  • who is drums here? not bunker is it?

  • sin palabras.....

  • who is the original author of this song? i don't assume it's Ian himself, or it would have been on 'This Is' right?

  • Early Tull rocks, Cornick's Bass Lines are awesome!

  • This is awesome rare Tull , I love it ... man I wish this was on CD !!

  • This is on CD, same version. Check the boxset "25 years of"

  • great sound quality for 1969!

  • Was this song written by Mick Abrams? It doesn't sound like Ian Anderson's style of writing.

  • clive bunker looks like 'animal' from the muppets!

  • January 9.-1969. Hendrix took the stage next!

I wonder if the two bands used the same equipment?

  • Yeah, they did!

  • jan 9th, jimmy page's birthday yo

  • Look up 'Mitch Mitchell drum solo' and you'll see it's Hendrix playing this same show later on after this very Tull opening act. Glenn Cornick is playing bass in this video where Hendrix later plugs in and plays guitar in the very same amp/stack. I still don't understand how you can interchange instruments with the same cab?? (Bass should be deeper than guitar cab).

  • I think it makes no difference but don't know for sure. Saw Tull twice in Copenhagen, 1969 and 1970. 10. jan. opener for Experience, the day after this Stockholm performance. Took 4 pics of Cornick.

  • Guitar cabs, (usually 4x12"), are usually alot thinner than bass cabs. I have a P-bass and I've tried playing through guitar cabs = awful tone. Do you still have those pics!?

  • I surely have. They can be seen on the Jethro Tull website.

  • Also, Glenn Cornick is using a 1962 Jazz bass here. Look at the rolling stone's 'rock and roll circus' performance by JT, you'll see cornick is using the same bass but the headstock is reversed!, (tuner keys are upside down). Cornick didn't like the Jazz neck, (plus the frets were worn), so he switched it out for a P-bass neck.

  • Fine Fine Quite Fine! Thanks!

  • what a belter!!!! :-)

  • This version is also on the 25th Anniversary boxset.

  • Tull never disappoints! Saw them in the '70s at New Haven Coliseum, (just torn down), and a few years ago at Foxwoods Casino. Still great, Ian's voice a bit strained, but flute playing better with age. If you get the chance, see 'em!

  • What a bunch of hippies. Seriously, I LOVE EM

  • did this ever make it onto a record? Never heard it before.

If anyone has a link to any of Benefit songs, please send it on!

  • tull's old stuff is by far their best.

  • this video is a real clasic and I am really happy its out for everyone to see Ian Anderson in his early years.

  • this is old and great

  • Early Jethro, is so cool!

  • Great video. Love The Tull's all the way and I'm happy to see this. Many thanks for uploading.
