  • well to be truthfully honest the steering was a little vague

  • driving like Grandad, in a supercar, waste

  • dude, how in the world could you tape this, while there is only one chair in the car?

  • @RITGT actually it has 3 seats

  • What an incredible bit of engineering . . .

  • Comment removed

  • wow driving like a pussy even on the straight

  • @0salot your stupid

  • @0salot dude, it is a 3.8 million dollar car, what the fuck do you expect?

  • Some old guy who had a stroke must have spent his life savings on the best supercar... lol!!!

  • Not full throtell but

  • U drive around in third gear pansy cane the fucker its a super car not a skoda.

  • A true super car because it doesnt turn into a grocery getter after. Raw and unplugged all the time

  • Listen noise when engine is off-throttle...Sounds like engine with forced induction.

This is THE BEST BMW ENGINE ever produced. I really cant understand that bmw dont have engine like this after 15 years!!! This must be some conspiracy theories between mclaren and bmw!!!

  • honeestly if you put me in any super car in the world, i would go fast, but not dangerously fast. (only speed on empty highways) buti swear if you put me in a mclaren f1 i would get killed instantly because id probbaly try to go 230 in a school zone!! lol

  • 7:45 is a pretty fast time for someone who dare not go past 240kmh, even on the longest straights, and 2x overtakes. With a talented driver, the stock f1 might beat the koenigsegg ccx, or even keep up with the enzo and zonda f.

  • BMW V12 !!!! Only BMW can make engines.

  • Does it come in pink

  • No helmet, bad!

  • Sounds like a freakin jet spooling up!

  • I wounder how much gas is left if the car does 5-MPG city or at HWY-18MPG

  • Still the ultimate supercar is my books!

  • STILL the best supercar / hypercar of all time...AND the only decent non turbo one at that!

  • @TrickyD360 - hmm, Pagani Zonda? I know the F1 is brilliant... but the Zonda has to be a close second.

  • yeah, i gree.......

  • Can i take a ride in your mclaren F1 please ?

  • @julemanden800 probably only if you give him your wife for a ride :P

  • everyone loves so much this car, and yes it is awesome, on the straights, but in this track must be scary and thats why its almost impossible getting a good time, ill say a 7:35 to 7:40, eventhough thats good, its an old car. its just the feeling i get from this car, and by the way i like ferraris but all in all i just love all kind of cars

  • @Fedex08

No. This guy is taking it real easy, and not pushing at all.

Put a former LeMans driver behind the wheel of this road version or the GTR and it would still keep up with anything new out there.

An F1 on the limit is only achievable by a few drivers. Which is why it's called a proper driver's car. Any ham-fisted idiot with a few hundred grand can go buy a 458 or a LP560 and turn decent laps. Hell, even the Veyron. You can't crash those unless you're an idiot.

  • @John814

Actually the standard, stock F1 is not a very good track machine in the standard configuration. It was never meant to be. It was meant to be the ultimate road car, not ultimate track car. The F1 only does 1:04s on Tsukuba; which is, not very impressive at all for a car this light and with this much power. The LM and GTR are obviously a different story, but they are anything but comfortable and usable on the road, the latter not even being legal in the first place.

  • everyone loves so much this car, yes it is awesome, on the straights, but in this track must be scary, and that makes it impossible to get a really good time for it, i think a 7:35 to 7:40, eventhough thats good. dont hate me mclaren fanboys, and byt the i love all kind of cars

  • I HOPE he wasn't trying to set any records here! lol seriously.. I dunno if this was a professional driver or just some rich guy trying his car out on a circuit.. the way he was driving and the sounds .. I hope it was just the ladder... Whoever it was he was just pussy footing around in that thing .. I want to see a record attempt with a good driver, in an F1 LM!!

  • I heard that Flemke crashed his blue mclaren f1 on the autobahn recently. sad....

  • THIS mclaren f1.

  • @ASSHOLELA yeah but the article said it can be repaired for about 180,000 pounds right?

  • @exoticarfan not sure, wish there was more vids

  • wow if i could choose, i would so have this mclaren f1 over the bugatti veyron.

  • While the Dodge fanboys have been bragging about holding the "record" with a modded Viper, the McLaren would beat it for sure if this driver was pushing it to the limit. I wouldn't be surprised if it puts a time of under 7:20 easily.

  • best look best sound best feeling. mclaren f1

  • Imagine if he crashed, WOW, then I would be Depressed...

