  • I love this costume!!! Can you please tell me, more details, on how to create the headpiece/ears to stay on.

  • Love the vid! It was super cute!

  • I have seen bumble bee's, devil horses, unicorns, etc., but never a poodle. What a good job!

  • Wow amazing job, this cracked me up, it does look like a oversized poodle!

  • Too bad you didn't have a poodle styled to look like a horse walking with you.

  • day = made

  • THATS ADORABLE xDD

  • I was so inspired by your costume and built it from the instructions you gave plus my modifications (I am not talented in the craft area!) everyone knew just what my filly was, so THANK YOU! I have pictures on my flatknees website but don't know how to post the link - thanks again!

  • Thank you soo much for the idea! I love your costume! I was inspired by you and did this to my horse for a show... I GOT GRAND CHAMP! :D

  • das grenst für mich an tierquelerei

  • OMG! that costume was AMAZING!!!!!!!

  • well I've seen people make poodles look like horse's but never a horse look like a poodle. love it lol

  • If you'll read all my comments, I've explained how I made this costume. Thanks

  • I NEED to know how you made this ,how did u make the puff on the feet and the ears?

  • I french braided her tail to the end of the bone, then braided it to the end. I doubled her tail back up onto the bone, then I used black electrical tape to tape it together. Electrical tape gives and doesn't hurt them. Then I stuck her tail down in the pom-pom and fastened the pom-pom the the top of her braided tail with a shoe string. Non of this costume hurt her in any way. It was quite comfortable on her, otherwise she'd been throwing a royal fit.

  • That is what you call a Draft Poodle. xD

  • i love this cotume but how did u hide the tail?

  • Beautiful pony, but you gotta fel its misery when it has to try and walk with those massive hand muff type things on! :)

  • @zoobihan

i bet that his normal live isnt like this and a horse can take much more than that and this is only for a day

  • What did u use because I am doing a costume contest?

  • They are big stuffed balls with a hole through the middle, like a hand muff. The head dress was made over a very large party balloon with paper mache then cut to fit on her head. I put in my comments here how I came up with the costume.

  • what is that around his legs? we are wanting to do this for my horse for 4h i would really like some pointers on how to make it :)

  • omg thats just adorable! i rly wnt to do this with my horse for 4h! xD

  • OMG! I so have to dress my horse up as a Standard Poodle!!!!!

  • oh wow! this is genius!

  • I know everyone said it already...but very inventive and original. Best costume Ive seen.

  • clever poodle costume !!

  • omg, thats so cool

  • awesome!

  • AWESOME costume!! No surprise u won! Love it... LOL! 

  • Very Good...... so realistic...... and a patient well trained horse !

  • This is the best horse costume I've ever seen! I am attempting to make one for my horse for a Halloween costume contest and I was wondering how you made the horses tail?

  • I have a craft program for my computer. I blew up a photo of a standard poodle to 16.5 hands, then took the demensions of the head, ears, and pom-poms. Some curly fake fur, floral ribbons, a good sewing machine, a lot of patience and paper mache, and val-lah. The mare would lay down and die for me, so she endured the costume like she'd been doing it all her life! I kept it on with black electrical tape, elastic, and shoe strings. Won several trophies in costume classes as the shows since.

  • WOW! that is soooooo Amazing!!! How did you do it?

  • what did she use to decorate the horse? and how did she get it to stay on the horse?

  • That is a stupid cute idea~ Congrats on her first place! :)!

  • Linda, That's a great costume. Jerry Prather

  • This has got to be the most clever outfit I've ever seen!

  • @Wyndijane please send me the instructions. thanks
