OK! Let's say that Leleuch is still alive, but don't you think that he would stay hidden for the rest of his life in order for his "plan of peace" to work. I mean - if he shows up the world's peace would be ruined. And it has been 3 years, if he had not died then the story would had already continued.
well i think that he is alive because C.C seems very happy ( or at least she dosn't seem sad which she would if he had died because that was her only reason for living). She said so that during the Flelia war at least, and lelouch was a great strategic so i think he would figure out a way for him to kkep on living so he could live on with C.C. The only thing that bugs me is that Suzaku is crying when he stabs lelouch. But i hope he didn't know of his finaly plan :)

She said that geass has always brought loneliness to people who possessed it and it wasn't quite right this time and asks lelouch "isn't it"?. this is a clear indication that her loneliness has gone with lelouch now by her side. she has been lonely since see got geass from the nun. and other thing in episode 24 of code geass R2 C.C asks lelouch to come back to her to make her smile again to which lelouch promises to come back and goes to fight

@TheRealLinkmstr Miraculous Birthday is a dream, dream of Suzaku, Nunnaly or maybe Kallen. I also had that too. you never know until they finally release a canon anime stating Lelouch is dead. The alternate ending that some says with lelouch face on the wagon driver also states that he is alive. And the director also said that lelouch might be dead or alive its up to the viewers to decide until they made it probably canon in anime.

From what I've seen in the anime, that rule only applies if you take the code of the person who gave you geass. C.C took the code of the nun, and the nun is the one C.C contracted with, and likewise, the emperor took the code of V.V, and V.V is the one the emperor contracted with. Lelouch took the code of the emperor, but he contracted with C.C, so he kept his geass. Because of that, he was the first to achieve "Code Geass".

Lelouch would rule the world by force, focusing the world's hatred on him, but while he's an emperor he destroys all weapons of war and asks Suzaku to kill him, along with the hatred unified, to push everyone into peace. Some people could say that Lelouch took Charle's code, but Nunally still 'read' Lelouch's mind of his plan. She would've known if the plan involved him living, but since it didn't, she cried out.

Because Nunally could have seen his plan: which is to die, but if he's immortal, he would still be alive, even though Nunally is correct that he "died" much like CC's "died," getting shot in the head and such throughout the show.

Why do so many people want lelouch to be alive? He died to unite the world. All this about him getting his fathers code doesn't make any sense.
First, lelouce's father got the code from his brother who gave him geass in the first place and c2 from the nun who gave it to her, they got the code from the one who gave them thier original geass.
second, nunnaly didn't collapse like lelouce an suzaku did when they touched C2.
third, why would C2 cry about his sacrifice and suzaku cry if he would live
@utubewatchero I so much agree with you. C.C. was sad ever since they started Zero Requiem. Just look at her when Lelouch takes the throne, or when she sits next to him. That is because she knew Lelouch was planning to die. She even tried to talk Lelouch out of it.
And not to mention the birthday special. It should say enough... I though it was released on purpose so people would stop saying Lelouch was still alive. But it didn't help :(

At first, she was adamant that he take her code. Then, when she fell in love with him, she wanted to spare him the torment. But Lelouch ended up loving her too, and wanted to fulfill his promise to her.
So, behind the scenes it would have been a battle of the wills, both out of love.

As much as I would like him to be alive, it would really cheapen his death and everything he did.
He gathered the hatred of the world unto himself, then sacrificed himself so it could be united. He died hated and despised, everyone he ever knew dispised him. He gave up everything to bring peace to the world.
If he was alive, the sacrifice he made would be deemed false.
That's great and all, but just because Lelouch is still alive it doesn't mean there will be an R3. Yes i know about Gaiden already. But it won't be the same as the characters will be different.
And ultimately the anime is called code geass for a reason, Lelouch received his code when charles choked him and basically lelouch now has his geass and Code

he didnt get the code because C2 would die from the code being taken as did V2. and charles cant transmit a code to a geass user that he didnt give geass to. it has to be the immortals code that the geass was born from. however there is a possibility that bbritaniaan medical science saved him because mao came back from being shot over 100 times so its probably due to medical science not geass
@shadowviscane1 VV didn't die from giving away the code directly. He died because after you give away the code, you are no longer immortal. CC will die after this lifetime, since L took her code, as promised.

