Listen to Khursheed over and over again. She is magical and without her talent this song would be a little hard to listen to. The composer did not really grasp how to use the talents of this greatest singer of the last century.

Khursheed has made this above average tune into a great song by the magic of her voice and singing ability. The song is too short and does not have enough high notes. Khursheed was great in high notes and this talent should have been better utilized by the composer. Indian music could have been even better if we had better composers.

Credit goes to Gyan Dutt to extract the best from Khursheed in this song and others of this movie like Panchchi Bawra in Raag Maru Bihag. Accompanying music in songs of Bhakta Surdas is of divine quality.My respect for Gyan Dutt and Khursheed has increased many fold after listening to this song. Gyan Dutt along with Kamaldas Gupta can be placed at the same padestal occupied by the greatest RC Boral,Khemchand Prakash.