  • Sounds like an m3 csl!!

  • @latbeast it is made of a BMW V12 tho

  • Comment removed

  • drving this slow on this babe is such a shame

  • @lincolnwan1982 would you push the limits in a 3million dollar discontinued car?

  • hes just cruising listen to the revs

  • 4:12 The most manly sound ever

  • A lovely song from that BMW V12...to clear the mind and cleanse the soul.

  • Thank you very much for sharing one of the best automotive soundtracks ever made.

  • what time did it get ?

  • Now thats what a supercar should sound like... the best car ever

  • My question would be: How did the person who is recording this video get in the car with the driver? I mean, there's only one seat in the car and it's located right in the middle of the car. So....yeah?

  • @ShinFuYux The McLaren F1 has a 3 seat side by side layout. There are passenger seats on either side of the driver.

  • ur a retard theres three seats fuck head

  • Errrr....A McLaren F1 has 3 seats

  • one of the best supersportscars ever made

  • Yea, I'd love to know what time a McLaren F1 can get round the Nurburgring in and I'd love to know what time a McLaren F1 LM can do it in :P

This guy is doing a nice pace but no where near the limits, can't say I blame him as he is in the worlds greatest car worth £2 million+ and rising...

Anyone know the McLaren F1's best time round the track?

  • Don't think it's been timed, but I doubt either the F1 or F1LM would be that fast - probably a fair bit slower than the Nissan GT-R for example. Don't forget that the design for this car dates back to the early 90s at least!

  • @christianmouse Sorry but the McLaren F1 corners faster than a Bugatti Veyron (2005), corners faster than a Ferrari Enzo (2002), is faster to 60 than an Enzo and has a higher top speed. I wouldn't underestimate the McLarens lap time as the cars technology was so advanced it wasn't until 2005 that a car could match its top speed (12 years to beat it by 1 mph). A Nissan GTR would not have a chance on a track against a McLaren F1 (certainly not a LM) and Im not trying to pick a fight its fact :(

  • The Mclaren will smoke a GTR around the Nurburgring it weighs less than a Miata.

  • Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see it (man, I'd pay to see it!), and I would love the F1 to be officially clocked in the low 7-min category. I just think that tyre, brake and suspension technology would mean that whilst an F1 will come out of each corner like a scalded cat and leave the others 1987LOZ1987 mentioned for dead on the straights it wouldn't be able to maintain that lead under braking. Cornering I also think would be doubtful if it was on original-spec tyres and suspension.

  • Thats true to some extent. An Enzo and a Veyron will both stop better than a McLaren. Brake technology HAS moved on, Gordon Murray has said so himself. I dont think an Enzo will corner much faster though, and a Veyron certainly not. It would great to see what the 3 of them could do in lap times round the nordslief.

  • Even with that tyre suspension and break technology the cars figures sugest that it handles corners better than the Veyron and Enzo. As for the brakes well I know the F1 takes 5 Metres more than an Enzo to go from 60-0 so that's going to have some effect but if it can handle the corner at a higher speed and can accelerate quicker then in theory it should post a quicker time than an Enzo (In theory :P )

  • Thats a myth. McLaren F1 road car is not worth 2 million. Some of the rare versions might be but its very hard to say because they dont come up for sale often. The most recent McLaren road cars ive seen for sale have been advertised around the £700k mark.

  • Oh come off it. The McLaren F1's value increases every year, that's a FACT.

On October 29 2008, an F1 road car (chassis number 065) was sold at RM Automobiles of London auction for £2,530,000 (US $4,100,000). That's a standard F1 (Not even a GTR or a LM)

That £700k is BS that's what they were worth in 1993...

  • @1987LOZ1987 Yeah that auction was what caused the current myths about what an F1 is worth at the moment but that car was a completely unique time warp condition, delivery milage vehicle, being the famous car that sat in the parklane showroom for all those years. The F1 doesnt just increase every year as a general rule. Its not that hard to find one for sale and find out the price! £700k was realistic in '09. In '04/'05 it was £600k, a fair amount of depreciation with inflation
  • this guy knows what i am saying.

and with the new mp4-12c's coming out it may lower the prices of the F1, but who knows you just cant look this car up on kelly blue book and get a value. And so many factors play into the value of the car as well even the owner of the car has a vital role as well

  • @1987LOZ1987 But being at an auction, people would pay more just to buy the car. Recently the first Ferrari 458 Italia that has come over the the USA sold for about $530,000. but it was an auction and also for haiti. But it doesn't mean that the 458 is gonna cost 500k, it was just how much someone ended paying for it at an auction.