But the whole point of CC giving Lelouch Geass in the first place was to take her code. He was unable to do so when he could not turn off his eye - that proves he was not capable.
However, after the encounter with his father and mother, his eyes returned to normal, showing he had finally gained full control over his Geass, meaning he is now ready to take CC's code.
Of course, I can only say with as much certainty as an educated guess.
wasnt it stated in the anime that when c2 appeared to be talking to herself, she was actually talking to marianne and v2 (not sure with v2)? she said lelouch's name in the cart, at the ending. and she mentioned something like: the power of the king brings ppl solitude. not too accurate, right lelouch? something like this. i guess it goes to show that lelouch isnt alone. so, yes. i really think lelouch is alive. i HOPE so.

The writers of the show that say he's dead is telling the truth and lying at the same time, cause he did die at least for a few minutes for him to become immortal.
ANYWAY. I know Lelouch won't be in R3, but there could always be a cameo. Hopefully that will set things right.

@geasslelouch actually when the code is activated you lose your geass since his didnt activate yet he still kept his geass when he was killed the code activated making him lose his geass also his survival isn't his choice like c2 she wants to die but cant because of the code meaning even if lelouch wanted to die he couldn't because of his code so he didnt try to survive it just happens he did

@lildanial1 the code returned to world of C technically not destroying but beside that this is more like Death note where the main character does in fact die but beside that it is implied he mastered his geass when he obtained it in both eyes and told the world of C to obey him but then again since it never says he mastered his geass that would also take away from him being immortal

From what I've seen in the anime, that rule only applies if you take the code of the person who gave you geass. C.C took the code of the nun, and the nun is the one C.C contracted with, and likewise, the emperor took the code of V.V, and V.V is the one the emperor contracted with. Lelouch took the code of the emperor, but he contracted with C.C, so he kept his geass. Because of that, he was the first to achieve "Code Geass".

Lelouch is dead.. They planned it. Lelouch would rule the world by force, focusing the world's hatred on him, but while he's an emperor he destroys all weapons of war and asks Suzaku to kill him, along with the hatred unified, to push everyone into peace. Some people could say that Lelouch took Charle's code, but Nunally still 'read' Lelouch's mind of his plan. She would've known if the plan involved him living, but since it didn't, she cried out.

@utubewatchero I so much agree with you. C.C. was sad ever since they started Zero Requiem. Just look at her when Lelouch takes the throne, or when she sits next to him. That is because she knew Lelouch was planning to die. She even tried to talk Lelouch out of it.

At first, she was adamant that he take her code. Then, when she fell in love with him, she wanted to spare him the torment. But Lelouch ended up loving her too, and wanted to fulfill his promise to her.
So, behind the scenes it would have been a battle of the wills, both out of love.

As much as I would like him to be alive, it would really cheapen his death and everything he did.
He gathered the hatred of the world unto himself, then sacrificed himself so it could be united. He died hated and despised, everyone he ever knew dispised him. He gave up everything to bring peace to the world.

he didnt get the code because C2 would die from the code being taken as did V2. and charles cant transmit a code to a geass user that he didnt give geass to. it has to be the immortals code that the geass was born from. however there is a possibility that bbritaniaan medical science saved him because mao came back from being shot over 100 times so its probably due to medical science not geass

But the whole point of CC giving Lelouch Geass in the first place was to take her code. He was unable to do so when he could not turn off his eye - that proves he was not capable.
However, after the encounter with his father and mother, his eyes returned to normal, showing he had finally gained full control over his Geass, meaning he is now ready to take CC's code.
Of course, I can only say with as much certainty as an educated guess.

wasnt it stated in the anime that when c2 appeared to be talking to herself, she was actually talking to marianne and v2 (not sure with v2)? she said lelouch's name in the cart, at the ending. and she mentioned something like: the power of the king brings ppl solitude. not too accurate, right lelouch? something like this. i guess it goes to show that lelouch isnt alone. so, yes. i really think lelouch is alive. i HOPE so.

@FreakyBow unfortunate enough lelouch might not be the main character cuss they said theres gonna be a new cast of characters without lelouch and c2 its just not code geass anymore they should of put another title on it instead of making everyone mad and sad
