I really envy most of these youtube uploader videos, the only real off roading we get around here are the small fire trails linking state parks, once in the state park, no motorcycles allowed :\
Thanks for the kind words! I'm thrilled for you ... though a bit jealous as I no longer have one of these to ride. We've helped BMW sell so many of these yet we don't have one. OUCH! I'm really happy for you and you made the exact changes needed on this bike - you nailed it! (especially the seat) If you decide to put an exhaust on it, look at LeoVince as it sounds really good. To hear that, just watch our B to V movie which I hope you want to watch anyways - it's fun! Thanks, Bill MVR
Thanks for this great video series! I've been riding various touring bikes for decades, am 59 years old, and was looking for a change. After watching your eight part video review, I traded in my 2009 RT for a new 2011 F800GS in Alpine White last week. I only have a few hundred miles on it so far, but I'm loving it! I did swap out the stock windshield and seat for a Touratech screen and BMW comfort seat, respectively, because neither stock item was cutting it for me. Anyway, thanks again, fellas!
Really enjoyed your video. I like how you rode like the rest of us do. I especially appreciate the commentary about riding like the promo videos. Gives a real sense of what you can expect off paved roads on the F800GS.
You are welcome. Just spen 500 off-road miles on the 2010 model doing things you shouldn't do. Still like the bike very much. You'll like it, everybody does. MVR
Personally I would have the GS. KTM's are great, but you have to remember they are high performance machines. you will find yourself replacing parts more often on the KTM.
But maybe im just saying all this because I have an 1150GS. But its done 130,000 miles with no problems! So its a testament to the Bavarian bike builders!
Love it so far! Great job. I know the bike will do everything I need it to do in the dirt, but haven't been able to get a good handle on how it is at 75+mph. Looking forward to the next ones. Thanks.
that looks so smooth

Thanks, it's great video!
Do you think that 800GS is better bike than lc8 adventure? My Transalp 650 it's still pretty good, but I'm wondering abut younger alternative.

I've been trying to find the map and answer... but. Show 5 will show where these trails are - outside of Moab, UT heading East.

Thanks - It does fine at 75. It never feels like a small bike engine wise. Love it! Tell everyone about our videos.