  • @Uv7x77 I don't get your point??? Any VERY rare car that RARELY comes up for sale (like the McLaren F1) will be sold at auction... Are you saying that not all F1's will be sold at an auction??? As I highly doubt someone who wants to sell their F1 (worth at LEAST £1 Million) will pop down to the local car dealer and take whatever they offer (which will be 50% of the true value)

  • I know its a very rare car. Finding one for sale is actually not that hard, you just have to know the right places to look. But for us to put a value on any McLaren F1 car is kinda stupid actually. And im am positive that no one here actually owns an F1. And yes i am saying that NOT ALL F1's are gonna be sold at auction. I am pretty sure an F1 owner would not be that stupid and take it to a local dealer to sell their F1 lol

  • @Uv7x77 I know where to look for F1's but you cant get access unless you are a serious customer. You won't find a McLaren F1 for sale unless you bid for it. Cars are either sold for a fixed price or a highest bid. Please dont tell me you believe someone will put an F1 up for sale for a fixed price and not ask people to bid for it.

As for the new mp4-12c coming out, this will not affect the price of McLaren F1's, no car will ever affect the price of McLaren F1's lol, trust me on that.

  • @danny355 Not sure about that. A rough, beaten up GTR might be £700k might be £700k but a road car for less than £1m would be such a bargain I'd buy it! I know of one GT for sale at present and the current owner would laugh at an offer of £1m...

  • @christianmouse

Theres no such thing as a rough F1! All F1s are in fairly similar condition, ie

looked after to money no object standards. Again, its easy to find a roadcar for sale and enquire the price,

£700k was realistic money last year and

in '04/'05 there was a few cars for quite a bit less than that.

  • @danny355 Sorry you're wrong, it's not easy to find an F1 road car, it really isn't lol.

As a number of the F1's have died over the past 18 years and there was less than 70 to start with, the F1 is extremely rare and if someone wants to buy one they will have to pay the big £'s as when one comes for sale (it rarely does) but when it does there are many millionaires who show interest.

£700k is not realistic, maybe in 1998 - 2000 but not in 2010, sorry no idea where you get your figures.

  • @1987LOZ1987

With all due respect I know what im talking about when it comes to F1s. Just to clear up all the innacuracies in the points you

make: There were 65 road cars made and NONE have been written off. This includes the US car that was recently severely fire

damaged. There are always cars on the

market and there are cars on the market

right now. So stop speculating as if it were fact and find out about what you're talking about before opening your mouth in the

    future.

  • @danny355 With all due respect, I know what I'm talking about. Firstly I was aware of 3 models damaged. Secondly, you told Carsuk they are also wrong and they have proof F1s dont go for £633k. I have a business associate who was told by three different companies in the industry that if one does come available it will be minimum £1.5 Million. £1.5 Million is not within his budget but £700k may. If one is available at £700k please show me or I can give you his email.

    Regards

  • @1987LOZ1987 mc f1 lmxp 01 by mika hakkinen 7:11.

    this one 7:45

  • dang i wish he was giving it 100%. Too bad.

  • Brianbergin, your stupid liitle 1.4 Focus (learn to spell..it's not foucus) would NOT be a McLaren F1...dumb ass,..turn in your drivers license now, you're to stupid to have a car with talk like that

  • How dumb are you? He was obviously kidding. Of course a 4-cylinder economy car isnt going to beat a fully tuned race car. God damn

  • great video, his pace is pretty fast doesnt look like he is pushing it so hard but then again the fastest laps or the smoothest ones right!?

fantastic sound, great camera position.. thanks to the owner/driver for sharing a drive in such a rare and exceptional car. really, thank you that was a fun drive haha

  • my 1.4 foucus would eat this car

  • The driver in question has said numerous times that his pace on that occasion was 'comfortable, not car-breaking'. Obviously both he and his (very expensive) car have a lot in reserve. Modest as he is, he's really quite a good driver and a nice guy too.

  • man did you ever hear of sarcasm ;-)

  • Ive a 1l Corsa B with no exhaust that would too!

  • The car is pretty expensive and I think maybe the guy doesnt want to hurt it

  • Suddenly we are all racing experts who are the best drivers in the world! Go and put more stickers in your car boys!

