  • 0:01 Is that Sayumi with a wig???? XD

  • STOP complaining about the prince is a girl!!!!!! Is it that bad?! And NO they aren't gay either! The main persons are played by a famous pop group in Japan, named Morning Musume. And the language is Japanese, if you want to know. I'm happy you guys didn't say anything about their singing yet! And I just mean they really sing good and that anyone ever would say the singing is not good.

  • @ShugoxMelody thank you! our school is doing this and I wanted to be the prince but no one would even consider letting my even audition for it. too weird apparently

  • Gaki wants to make me dance with her I mean him or her or????? >////////<

  • I can watch this again and again and never get bored ^^ They're so amazing!

  • Wow! Ai and Gaki are sooooo good here!

  • that's so cool.

  • I think they have very pretty voices, but it it seems odd to me that they would choose a women to play the prince. don't get me wrong I'm not against homosexuality or anything. It's just weird because she's obviously a women, and no matter how deep her voice is, its still a women's voice. that being said, I absolutely love this musical, especially in my own little corner, so its nice to hear it in a different language.

  • @sabriel18 - They're all women... that's kinda the point.

  • @Nerdynessocity I do understand that they're women, as I stated that in my comment. I just think that it makes no sense. She's playing a prince, prince's are men. I'm sorry if that sounds offensive, but it seems like common sense to me. Roger's and Hammerstein designed the pieces to suit a male voice, and although I think her voice is beautiful, it seems out of place for the song that she is singing. that is all I meant, I'm not trying to offend, so I apologize if I have.

  • @sabriel18 It's a culture play thing. THEY ARE NOT GAY! It's called Kabuki. Where women play all parts male or female. The theater troop is a famous all girl group. Morning Musume was doing a collaboration with them.

  • @DarkKyoTrace oh, i see, now it makes sense, but I thought in kabuki men played all the parts, like when men played all the parts in Shakespeare's plays? I thought it was weird at first, its growing on me though. I mean I've seen an all male Shakespeare troupe, so now I don't thinks it soo out of place, and the girls sing really well.

  • @sabriel18 Yes Kabuki is also an all men production thing. But this is a type of kabuki. Called Female Kabuki where it's played by all girls. Glad you understand.

And...It's because it's MORNING MUSUME that make it all the more better XD they're one of the top music groups in Japan! <3

  • @DarkKyoTrace I see, no wonder their voices are so good, thanks for letting me know:)

  • @sabriel18 Just throwing it out there, but in pantomimes which are basically fairy tales, like Cinderella, male leads are often played by women; the prince, robin hood, dick whittington, peter pan... they've all been played by women before and that's not seen as strange.

  • @lillybet1 I actually watched the Peter Pan played by a women and didn't think it was strange. I actually think it's kinda cool now. It must be really fun to play a male character and vice versa:)

  • @sabriel18

Definitely check out the Takarazuka Revue (if you haven't already), they are the best when it comes to playing male-roles.

  • I think only Niigaki-san could compliment Takahashi's voice so well (and vice versa) both have unique voices and quite a range even.

I'm actually surprised this video isn't spammed by TakaGaki fans though. XD

  • i love how Gaki-san plays her part she knows how to be SMOOTH...Ai-chan being soft ans sweet...makes a great play :)

  • I've never heard a Prince with a voice as rich and pure as Gaki-san's, as properly demonstrated @3:41, nor have I ever seen a Prince so charming and delicate.

This most certainly is one of the two or three most captivating things I've ever witnessed before in my life. I can't believe I'm a man and want to marry the Prince.

  • Is that a woman playing the part of prince charming?

  • ...is the prince...a girl??

  • @SxyChicDisney Yep :DD The only Momusu who could act prince that well, for sure! ♥ She owns it :3

Her name is Risa Niigaki btw and she is the sub leader of Morning musume :)

The girl who plays cinderella is Ai Takahashi, the leader.

