  • This is an absolutely OUTSTANDING solo performance by Joey Kibble.

    Beautifully Done by Take 6.

  • A song of hope, such a beautiful song.

  • Jesus is working through these beautiful people. This is amazing on more than one level <3

  • @SherdonP @jarbon5 is right. That high Db is the same voice he holds through the beginning of that phrase on the studio album. It's articulated a little differently here, but all the chord voices and moving harmonies are just as they were in the original arrangement.

  • @ 1:17, i like how the lead singer notices his brother hittin the high note (most likely not rehearsed exactly like that lol) and turns around and smiles.

  • @SherdonP That was a pretty comical look that the lead singer (Joey Kibble) gave his brother (Mark Kibble)! But, Mark wasn't doing anything wrong here, the note he was singing here is the one he sings in the song. Still, got a laugh here:)

  • This is just TOO pretty! Lovely song, lyrics, harmony. LOVE IT!

  • This Song is so fully packed with beautiful harmony changes it's unbelievable...and it's so lyrically sung that it sends shivers down my spine the whole song through.

  • i'm going to have this played at my funeral

  • fun fact.

only one of them can read music :)

  • if only that were tru man:) Most of them have degrees in arranging and stuff

  • @pensarecool GET OUT!!!! Didn't they all meet in college studying music?

  • @acappellaworship They met at Oakwood University (back then called Oakwood College), and the group members changed all the time back then, since it was a group of students singing. It wasn't a music study, and it wasn't the same group as it is now. So this fact could be true. And I'm guessing the piano player (don't know which one that is xD) is the one than reads music ;)

  • They are musical supermen!!!!!!!

  • amazing

  • cant top these dudes... period.

  • This is prophetic evangelism all day long... Take 6 is my group forever. My man Joey, walking in what's his from the Lord!

  • Yeah, I love Take 6....favorite group..but I agree with Nubi1984 , Boyz 2 Men need to quite playing and come over to the gospel side.

  • I'm so glad that Take 6 are a Christian group...just AMAZING!!!

Now, Boyz II Men need to come on and cross over!

    Nubi

  • lieblich. wunderschön!

  • I love this song!! Take 6 harmonizes so beautifully!

  • Still beautiful...Still a great song....Still blessed by it. Yes, thanks Take 6. Praise God.

  • Wow. Thanks Take 6 for showing us that great as you are, you are also human (We all have stumbled even in what we are great at). You are still my favourite group for a tie with Blessed Hope, of course. We are not there yet and we still look up to you. Thanks, Take 6.

  • this is sweet, touching, awesome and can see Christ's face that I adore. thank u God.

  • the best vocal group ever

  • ok im just gonna say this....im not a christian, but THIS is beautiful.

  • @hootieti for the record....im not a christian. :)

  • @hootieti You know what? I'm not a Christian either, but these fellas make me wish I was.

  • @dangerbooboo well i am now, but things like this song is what led me to this life and its been fantastic ever since. makes you see this song in a whole new light. :)

  • @dangerbooboo well thaks to this and many other things, i am one now....:) and its been the best decision of my life.

  • As a musician, I understand, respect, and adore the high artistry of this group. Thank you heavenly Father for these great humans.

  • Obviously some people don't truly understand how complicated their harmonies are or what it's like to have to sing like that with a tired voice. The song is beautiful regardless of some stumbles. They are my favorite group hands down. They're the best!

  • Joey is so cute!

  • oh my!!!!! I totally agree with you...I love Joey Kibble

  • Hey Joey u have a great voice and take 6 have a good harmony!

tahx to sing for Jesus and us.

  • They've got this song on their "So Cool" album which is in my car at all times. Its an awesome studio recording. Sends the right kind of shivers up my spine. Saw them live once at a church in Scarborough, Ontario. Marvellous !!

  • Thank you!!!...:)

  • WONDERFUL!

  • i think this may be my favorite take 6 song. yeah they aren't always perfect live. studio version is awesome tho.

  • Take 6 is my favorite popular gospel group, but they are also human. Yes, beautiful song, beautiful singing. And, yes, though I don't play, I sing and so I can hear the opening fumble--Joey came in a little flat on his solo. And because they are great musicians, the whole piece automatically self-corrects, and the pitch issue is taken care of. They are still the greatest, because the ordinary group would probably mess the song up.

  • This is one of my favorite of Take 6's songs. And the song is composed to move between those 2 keys. (I have the original). They do that on a few of their songs. The harmony is awesome!

  • this song reminds me of my father, when we use to listen those incredible voices and spending good time together .... sweet souvenirs :)

  • Joey Kibble has a very unique voice. Very beautiful.

  • They dropped a pitch because the song was composed and arranged to sound that way if you notice they picked up the original pitch again

  • F# to F

  • this message is for everyone who posted anything about them dropping pitch.......WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE AMAZING IF THEY DROP A PITCH OR NOT HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA PRAISE HIM

  • jboogie and baldwyn, you're absolutely right, they did drop in pitch just a bit: started out higher (no offense teatree04, but not lower) and gradually they come down and at 00:46 the lead singer pulls it back down - on 'despite' - , then it has come down from (slightly underneath) fis (that's what it's called in the Netherlands, is it f-sharp?), at the very beginning, to f from 00.45 onwards. Nevertheless utterly brilliant. So beautiful.

  • are you people serious analyzing such completly beautiful music with harmonies almost no group of singers can reapeat talking about they dropped pitch? So it wasn't 440Hz all the way. Sue them.

  • Praise God 4 such wonderful muzik. Help you to think of home....just a few more miles...just a few...

  • Actually they do drop, not that they go flat while singing it, but they start in a lower key (which might account for why the bass sounds weaker plus mics, camera recordings and all that). Also it seems just a bit slower, they tend to let u dwell on and enjoy every note on their slower songs when performed live!

    Oh really good performance btw!

  • it does not drop. try to listen to the beguining of the song and then jump right to the end of it.

    they're just amazing,man....

  • Yeah, really... Cool!

  • the bass is not as strong as on the album. but it is a great song

  • Beautiful~ You can feel the emotion that goes in to their singing~ I love these guy's~Thank you!

  • This song performed by Take 6 at the end of a show that I went to see in Abano Terme (Italy) was one of the greatest emotions I never had in a concert. Thank you guys, thank you!!! :-))))

  • jboogie... you have a good ear.. they did drop in pitch just a bit... from f-sharp to f if I am correct...they are still the best though

  • Ive never seen them perform it live and thats good stuff. They sang too. I can tell, it drops in pitch. It is still good stuff. That is one of my favorite songs.

  • i like that song.
