  • I love his voice.. what do you mean orangejuicelover that sinatra kaboshed him? what happened?

  • @deelovesdis Sinatra killed his career! A lot of rumors back in the day but Sinatra and his mother were ruthless!

  • @deelovesdis Hi there Ronnie here, I am Bill Miller's Nephew, If you do not know who Bill is, well, uncle billy played Piano for Sinatra SR for 47 yrs. This is the real story.... Sinatra's Mom Dolly, or Nat, like some use to call her, had a birthday coming, and because Roselli was born in Hoboken, and Dolly loved his Italian songs, and Frank Knew that, Jim was asked by Frank, through his people to preform at Dolly's birthday party, at Frank's request, as a surprise. More coming due to content

  • wonderful singer beautiful song why isnt there more great crooners like him anymore love it ty

  • Dying, he never pushed that fact. Other did, he did not care for Mr S for personal reasons. Two talents in tier own right. But Roselli has one of the best voices out there. A great Italian singer and of the standards. Very under-rated. But I saw him in person and that voice could have went right thru U.

  • He had a couple of nice ones, and this is great, but did he really have a right to push himself as "the other Frank Sinatra" just because he also came from Hoboken?

  • He was excellent, but I think Perry Como beats them all...

  • Roselli was much better then the Sinister one from Hoboken! Roselli is the greatest. How can anyone even compare their voices?

  • my father always listened to roselli when I was a kid, Great singer, he is one of a kind

  • Some, no, VERY FEW, rock and roll songs are ok but why can't we, including the teens, all go back to music such as this. Anything wrong with that?

  • I am from Brooklyn, NY and listened to Jimmy Roselli songs in the 60's...I love him! Love Sinatra too, but Roselli sings great Italian!

  • my dads pissed as a fart and loving this. thanks, never heared it myself

  • Memories...

    Thanks

  • I really like this song...Memories

  • Bella, bella. I think this is Jimmy's best song.

  • Nice version....thanks for sharing.

  • This is a Tearjerker

    Terrific

  • Roselli is the best. Better than Sinatra. I can't believe Sinatra kaboshed him. What a shame.

  • @OrangeJuiceLover1

No question about the voice.Roselli had it. Sinatra had the contacts, end of story.

But in all fairness to Frank,he sure had a stage presence, compelling.

  • @nwk38

Difficult to compare Rosselli to Sinatra. Jimmy was blessed with a beautiful voice, definitely among the best of the era. Frank Sinatra was known for his impeccable and intelligent phrasing. Although he never had a great voice, Frank could deliver a lyric better than just about anyone else, and his musical sense was excellent. I would still rather listen to Jerry Vale or Jimmy Rosselli than Frank Sinatra - but that is a matter of personal taste.

  • @motley7885 Sinatra could not hold the Roselli microphone1 Not that of Tony Bennett! I , too, love Roselli, Bennett and Vale. They are real singers!

  • @motley7885 Sinatra could not hold the Roselli microphone! Not that of Tony Bennett! I , too, love Roselli, Bennett and Vale. They are real singers!

  • @motley7885 frank was musically better when he had the sweet voice in his early years....each one of these guys has their own contribution to our great american music...don't forget bing!!!! I anm thankful for all of them!

  • @nwk38 How soooo true!!

  • To Larry 2463. My fathers Italian, my mother is not. She probably played more Italian music than my Dad. Sinatra, Dean Martin, Jerry Vale, Roselli, etc. Great memories. Thanks...

  • Tony, this ones for you !! Great voice, but Sinatra is still # 1 !!

  • thanks for posting this song I can listen to this song all day, and never get tired of listening to it. bella canzone

  • Being of Italian heritage, I remember my childhood home was always filled with this kind of beautiful music. The songs of Jimmy Roselli, Jerry Vale, Claudio Villa, and others, go hand in hand with some of my happiest memories of growing up. Thank you, thank you, so much for putting this music on YouTube.

You've put a smile in my heart and a tear in my eye from all the fond memories this brings back.

  • Jimmy Roselli was my grandfather's favorite singer. I miss you, Harry.

  • jimmy surly had one of the great voices.

i remember this song over 30 years ago..in a juke box...in a tavern..3 songs for 25 cents..and thats the genius of this song..you remember everything about the place and time of where you heard it.....sigh

  • jimmy roselli is my grandpas brother ralph rosellie aka sonny swear to god

  • I really enjoy Jimmy's singing! You know his REAL name is Michael. I have many of his albums and saw him live several times.

Too bad he has alienated so many friends and people in radio. I think he deserves more airplay and recognition. His being stuborn, cheap and arrogant has held him back. I know many DJ's who won't play him because of his personality. A shame... Such a great voice!

His daughter Ann is a fine singer too!!

  • Are you living in 1965 or something?

You "know many DJs who won't play him"??

They must be living in your imagination. Radio stations don't even play Sinatra, Martin and Damone anymore.

  • Great singer Great song.

  • Incredible. . .what a moving song, what a gifted singer. Grand combination, for sure.

  • i just love jimmy no matter what he sings...i wish i could see him one more time in my life..he is the gretest singer of all time..if any one knows where he is performing please post it.....love ya ji mmy

  • Jimmy was one the finest singers of all time.

but he was in the shadow of Frank Sinatra, and never received his due.

  • Jimmy did a great job singing this as a ballad. Two Thumbs Up! Joni James had a major

hit of this song sung with a much faster

    beat.

  • Thanks for posting Jimmy Roselli. Besides being a great Italian singer, he can sing the pop standards better then most.