& Those stepsister are Reina Tanaka (pink) & Eri Kamei (yellow/orange)

They are from Momusu, too :D

hah, I found it so funny, that Gaki and Ai are like that :D They are so close friends and the only 5gen members left and and and...hih<3 reinaeritoo<3

  • ...they really couldn't just find a male actor to play the prince? i mean...its a prince

  • @SxyChicDisney Yes, i understand you...but this is mainly the MORNING MUSUME version of Cinderella the musical :)) So...like...ummm....yeah :'D

    It's kinda hard to explain...:/

  • what is the MORNING MUSUME version

  • @SxyChicDisney The group that performs in that theatre is an all female acting troupe. "Takarazuka Revue". Each person on stage is female, just like in every other play put on by the Takarazuka troupe.

  • it's weird because they don't start singing until about 3:40 lol and its annoying cuz its all in japanese - the only word i kno is like baka or something which is idiot... :)

  • ahh! i love how she makes such a dashing prince!!

  • i don't speak japanese, excluding the bits and pieces I learn from manga and anime, but art is universal. i love the way the performance was set up. it's aesthetically pleasing and the singing is quite beautiful, so much so that it almost wipes away my wish that the prince was played by a male. the actorsin all of this plays clips were great and i appreciate the all- female cast, as the majority of my acting cl

  • The prince is SO much prettier than Cinderella, who looks kind of scary to me.

  • is that the girl as a prince or thats a boy

  • that is a girl as the prince

  • Yes, I would be willing to wear a big blue dress and gold crown too, if Prince Gaki-san would sing to me like that. And if only I could hold Prince Gaki-san's beautiful hands and dance with her like that, I'd be the happiest Cinderella ever!

~ I speak as an American man.

  • no, dear, they are not.

  • nope. they are the actual MM. i dont know the updates for members, but thats them.

they do alot of acting and comedy stuff.

  • they arent trainee's because they already have debuted. LONG time ago.

  • Trannies? where in the nasty mind did you get that idea?? ._.

do some research boy, not all asians are transexuals.

    how rude.

  • BAKA! Morning Musume are an all girl pop group in Japan, who also do pantomine/acting on the side. They joined up with the Takarazuka, an all female acting troop, hence why they are all females. If you think they're lesbians and trannies, what about the Greeks? They onyl had MEN in acting youi absolute idiot, sam as Shakesperian times. I don't know how stupid you are, but it seems more stupid than most

  • takes one to know one i guess ^_^ apparently trannies are all this guy thinks about XD

  • @emlodik FAIL! Go back to playing Halo with all the other ignoramuses.

  • @MrsCamui Go listen to a K.D. Lang cd!

  • @emlodik No thanks. Unlike some I actually have taste and knowledge of art.

  • @MrsCamui you mean the other ignoramuses who go around saying "FAIL" every 5 minutes, like you?

  • @BernardProfitendieu Like me? Honey, you don't know me very well do you? In fact you don't know me at all. If you did, you'd know that I hardly ever say it. I only do when I actually mean it and feel that someone has done something incrediably stupid and/or insensitive.

Also, can you give me the correct definiton of ignoramus? Or did you just copy and paste my post to make yourself appear to be someone of equal or surprior intelligence?

  • @MrsCamui ignoramus seemed kinder than moron or imbecile which were my first impulses - - no matter, all three apply to you equally well, I'm sure!

  • @BernardProfitendieu That's quite a big assumption for someone who can't even see the person they're speaking to. Since you seem to know me so well, perhaps you'll tell me what's my middle name?

But so far, you're proving to me your intellect is that of emlodik.

However, no matter what I say you'll still hold on to the belief that I'm an idiot when I'm typing respectfully without chat speak and actually know what I'm talking about.

Have a nice life judging faceless people. ;D

  • is the prince a Girl?

  • Well, DUH.

  • I really have to give it to Takitty and Gaki-San Chan here. Ai and Risa were fabulous. The chemistry and choreography was precise, and delightfully splendid.

I found the act and occasion to be most certainly, "second to none!"

  • ~Cinderella had finally found her Prince Charming.

