personally, i don't think anyone's better than anyone here. they all have their own unique talents and added something special to the song. they got together to give Simon a proper farewell cause even though i didn't like him very much he still knew what he was talking about. he gave harsh criticism but it made better singers out of the winners on that stage. HOWEVER, if i had to choose i'd pick Carrie, Kelly, Jordin... in that order :)

As for their vocal range, I think you're confusing Carrie's with another, because she does not have a 4 octave vocal range. A 4 octave vocal range is someone like Celine Dion or Mariah Cary and Whitney Houston in their prime. Kelly has an octave range of 3.5, and she can still go higher when she connects chest with head voice.

With a great start, seasons 2 and 3 didn't dissapoint. Season 4 brought out a whole new type of star - Country. The biggest thing Kelly has on Carrie is making the show what it is, she IS the foundation of idol... otherwise they are both equally talented and equally beautiful.
