The reason for the resistor is not so the points
will last longer, it to reduce the current to coil
after vehicle is running, reducing the heat gain
in coil. just thought i would note that..

....i hate wires! lol can anyone send me a diagram of a simple turn signal switch circuit lol, i got a bike im workin one and and im putting 2 front 2 back. i guess i would need 2 relays and one inline fuse to the battery...i hate wires!