  • Here, we witness one of the greatest Cinderella musicals in history, as performed by various Morning Musume members in Japan. The great, Prince Gaki-San was seen as somewhat perplexed, until she discovered her Princess Ai Chan all alone, adorned in an exquisite bold, blue dress and gold crown in front of their envious girlfriends. It was indeed, "love at first sight" for Prince Gaki-San and Princess Ai Chan, as the two sung lovely lullabies to one another during this very special occasion.

  • Wow, costumes are SUPERB! I can't stop watching this version of Cinderella. It's sooo good! :D

  • i love the costumes SO much! XD

  • this song is soo romantic :)

i love it. i love them singin this song. XD

  • Niigaki Risa's costume sorta reminds me of sakura in tokyo wars, idk

    i lyke it tho =D

  • so in the past all the actors were male but now they are all female? haha i didnt know that!

  • it's cool that Niigaki is the prince.. :P

  • wow......that was some great singing O.o

  • Risa did so amazing singing so low! They both are sooo amazing!! Takahashi and Risa that is =D

  • The costumes are very beautiful!♥

  • gaki-chan'z and ai-shun'z hair r to light............r they wearing wigz......r did they actually die their so bright......

  • ai is wearing a wig but i dont know about gaki

  • Ai-chan's hair is a wig, because her hair is short. But Gaki-san's is the natural color then. She's dyed it since then though.

  • @princess78abby Their both wearing wigs. If you watch the last part of the show where Morning Musume performs, you'll notice Risa Nigakii's hair is a lot longer and a bit thiner. Also a bit darker.

  • OMG i saw this in japan it was soooo good!!

i LOVE THIS. is it out on dvd??

  • im pretty sure it is.......

  • But they sing just beautifully! ;) cute

  • but every role in this one is played by a girl, that's kind of the whole point :-p

  • Cinderella(Ai) is so cute when she saying the Prince(Risa)'s name ^^

  • Gaki-san's every move was carefully thought out and well planned. Ai Chan had no choice but to submit herself to the very enchanting and charming Gaki-san. I believe Gaki-san is a wonderful roll model for very young Japanese girls and boys searching for strength, confidence, and self identity.

  • Gaki-san is a skillful and masterful Prince, and one we've all come to love and respect.

  • "CAPTIVATING!"

     Quite literally!

  • The great "Gaki-san" loves what she sees in Princess Ai, and Princess Ai seems totally awestruck by just the sheer presence of Prince Gaki-san.

I've never seen anything more magnificent in my entire life!

  • I've never seen a more beautiful musical. Both girls were absolute naturals in their rolls.

  • Towards the beginning of Cinderella, we witness Prince Gaki-san carefully seeking and searching her Princess out of a crowd of girls. The fastidious search ends when she spots her "Princess" in reigning blue all alone, at the dismay of all the other girls of course. Both Prince "Gaki-san" and Princess "Ai Chan" both compliment each other very well both physically, and vocally. Both were a match made in heaven, quite literally I might add. And both shall live happily ever after together.

  • Ten minutes ago, the mighty heavens of God opened from Japan, and behold, I witnessed the very eloquent and exquisite Prince "Gaki-san" holding and dancing with the very soft and supple Princess "Ai Chan."

The very pure and beautiful Princess Ai finally found her Prince Charming, and behold, it was a well pleasing gift bestowed from the heavens, unto the children of men.

  • so cute :D:D Cinderella in japanese (^^,)

  • It looks as if Gaki was enjoying herself while doing this. X3 Did anyone notice her constant smiling?

    (of course you guys did!)

  • OMG! Gaki-san looks so sexy as prince!

    XD

CinderAi is really pretty...I can't wait to buy this!

  • OMG! Takagaki!

    *Fangirl squeal!*

  • lol risa is a prettier prince than ai is cinderella

  • lol I felt bad for Niigaki-san in the beginning. Her expression was xD

And then CinderAi shows up... *fangirl squeal*

  • So cuuuute~! <3