  • It's all ok for us! to say hes to slow, he needs to go fastet! but its not our McLaren F1......The driver not thinking about this youtube upload he's thinking "GOD PLEASE DONT LET ME CRASH".

  • okay, i know that nurburgring is really curvy and a good racecourse but this car is fucken amazing and it can go faster than this, stupid driver

  • good video, the only thing i am missing is a camera that i mounted to the car so it remains steady. But still, great ride :)

  • it is a generally terrifying course, and car give him some credit!

  • I know the course, and he should go a lot faster with this car ;-)

    Altough i wouldn't want 2 crash it 2 ;-)

  • @beemer325 I believe this was during a spell of engineering changes to the car by the owner. Hence the relative gentleness.

  • @KBird0403 That would explain it :-)

None the less, greatest car ever!

  • So has there ever been an official McLaren F1 time on the ring? Should be capable of a 7:30.

  • this is crazy fast, wow. I would love to see a race between the McLaren F1 and Koenigsegg, Mercedes GT1 and Ferrari Enzo. Just to put the throne in right place again!

  • M Power For Ever!!!

  • best car in the world. For ever.

  • indeed. I love it. And i love this V12.

  • @CojakDeDios Agree

  • GREAT CAR!!!

McLaren LMXP1, road car, driven by Mika Hakkinen lapped in 7:11.

For those who want a full list of Nordschleife lap times can search on google: supercars(dot)net + nurburgring + times, it's the first site found by google.

    Sorry for my bad english.

  • The Forza team has really nailed the experience imo.

  • This has been posted on different sites in the past, driver commented that the pace was comfortable rather than flat-out!

  • listen this noisesssssssssssssss...only real supercar all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @folerx It's not noise, it's music. :)

  • best car, best track. lol :)))

  • anyone actualy know how fast they can get a mclaren f1 around the track?

  • makes me wish I was George Harrison's son.

  • still the best car to date

  • this guy is taking his time driving

  • probably cuz its a million dollars car lolol :) i know u know that. it wasnt meant to start an argument:)

    good day

  • actually today taht car is worth over 4 million dollars

  • damn really wow

  • that engine is amazing

  • no official nurburgring time, top gear wont put it on their test track, they put a mclaren f1 on tsukuba but no other competing supercar veyron, koenig, ferrari ,porsche was there........

    This sux!!!!!!!!

  • 1975 German GP qualifying, Niki Lauda, Ferrari 312B3 - 6:58.6. But 1875 was the last time F1 raced there. And the track was much bumpier. A modern F1 car could theoretically do a 5:30 (see Heidfeld's publicity lap in a BMW F1 car - read the info), but in reality it would be very hard to push to 10/10ths in an F1 car without heavy modifications to the suspension. Otherwise it would break over Fugplatz and other crests/bumps.

    See Wikipedia

  • bm///w engine of course

  • Yep. S70.

  • Wow... Fantastic!

For sure the best sportscar ever ever made. We'll see when the new P11 will come out, even if the engine will be less powerful (580 Cv from the 6.2 AMG V8), but the gearbox will be a fantastic double clutch.

  • That sound is SOOOOOOOO BRUTAL! Can't wait for the successor of the F1 in 2011

  • This is not an official run. This was done on a public access day hence the traffic, there is also a speed limit going past the toll gate, also, the driver is just out for a leisurely spin, you can tell by the speed and engine note, he also has a passenger, the guy holding the camera.

On public days they also use a slightly shorter track, about 1kilometre shorter than the 20.8 kilometre official run!

Best estimates for standard F1 road car with flip up rear spoiler is about 6:55 on above run!

  • the mclaren f1 LM did 7:10 if im not wrong.

Thats shows how fast a mclaren f1 can be.

  • Care to give me a source for that Nurburgring time?

I have looked verywhere but can't find the official time for the F1. It is not listed on Wikipedia, or anywhere else.

Not being a jerk, I honestly just want a source. I am sure the F1 can do it in 7:10.

  • Faster!

  • it has no flywheel right?

  • chainsaw like.....that's where the sound comes from...(beautiful aswell)

  • 4:13 HELL YEAHH!!!

  • Still the best car in my book strap some slicks on it and watch =]

  • LOL the way the F1 passes that 308GT. It wasn't a stupid joke for the McLaren to do that. It doesn't get any better than that.

