse movie!

  • the guy on the right at 0:22 must be short sighted...

  • Ahh! Tarantula! One of my all-time favorite 1950's "big bug" movies! Hollywood sure doesn't make 'em like THIS anymore!

  • A.C.M.E. =(

  • This the best spider film ever made,it looks so real and for 1955 it's brilliant, forget the computer animated ones of today!

  • ελληνικα!!!!! ΝΑΙ!!!!!

  • That was creepy and effective. 1955 FTW.

  • oh my gosh...there happens to be a small hill in the way :)

  • I don't know any weapons that can stop that tarantula.

  • That looks like a real tarantula!

  • @Dinosorable That's because it WAS a real tarantula.

  • @DannyJBeckett I was sure it was. I wonder how they made it look giant.

  • @Dinosorable Fuck knows, but it was bloody clever for 1955.

  • @DannyJBeckett Yeah.

  • Oh my God. The 1950s creature features were the best. MODERN MOVIES AREN'T AS GOOD. (Old guy voice) Now back in mah day we didn't have them color TV's, magnificent special effects, the touchy screen phones...God bless. God bless.

  • @TISEProductions 1950's creature features are a blast compared to today's movies and I'm only 27 years old.

  • meh, I've seen bigger...

  • @SpecterReflector thats what she said

  • @SpecterReflector Geez 0_0
