  • That is a lot of carbs you are getting from 6 slices of toast. How does your body digest all of those carbs without having an insulin spike? I know it's all complex carbs, but still. I have hypoglycemia, so I have to divide my carb intake throughout the day.

Your dietary fat intake is in direct correlation with your testosterone output. You need cholesterol in your diet if you are training. LDL is bad cholesterol, HDL is good cholesterol. Our country has a weight problem, but its not from whole eggs my friend. It is from fried foods, soda, proccessed carbohydrates that your body barely recognizes, and overeating.

  • @TonganMammoth That really bothers me too. Dietary cholesterol his shown to have little to no effect on cholesterol levels. It is also very important for brain development as the majority of your brain is made up of cholesterol.

    Must be new to bodybuilding or a powerlifter....

    I personally use yolks during off-season, just because i need qutie a bit of calories to gain fat. Other then that egg yolks aren't really a good choise... Not the best fat and in the morning you don't want lost of fat, more then 10 grams will slow down your digestive system.

    Nutritionism is a science and is to be threated AS SUCH, it's not some broscience for what works for who, your body is mechanism, same as a car and you can't neglect scientific analysis, Egg yolks are good for you!!!! Same as juice, just has to be spotted under very careful portion control.

    Frankly, i'm not sure what your trying to say, once again you want to compete in bodybuilding, egg yolks just aren't a good choise. The thing is, it doesn't matter wheter has he or not... If you don't give an actual scientific reason behind them being good, then there is no reason to even consider eating them, there are higher quality fats out there, cleaner ones, without any satured fats.

Its has an excellent amount of protein, healthy fats, and has no carbs. What higher quality fats are you referring to? Lol. You need saturated fats in your diet, the kinds that come from eggs, and steaks, not the finds from chocolate bars and desserts. Please go read up on some legit nutritional information.

    I'm studying biology in a university and am a competitive bodybuilder.

    That doesn't mean i'm a genius but i probably know something.

    Now, Not all fats in a yolk are healthy, most are, just around 75% to be precise.

    Fats aren't "good' by default, there are reasoning behind every single gram of fat being healthy or not so, unless you buy specialy bread eggs, they will not contain what is most essential kind of fat for muscle growth and weight loss, omega's.

    Even olive oil or even more superior fat to egg fat is rapse oil, it''s high in omega's and contains no bad fats, basicly, it's a lot cleaner kind of a food. Satured fats are indeed needed in a diet, however, it should not be over 5-10% of daily fat intake, following a medium diet, now, i hope you can atleast calculate how little satured fat you should have in your diet and re-think your absurd statement. But hey, i mean it's just common sense, right, you can do w.e you want to do.

  • @orks2 I don't compete nor partake in Bodybuilding. I train for BMX Racing and am a qualified personal trainer, I also have an NVQ in sports nutrition... I often blow through 1.5k calories in a 2-3 hour training session. Saturated fat both helps the liver and immune system as well as play a key role in proper hormonal function. Obviously vast amounts of fast food is going to kill you but a teaspoon of coconut oil (which is saturated fat) is good for you.

    Well, sure, of course, i can't disagree, almost anything, actually anything you find eadable in nature you actually need. I get it but, but i was never pointing in anything beside bodybuilding, other sports are very, very different and the food intake varies from one sport to another. For a couch potato also it's a different story.

I talk about the education system and healthy eating and living education after a documentary on it was shown and its shocking what kids over there at 15 16 years old dont know what the average european 6 year old knows about food and where it comes from, there were some hilarious answers if you are interested to know. :)

    Well, it's a long story kinda but in short, in American long time ago, kellogs made fakes studies that showed that egg yolks/eggs are horrible for cholestoral and made them look very dangerous so that people would switch to cereal as breakfast... Basicly, that was such a powerful lie, it had impact on not just American but the whole world. Nowdays, there are new studies that of course disprove it.

  • @TonganMammoth buddy, you can't eat 'too many' whole eggs - you will get high cholesterol. I've been told not to exceed 2 egg yolks a day to ensure that you don't get too much cholesterol but I would have to verify that number.... Anyway, yolks do have good vitamins so moderation is really the key... I usually do 6 egg whites with one or two yolks... FYI: I saw Jay Cutler eating 10 egg whites and 2 egg yolks for breakfast in one of his videos
