Turkish is grammatically almost the same as Korean and Japanese, close to Finnish and contains almost 5000 french and hundreds of Farsi and Arabic words. Turkish is a quite old language with its over hundreds of thousands original words. There is no similarity between Turkish and Farsi, Arabic except religious words and a few other words such as Çay, sabun (it comes from Hindu, I guess), cumhur...etc. A Japanese or Korean can learn Turkish much easier than an Arabic or Persian.
