In interview A he's lying because he's looking slightly to the left, and when you look to the left you are lying because the lying function of your brain is on the left side.
At story A he looked to his right to recall information
and answered questions at a comfortable pace
Story B However he kept looking at the camera the moment he answered the question and there is half second shorter response latency time to the questions
Sorry your not a body language wizard
Neither am i i study like crap to know this stuff
You can also see that the hand gestures and the things he says are not in sync. He sometimes first makes the hand gesture and then says what the hand gesture would be illustrating.
i would just ask if he is Christian, before the interview. Because if he's not, he would be more comfortable lying, but if he was, he would be more comfortable telling the Truth.
for me its obvious after one watching without picing up many details. definitely the 1 one is a lie.the 2 is truth. mostly based on bodylanguage. also on 1or2 details like when he speaks about music in the movie. nobody takes the subject music(positively) to talk about if its not his favor movie unless he is prepared what he have to talk but not in the moment.2 good sign:to how many times he answers many times. a clearly honest answer.
You are correct, but according to Wiseman, bodylanguage is not reliable in trying to determine whether someone is lying. He claims the most accurate way of determining the use of short sentences in the first story indicating lying, and emotional investment in the second story which is the truth.
i think its bodylanguage plus the short sentences but after giving it a thougt its for me the most about timing. his timing in the way he speaks in the 1 one is terribly unnatural. especialy when he anwers to questions.
im guessing the second one was a lie for a couple of reasons. firstly, his second answer was much shorter, and he referred to himself much less frequently. in the first he referred to himself more and why he liked it, whereas in the second he gave more of a description of the movie. those are the tips suggested in the Quirkology book, but i'm not 100% certain that im right....
blinking when he first stared lying is frequent, after he gets in to the lie he calms down and its harder to spot. his hands staying togeather id body launguage is saying comforting himself hiding and protecting himself.
I think lying is a bad thing to do, and Using the example of the core is a bit tricky, it makes you think it cant be he's favourite film because everybody knows that film is dog shit. But still I say he's lying the first time, he gives to many details, as if he was trying to convince himself....
he lied about the movie the core. his hands were closed a lot of the times. that gave it away. when he spoke of the other movie his hands were open also he was leaning back more and was comfortable discussing the second movie. it was obvious.
I bet the A is a lie. I've seen both movies and I can't image someone could like the movie Core that way. Besides he smiles way more sincerely by the second movie. I am, however, a lousy lie detector, so I can be wrong. :-)
yeah clearly A, couple things, to much movement, blinking, and his hands is waving a sign or nervesness, and pablos511 if you wanna learn how, watch Body Language by Kevin something
i think he is lying in the second one because he was less enthusiastic, stammered and paused a lot, had a nervous smile and didnt like making eye contact while he was speaking.
I would say he is lying for the first answer (the Core).. Mainly because he exlpained it with all the sincerity of a QVC presenter! Exaggerated hand movements might indicate nervousness. Smiling when he starts explaining the 5th Element. Like he was desribing an old friend.
"a-a-a-and". I say lying in the first one because every snippet of information was given as if from a list of things he knew about the movie that he was trying to connect together with the word "And" which was stretched out as he tried to remember the next detail to give. For the second movie though there was a much better connection to the film as if he truly was passionate about it. He was actualy trying to make excuses for it and sell it to the interviewer.
hes lying about the core because hes less open with his arms when people are describing something and being honest they open their arms out wider, open body language usually means telling the truth.
Well since The Core fucking sucked I think that he is lying there because I don't see how anyone could even like that film let alone have it as there favorite movie.
i think the first one, cuz seems that he is so excited to tell about everything he knows. seems that he has been memorizing everything and don't want to miss any of the facts that he had learn. The second one, he is not sure about his answer but.... he is very relax there... usually when I lie, i tend to be so persuasive.. hahaa...
I'm not really sure...he's a good liar. I believe he is lying in the second one, though, because of 3 things. First, his eyes move to his upper left, which means he is creating a response as opposed to upper right - recalling the movie. Second, when he smiled in the second one, it seemed forced, and third, because of what ChipMagnet said about his explaining the movie instead of explaining his opinions. The blinking won't give it away, by the way.
that was cool! umm i think he was lying in the second one because in the second one he seemed more relaxed then the first one. also in A he talked about how he liked the adventure and thats all he could talk about. in B it seemed like he had more he could say about it
I also thought about the blinking in the video would give away the lie, but he blinks a lot even when telling the truth. Lies tend to be creative, so pauses and 'uh' might give the lie away.
I think he blinks a lot in int A, to make you beleive that he is lying, but its some trick and really he is lying in B. When asked if he has seen it several times he said many, and that just sounds weird to me. Where as in the first one he said he was it loads of time which sounds more natural.
After seeing the answer, I see I guessed wrong! haha

AND HE STAMMERS ALOT!

It's hard for me to believe that either of those movies is actually his favorite. I think he's lying/performing at least a little in both of them.

he likes the 5th element........nobody could like the core!!!lol
TastyCake001 2 years ago
I would say he lies about 5th Element. Because in here he doesn't talk about details, unlike The Core he talks about very specific details.
Usually people will use the I word a lot more in something they like but here it's pretty even so that clearly isn't a tie-breaker.
So am I right is The Core his favorite movie?
rdoetjes 3 years ago
Well that was off...
rdoetjes 3 years ago
@rdoetjes his voice has way more passion in it while talking about 5th Element, for The Core he was using way to many details

also because before he starts talking in the first one, you can see him take a deep breath, and swallow, like hes getting ready for a performance.
