  • I don't mean to criticise your opinion but I must respectfully disagree regarding the daryl better than Hackett. It takes a lot to play but it takes even more to actually create the original music. I'm not saying you have to like steve hackett, I just wanted to throw in a rebuff.

  • Thank You! I know we are in the minority, but I totally agree with you about Hackett. He's a very good guitarist, but Daryl is much better. I think people don't like him because he isn't as wierd as Hackett, but wierd isn't always better. The Strumer-Hackett argument is a perfect example of that.

  • they're not old fashionable invisible touch reach #1 so would you people still call Genesis old fashionable? I don't think so

  • Estan regresando los grupos o bandas de verdad ya que la musica hoy en dia no vale nada. Gracias Genesis por regresar

  • Their sound didn't fundamentally change until Abacab, several albums after Gabriel's and Hackett's departures.

  • hes a fab entertainer,musician,drummer,person.........hes personality is reflected in his performance and thats why people like him,hes a natural!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i agree, they were awesome in manchester, best gig ever by a mile, phil collins was amazing.

  • as much as i love the gabriel era i wouldnt realy want to see him live, not because i dont like him, its because its not genesis, my passion is there, and until i saw them live at manchester i never got it, like why did peter have to leave? and when i saw them i got the answer because even though he left, and steve, they progresed into a fabulous band and they are fantastic and the best live band iv ever seen and i went to live 8 london and that wasnt half as good!!

  • is this how music is promoted these days, it looks like the introduction of a new revolutionary washing machine. this is no music they want to sell, its a product they want to get rid of. i bet thats why peter G and steve H thanked for the honour. good guys indeed.

  • your absolutely right!sell, sell, sell, albums, tickets, top ten positions...Peter gabriel is now on a tour in smaller halls, for about 5000 people, and it was amazing, someone screamed:play the lamb lies down... and he just shaked his head and had this great smile on his face and said:well, perhaps not a bad idea...

  • i saw them last night at twinkenham stadium

  • dont you think the show was out of this world? i thought it was supberb and the stage/lighting puts all new bands to shame, these guys have been doing this since 1967 and can still compete with the best!

  • saw them in manchester great as usual

  • saw them in manchester last week too! absalutly fabulous. loved them for 30yrs!

  • Being a Great Fan of Genesis of all Ages I have to tell how disappointed I am out of the band, being In Venezuela we have bearly managed to see performing bands like Yes,Rick Wakeman,PFM,Camel,Ian Anderson and so the Greatest Steve Hacket, but nowdays Genesis even though being so ¨loaded¨ has simply overlooked at us... Real Shame! always wanted to see Tony Banks perform...

Genesis, yes, ELP, Rush y Queen

  • Ah, will the Gabriel, Collins argument ever end!?! Get over it! Peter's the man for sure, but Genesis went on to become an incredible band without him thanks to Phil, Tony and Mike. Peter was DONE with Genesis back in 76', surely people can see that he had to leave? 31 years ago, wow!

  • I cant dance, I cant sing.... Well you can sing, but get behind the drums. Genesis should have changed their name when Gabriel left... i mean, bands like king crimson have changed over the years, but genesis is just to much...

  • Yes I agree Gravy Train would have been a more fitting name though....16,000,000 tickets sold...I rest my case. Genesis with Peter was possible the greatest prog band after they where and remain just a shadow of their former glory..

  • *hehe* i go there in Linz tomorrow :))Thanks for posting !

  • "Were not doing it for the money." LOL , YEAH RIGHT!

  • yeahhhhhh i go there in hannover ( germany) on the 23th July they´re a fantastic group and i´m really proud to go there ..^^ it´s my favourite band

  • I got into Genesis in 86, and was a high school geek

for doing so. I saw them live in Madison, Wi in 92.

I can't put into words how phenominal they sound live !

  • Ticket prices are way too friken high. $150 for nosebleed seats in a hockey stadium. Give us true fans a break!

I'm glad they're touring again. I'll wait for the live DVD.

  • I will be going for my first ever Genesis show, when they tour the UK this summer. They have an extremely good sense of humour, too!

  • Phil Collins is looking mighty hip with his sweater. LMFAO! Thanx 4 posting this up!

  • the saddest thing is I can see them perform because 1 they'll be performing in toronto that far away where I live and 2 the tickets r so expensive so it's a ripoff for me I wanna see them live :( all well I have my platimun collection to listen off of

  • dude! i sold my PS2 just to get the ticket...i know it´s a lot of money, but hey...they´re not going on tour many more times...go there ASAP or regret it forever

  • well then dude ur getting rid of the coolest systems

  • Yes this is all fine and dandy, BUT PETER GABRIEL was a MAIN DRIVING FORCE!!!!!! and NO MENTION???? What the FU&K?????!!!!

  • I know I watched the history of genesis on the genesis music website and I got the platimun collection

  • Ha ha I know how David Baddiel feels - I got into Genesis in 92/93 - not the coolest at the time! Man they're looking a bit old now.

  • please come to istanbul. we love you so much

  • i hope they come to Canada, im 17 and there one of my favorite bands

  • I predict Abacab as well and domino. Hell it is a hit and an extreme crowd rowdy-up-er. It will be a fucking insane concert.

  • I cant wait!

  • WHY ONLY EUROPE?!!

  • ...cause the U.S only likes rap, Britney and Justin. So why bother...were truly in hell.

  • you sound like an igorant fool to make comments like that to assume americans ONLY like rap, etc.

  • Why no clips prior to the Invisible Touch Tour here? Something to do with the DVD remasters, or is this a bad sign for us '70s Genesis fans?

  • 07 is going to be so good .

  • This is awesome .. I really hope they pull some songs out of the vaults . Deep in the Motherlode, Behind The Lines , Duchess, Dodo and older stuff like Ripples and Los Endos.

  • ...wonder if the 2nd drummer TOny...and 2nd guitar are gonna join them...or if they still alive

  • Chester Thompos is Alive Thank God, Dary Strumer too, I'm sure there will be on the tour

  • Sweet! Thanks so much for the interview posts now I have to keep a heads up for US Tix! I love YouTube.

  • If you'd rather relive the 5-piece era with Steve Hackett and Peter Gabriel then search keywords "Genesis Six Hours Live DVD" This new DVD features the Genesis Pro-Shot Live Concert experience from 1972-1980. All with improved audio over all previous releases.

  • i would've liked to see phil perform songs on the calling all stations album. i think the seventh track on that album was written with him in mind, yet because it was only written by banks and rutherford and not phil that we will never here these songs live.

that album sold over a million copies.

  • @monomis That really annoys me: Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford appear to be rather ashamed of "Calling All Stations" and try to blank it out of their minds - I think Ray Wilson did a great job on that album. :)

  • I particularly like the clips from their recent rehearsal for the upcoming tour. They are sounding great, and I hope I get a chance to see them this time around in the US. Their show in 1992 was fantastic.

  • cant wait to see them. The two songs they shown 'No Son Of Mine' and 'Home By The Sea' do sound brilliant, as good as ever. I will go mad when i see them