  • This and the Zonda are the best sounding road cars

  • Haha I knew every corner of the Nurb just from playing sim racing games. And why doesn't he record the long straight out the window near the end, he only records the speedometer? I wanna see how fast everything looks on the outside. still a nice video, my fav track ever.

  • Thats awesome!

  • so smooth.

  • that's why I love bmw!!!!

  • see you need to drive this car car not own it or be responsible for it, i would prolly have crashed but i would of pushed that car he was drivin like an old lady

  • i love this car

  • wow, the sound of this var..=)

  • Someone driving in a McLaren F1 isn't youtube worthy? Really? Youtube has video of cellphone cameras recording teenage girls dancing in a car during a long drive and laughing hysterically with horrible music in the background. I think this far exceeds the minimum youtube requirements with flying stars.

  • I'd be taking it easy too with a million dollar+ car at arguably the most dangerous track in the world. Especially on the high speed corners.......nothing to stop you but guardrail

  • When you drive a car around a track, or even on the street quickly, you are driving at a certain percentage of the car's potential.

F1 drivers drive at 99%-100% all of the time on the track.

When you're driving your GTI or Elise around the ring, you're driving at about 90% of the potential of the car so that you have that 10% to catch any errors you make.

When you drive a million dollar car around the ring, you're driving at about 80%. You don't take un-necessary risks in a car like that.

  • Hes driving a million dollars worth of incredible car... Im guessing he doesnt want to push it to the point of losing control

  • Th f1 was naturally aspirated, but what if it had a couple of turbos, what would the bhp/tonne and top speed figures be then?

Is there any design aspect that limits this car from being the fastest DRIVEABLE car ever? - i doubt it!

  • Does anybody know if the McLaren did a flying, timed lap around nurburgring? i.e. like dodge, bugatti, ferrari, etc

  • There are two 'ring lap times for the F1.

The road car's lap time was 7:45 and a GTR in the hands of Mika Hakkinen stopped the timer at 7:11.

  • That road car time seems slow. An Enzo did it at 7:25. Hell even a 4000lb GTR that has a 150 less hp did it in 7:29. The speculation though is that the Nissan ran with some "cheater" tires. I wonder what time Mika would have gotten in the road version with some modern tires.

  • Yeah, I think he could shave another 15 seconds off the 7:45.

I think it's mostly down to the pretty soft suspension on the standard F1, plus it's relatively poor brakes (by todays standards at least) aswell as the tyres.

There's another vid of a jap road test on some really twisty roads and there's some pretty serious body roll on the F1 (bottoming out's a problem too).

Still can't think of another car I'd rather own, though!

  • I have heard that a softer suspension setting is what you need for the ring!

  • yep...road is sooo bouncy its like normal road conditions. Set up too hard and you fly off when your suspension bottoms out!

  • The fastest time for a McLaren F1 was much faster than the Enzo, this isnt an official run

  • What was the F1's Nurburgring time? I have looked for an official time, and i keep coming up empty-handed.

I need a source, if you have one. The curiosity is killing me. I am sure it's faster than a Zonda F, at least.

  • Ill look for where I found it.. It was on one of the lists of times...

It was faster than the viper from memory. (if it was a correct time)

  • Thank you. I am sure it is faster than a Viper ACR, which is one of the fastest now, even faster than the new ZR1.

I am read somewhere it is 7:11...which sounds about right, but there is no documentation to go with it, so it is suspect, in my mind.

  • Yes you're right, that 7:11 time was set by Mika Hakkinen in an F1 GTR.

The road car time is 7:45 which sounds a little slow but bear in mind the road car has pretty soft suspension and relatively poor brakes (by modern standards at least!).

  • Awesome. But where is your source? I am not being an ass, I just want an official, verified time.

For the GTR...that sounds about right.

For the road car...I refuse to believe it is slower than a 2005 Z06 Vette. I'm sorry, but that seems a bit slow. I can understand a Radical SR8 beating an F1...but a Corvette? Come on now...

  • There isn't an officially verified time as such for either but I doubt these times were just pulled out of a hat either!

There's a lap time list on SPS Automotive.

7:45 may sound slow but if you watch other vids on here (McLaren road test) but chassis set up is everything on the 'ring and you can see just how soft the road F1 suspension is. There's some pretty alarming body movement and bottoming out!

I don't like the 'Vette either but it's certainly not a slow car around any circuit.

  • I bet the Ralph Lauren's race tuned F1 would run around much faster!!!

