  • He must have iron lungs to keep on playing as long as he does here!!!!

  • @saanzacs Notes sound on both while exhaling and inhaling. He has mastered the difficulty of throwing blow notes in while keeping the shredding going.

  • "It's like an electric guitar solo... but better... my life just changed."

-My guitarist friend watching this with me.

  • Jason Ricci is an incredible harmonica player, IMO.

  • @SamPaiKenpo and in everyone elses oppinion as well. hell its practically a fact.

  • wow thats so amazing

    he blows it up

  • Jason likes to use this Eb harp all the time. It's like his "Lucille" harp, set up just perfectly. I guess I got to get an Eb just so I can attemp to learn something from this crazy improv.

  • You would think he would mess up at least once....his concentration is amazing. His mind is working on what he is playing, what he is going to play, all at break-neck speed.

  • holy!!!!

  • anyone have any idea what key this harp is?

  • can Jason Ricci play the harp? Is the Pope a Catholic do Bears shit in the woods

  • Is he playing a chromatic?

  • nope diatonic

  • Wow! That's twice as impressive then. Those bends are incredible. Great job!

  • I play that for a warm-up ;)

    sick stuff

  • woohoo !!

    sick solo... :GG:

  • Yeah to me Jason is the Eric Johnson of the Harp. He is excellent without being traditional.

Listen to most 12 bar or just any blues with good solo riffs and you tend to hear repetition, whereas in Jasons, he is all over the board. Well controlled and with the speed of his play, incredible how his tone is so good, single notes, bends and all.

  • Unbelievable!!!

  • Me and my brother met this guy and chatted for a good hour at least. Not only can he rip the harp, but he's got a great life story and some amazing advice on life and how young musicians can be successful...

  • Beat that!!!

  • Way to go J , kickin as always :-) Very coooool.

  • Well not in the UK, but with Walter Trout in the Netherlands I think. Check the schedule on his website. Would be a memorable pilgrimage.

  • Thanks for posting. I could watch J play forever. I'm either gonna have to make a pilgrimmage to the US or gonna have to wait till he comes to theUK

  • He will be there in 9 days.
