Regardless of what Republican's think, morals are not the government's job. There's a reason the founding fathers made sure to separate church from state. Since the only "real" argument against gay marriage comes from religious doctrine it should not be considered when making laws. We don't actually put murderers in prison because they broke some religious rule. We put them there because they committed an act detrimental to society. As gay marriage would not harm society it shouldn't be illegal.

I love this powerful commentary. What motivates peoples to be so mean spirited to forbid our marriages? We just want to live lives in peace, share joy and want to be respected.
