I love this song. Too bad the songwriters, singers, and anyone who identifies with the message is labeled as a racist, a redneck, someone who does not care for their fellow man. The Southern Poverty Law Center labels all who speak against our current direction, all who speak against our current president, as racists, as those who hate.

Kennedy was sorta right that 'every dollar freed from taxation that is spent or invested will create a new job' BUT NOT NECESSARILY AN AMERICAN JOB. The rich invest a lot of money abroad and a lot of products are foreign-made'. The war spending is a prime reason we are in this debt crisis. The controlled Tea Party won't demand anything, unless the Republicans approve of it, the Real Ron Paul Tea Party will be shouted down and shunned by the Media and the establishment GOP.
I wish the Tea Party could embrace the same sense of priorities that caused Paul and Nader to join efforts. And I wish that on the other end of the political spectrum progressives would also embrace that sense of priorities. I remember seeing Nader on Democracy Now saying to Amy Goodman that there was a part of the Tea Party that was right on the money, the part supporting Ron Paul. He tried to make her see that there were people fighting tyranny on the right in the Tea Party.

They obviously have different views on some topics and yet they united around their common views regarding the important issues of foreign policy, privacy, federal reserve and more. The 40% tax is on INSURERS and it only applies to premiums collected beyond $10k/year for individuals, $27.5K for families, i.e. the "Cadillac plans". If your family is paying $30,000/year in health insurance premiums (!!), your INSURER, not you, will be taxed 40% of $2500. Starting in 2018. Power to the people.

As a Liberal, Progressive, I actually agree with and like this song. However, the "Politicians" that need to hear this and that this song sings about are the Republicans and "T" party folks tearing down our country now.
And by the way, "We The People" includes those who want an abortion, immigrants, and Gay people who are still denied the rights given to them in the constitution. Wake up folks. The mess this country is in now started with Reagan and the "Trickle down" BS. He's NOT a hero!

I love this song. Too bad the songwriters, singers, and anyone who identifies with the message is labeled as a racist, a redneck, someone who does not care for their fellow man. The Southern Poverty Law Center labels all who speak against our current direction, all who speak against our current president, as racists, as those who hate.
I don't think it's possible to embrace the true ideals of the Tea Party movement, and to hate someone. Ideas yes, people, no.

Europe & America cannot hope to compete with countries such as China and India which have very low standards of living and hence can pay their workers low wages. The rich invest a lot of money abroad and a lot of products are foreign-made'. @daelka I like what you are saying! I think "some" in the Tea Party have woken up to it. I know a lot in the Tea Party don't like the Bush wars either, but there are many that do. The war spending is a prime reason we are in this debt crisis. The controlled Tea Party won't demand anything, unless the Republicans approve of it, the Real Ron Paul Tea Party will be shouted down and shunned by the Media and the establishment GOP.

I wish the Tea Party could embrace the same sense of priorities that caused Paul and Nader to join efforts. And I wish that on the other end of the political spectrum progressives would also embrace that sense of priorities. I remember seeing Nader on Democracy Now saying to Amy Goodman that there was a part of the Tea Party that was right on the money, the part supporting Ron Paul. He tried to make her see that there were people fighting tyranny on the right in the Tea Party.

Like Ron Paul and Ralph Nader do; there are good videos of the team on YouTube. They obviously have different views on some topics and yet they united around their common views regarding the important issues of foreign policy, privacy, federal reserve and more. They seem to know that their ideological differences are less important than their common rejection of tyranny.

Super Simplistic Breakdown: if the market is "free" (and unless you are totally ignorant of economic matters, we all know that it isn't), there is still 'reality', in which some people have billions at their disposal, and most do not. So even if the market is free, it is ultimately based on currency, which is very unfreely distributed, can't have the free market without predators

Sorry, but the only thing that accomplishes, is a far more powerful & more fully entrenched bureaucracy.
What MUST be done, is shrink the federal govt, by restricting it to only acting within the scope of the Enumerated powers, spelled out within the Constitution, reinforced by the Bill of Rights, as specifically required by the Tenth Amendment.
If we do that, I don't care how long they serve. As long as they abide by the Constitution, they can stay there & rot for all I care.

@HillbillyJ Get a reliable source of information on the health care bill. The 40% tax is on INSURERS and it only applies to premiums collected beyond $10k/year for individuals, $27.5K for families, i.e. the "Cadillac plans". If your family is paying $30,000/year in health insurance premiums (!!), your INSURER, not you, will be taxed 40% of $2500. Starting in 2018. Power to the people.

"We the People" are very strong! Our united people will show all politicians the need for them to listen and act upon our wishes in the comeing elections. "We the people" love our God given, conservative ways! Our politicians quickly need to listen to our God of heaven and "We the People"; then vote and pass laws, upon what they have heard.