  • Not with Ralph at the wheel it wouldn't! lol

But yes, he's one the 5 owners of an F1 LM.

I'd imagine an LM with slicks would get around in something like 7:05 as it's even lighter than a GTR (no roll cage) and 80 BHP more powerful.

Lets see the "mighty" Veyron live with that, eh?!

  • Also, a 34 second difference between the road F1 and GTR version is far from unexpected when you take into account the GTR's massive weight loss, downforce increase, brakes, slick tyres, driver and the suspension being tuned to suit the 'ring.

Any M3 with much less power could do 7:45 if set up right which just goes to show how important chassis set up around there is.

Car makers are obsessed with 'ring times these days, way more so than in 1993 anyway! If the F1 was built now....

  • Murray has stated numerous times in interviews the F1 could not be made today. Weight, airbags, emissions BS would all compromise what it was in 1991. In short, Murray said the only thing he would change about the F1 if he "could" do it the same way today is he still is not satisfied with the gearbox...he wishes it was more "...liquid" like the one in the Honda NSX, Murray's admited "spiritual inspiration" for the F1.

Also, F1 weight: 1140kg, GTR weight: 1050kg. The GTR isn't much lighter.

  • I'm with you but to be honest there's probably not much about the F1 you could tell me that I don't already know, lol!

But even so, sticky tyres, suspension brakes and downforce make a LOT of difference.

Besides, 90 kgs may not sound much but you cetainly feel the effects of stripping that much weight off! Even 10 or 20 kgs ballast will make the difference between winning and losing a race as you see in Touring Car series all the time.

  • I can't argue with any of this.

But I would think a road-going F1 would pull very low 7 minute laps on the "Ring.

If I am not mistaken, the F1 has a fully-adjustable suspension...which can be made soft and compliant, but can also be made track-ready as well.

I think with a set of slicks and firmed-up suspension, an F1 should pull a 7:30 at the very, very worst.

  • not to mention its a road car with iffy control on the rear tires in high speed corners.

  • Hmm...you are right...In the beginning I took you for a fool but I'm proving to be the fool. Interestingly enough it's hard to find it's Nürburgring score. I know it's able to beat the Enzo but that means nothing for what you are seeking. I could swear for my life it's been on the Nürburgring.

  • What a shame. I also have the book "Driving Ambition: The Official Inside Story of the McLaren F1"...it lists all, and I mean ALL the specs and records set by the F1 and it's variants. No Nurburgring time is listed among them...a tragedy.

  • I'm sure your book does...really. It's just that the McLaren scores so highly in every respect. I just always assumed it had a record on the Nürburgring. The Enzo has one and it's a direct competitor. If you watch Top Gear and/or 5th Gear you would see the McLaren and see how well it is touted. It is a 1-2 million dollar car...but you are right. It seems to have no score on the Nürburgring. Amazing...I really wonder what it would be...

  • I got the book out again last night...no Nurburgring times. I checked, and check again. Nothing.

What a fucking shame. I am sure it is the very low 7-mins-6:30-ish area. I would just like confirmation.

I know it's no SR8 Radical, but it likely still crushes the Enzo quite handily, along with the Zonda F.

  • time... that guy was at half throttle the majority of the time.

  • I was refering to an OFFICIAL N'Ring time, recorded by a third party and put up against all the other official times.

It's been weeks, and I am still annoyed that it has apparently not been officially run there...hell, they went for every other production car record...why not hit the 'Ring as well?

  • I dont feel this car will ever truly be matched. Its a practical car while still being able to convert to a race car simply by giving it some gas. The design is perfect in my opinion, seating the driver in the middle and the way the car is balanced out. Its a true legend. May not be the fastest anymore, but its surely the best

  • That engine has to be the best sound in the world!

  • i feel companies can take a lesson from the mclaren f1. it is what it is, because it was designed by a a racing ENGINEER. not a design team who want bragging rights about straight line top end

  • Bugatti Veyron vs Mclaren F1 is like a buffalo with a rocket pack attached vs a horse! 1001 hp w16 4 turbo!Rocket vs 627 hp NA v12 muscles! Take away the rocket pack: How fast does bugatti run now?200mph?

  • not to mention how it perform on a track, rubbish. its a great car though just not a race car.....

  • and the mclaren f1 has an atmospheric engine... imagine that, a street legal car, 627 bhp aspirated, not supercharged nor turbocharged... hell of a car... i think its spirit will never be beaten, even though there are new superfast bolides...
