A PBusardo Tutorial : Filling Boge 510 Cartomizers

I am new to the vaping thing, Only been doing it for a month. I bought the blu cig and am interested in buying the boge 510 carts to fill myself with Johnson Creek Smoke Juice. I'm new to everything..lol I know I should get standard resistant carto's for the blu battery, but the condom method that you are doing right here, what would happen if you turned it around the other way and pushed it in that way instead of the battery thread way? Just curious.

Oh I was going to ask as well... With bigger cartos like resurrectors, the condom method isn't as effective. Any suggestions?

@erichill78 I still use the condom for XL type cartos, it just may take more than one condom fill. As you get into the even bigger cartos, like the EGO Megas, there are no condoms so you need to drip or syringe.

Do you allways wait for a little burnt taste to refill? I'm paranoid haha I'm allways looking at the top to see if the filler is dry.. and its become tedious topping it off all the time.

@erichill78 I usually wait for a slightly dry taste or less flavor. Then I'll top off. I don't usually wait for a burnt taste because at that point, you could be burning your inner core material.

Any ideas on how you can improve the wicking with 100% VG? It's cold in Canada and the vg just will not wick. Filling is okay but I only get maybe 4 drags off it before it goes dry and doesn't wick.

@ghostofseven Never had this happen with a Boge carto, hot, cold, or in between. Are you sure it's a Boge and its completely filled?

Hi Phil. Just got some Boge 2.0's today based on your recommendations. This method worked great for my PG juice and absorbed really well. I tried with my 100%VG and it seemed not to work very well at all. I understand that VG is VERY thick compared to the PG, but did you have any issues using this method with your VG? Does it just take a lot longer?

@BlackSwarm1 Yep! Just takes longer. PG is a pain in the butt sometimes. If I want to speed things up, I give the condom a little squeeze from the bottom and then release. It forces the juice into the carto. Typically the juice is going to shoot out the air hole. Just keep pumping until you feel it's no longer taking juice in and fully soaked. Give it a slight blow through both ends to clear out the airway (with paper towel under it) and you should be good to go.

You know, when i first got the 510's I thought you were only supposed to put a few drops in, so I was smoking the fibers at first :\ I still get a bit of a crackling sound, when i fill it up through the bottom, is that normal? I looked at a few other tutorials and this one was the most concise and clear. (subscribed).

@DeadGiveawayBeats Thanks very much! Yep, the crackling is the juice "cooking" on the coils. I like the crackle! Let's me know things are working! Always keep that carto nice and moist. Dry cartos will burn up almost instantly, and once they burn... game over!

I have a mega dual cartomizer, works great. But im afraid that change flavour will blend with other flavour, is it easy to change flavour? Because you cant really see when it's empty

What do you think of the Dual cartomizer Tank? Good flavour, vapour?

Hi Pete, just thought I would let you know that Boge cartos no longer work. They've cheapened the material and ripped us off, I've been buying boge for a long time, and the last month or so, all they do is give a soggy, unpleasant vape. It's almost like smoking a wet cigarette.

I don't know if it's like that in the states, but there have been many complaints on forums regarding Boge in the UK.

Can you just fill it from the top where the mouth piece comes off?

@Cook2430 There are lots of ways, this is what I do. I recommend the condom method for the initial fill to be sure you fully soak the filler material and then from the top for top-offs.

Of course you can fill a dry carto from the top down, but 1) you want to avoid the air hole to prevent the juice from running right through, and 2) it may take a while cause you're going to drip down the side and wait for it to soak in, drip down the side and wait for it to soak in, over and over till full.

@pbusardo I've found that you don't need to use the "spin over your head" method when filling from the top. 4 or 5 shakes, like you're shaking a thermometer, is all you need to force the fluid to the bottom.

Imo it's faster than the condom method, cleaner and works just as well.

I do blow out the carto at the end, but after a few times you get a pretty good idea of how many drops your carto can take and don't need to blow it out anymore.

No, I have tried them with a Riva, Epower and Screwdriver all at 3.7v. Think I will stick to atties. Cartos' and me just don't mix.

I have never had any luck with cartos'. I always get the burnt acrid taste that seems to melt your sinuses. Recently I bought a 5 pack from Liberty-Flights only because they had 165 reviews saying how wonderful these things are.

I tried your filling method to the letter after watching the video and I have tried filling with syringe, dripping around the side, you name it I have tried it. I have left them to satnd for 5 minutes, an hour and even over night. Still I get the acrid burning.

@tribanthium Not sure why this is happening to you. I love my Boge LR cartos. I NEVER get an acrid, burning taste from them. Not sure what's going on. Question... you're not running LRs @ 5V are you?
