  • BITCH...

  • :

I don't think people today understand the gravity and power of the saying "I'm gonna break your neck"

1:18 ...why are they dressed up like human hot dog buns?

Sorry, I mean no disrespect, but I can't stop thinking about that.

  • @mingweicello So true, but I realise that the voices help me to stay myself, watching the horrible cruelties. The cruelties, the habits, the rituals, they remind me of today, of what is still here, used in some religions, created by mankind, on this planet, called earth.... different, but in fact the same..... That is the most cruel discovery. We are watching 2010.

  • @mingweicello Tibetans are actually known for human sacrifices too. it's not like Buddhism is all peaceful and nice, ya'kno

  • @mingweicello Because they are ignorant. And famous. Bad combination. I am a Callas fan, but this movie is a bummer.

  • The chants and trumpets are sooooo Tibetan. It seems to have been the fashion back then...

  • and the action is so much like Aztec sacrifices.

  • Who is the boy that dies?well, that they kill?please!

  • sacrifice to gods, I think

  • the expressions on all these actors are amazing!

  • this is just the one of Peter Paolo Pasolini's grea t movies. Maria Callas is great asMedea.

  • Why did they do that to the guy????

  • He was sacrificed... his life for the life of the the fields, for the sustainment of the tribe. Parts of his body is buried in the fields and some of his blood is used to smear plants so that his strength can be passed on to the fields. The flesh and blood are like the flesh and blood of Christ, who died for our eternal life (if you are Christian). Fantastic Pasolini.... who else would do something like this?

  • It's not just that. At first they salve and revere him, like a god, and afterward they kill him, and bury his body in the fields, so that not just any strength, but the strength of a god can make their fields bloom.

  • yes, of course. he is sacred to the gods and in that moment he's divene himself.

  • He left the fridge door open.

  • this portion of the film was shot in Cappadocia in central Anatolia.

  • e c kak o cazz

  • Mica sei di Napoli? :D

  • noooo...alto tirolo!! :D

  • não vejo a legenda..

  • Maria Callas, just beatiful.

  • What a beatiful movie!

    My favorite!

  • ...what is it about..?
