  • Hi Esther first thank you so much for all the great videos of yours! I appreciate it so much!

I wonder if there is any contraindication for twists? Can you even do them when having a disc problem in your spine (sorry I am German I hope this is right). I suppose you shouldnt do them while pregnant?

    Thanks again :)

  • I really appreciate your videos.

  • How often should twists be done?

  • @chrissykinsx As often as you like as long as it feels good.

  • very beautiful, i forgot how fun twists can be! thanks

  • Really enjoyed, I was surprised as twists aren't usually my favourite. Something a bit different to incorporate into my practise.

    Thanks Esther.

  • Great videos. Well done.

  • Does anyone know what (wireless?) microphone and headset Ester uses? I've just been going through some of her videos again, including even an outdoor one and I was struck at how consistently good the audio quality is across many years! Of course, it helps that she has a such a clear, calming and even voice in the first place :)

  • @utubesqueeze We use an audio technica wireless mic and receiver

  • @yogatic Thank you!

  • Do this poses also work on making the stomach tighter/slimmer/ more narrow? I feel that I would like to have a more delineated waistline....

  • @shapeurmind Run, walk briskly, swim or cycle 30 minutes a day every day and you'll be losing inches in no time.

  • @Bassfully Good advice! :)

  • Thank you!!! Will add it to my daily practice.

  • Great as always! Thank you Esther.

  • Really useful. I'm a skeptic of the toxin or specific therapeutic value, but I do know I find twists extremely relaxing and complement my end of day general stretching routine perfectly.

I've also never seen the twist and transition from 5:25 - I will try it today.

    Favorited and thank you!

  • @utubesqueeze Ditto on the claim about releasing the toxins. I'd like to see medical evidence on a lot of therapeutic claims for yogic postures.

As for the video, great job!

  • Perfect timing for this one, too, now that it's getting cold here and my muscles need a little extra coaxing.

I have a question, though: When you go into the twist at 2:00, is your weight distibuted evenly between the hand and front foot? Or do you want to shift most of the weight to the foot? (I have that same question about side-angle pose in the other sequences, too.)

Thanks for your time and energy, Esther.

  • Another great pose for me to do it. Thanks Esther with love.
