  • An excellent film. You don't really appreciate the things you have in your life, until they are striped away from you. Couldn't even imagine living for four years without any human contact

  • This is my favorite theme. Hands down

  • I have had 4 near death experiences. All but one were seizure related where i fell back on the pavement and hit my head. The last was cause of my Dilatin levels being too low and the doc tripled my dosage and another doctor prescribed an antibiotic. They two drugs nearly killing me putting my toxicity level at 70. All four times I should have died. But today I realize who kept me alive. God did. if i died then i wouldn't be here typing thos paragraph today. you dont realize how precious life is

  • type rainymoo....

aww someone have already said it.. have to think new :(

  • Ah, But we do we all have our own Island just different.

  • omg the ending is so sad

if i was him i wouldnt know hwat to do D:

  • 6 people stopped breathing...

  • Whenever i watch this movie, i almost cry every time. This movie proves, that nothing in life is nice, peaceful. We live every second and we have to appreciate every moment. Being stranded in an island is though. Nobody to talk but a bloody Wilson. You have to make friends of your own. You have to live, and wait for a special moment to get out. And if you get out, you change a lot. And you can never forget, what though times you have been through.

  • It always makes me feel sad when I see this movie. It shows that nothing in life must be taken for granted, every moment is sacred and nothing is trivial. Yet, no matter how much we could put our minds to it none of us could ever truly appreciate being alive to the fullest extent.

  • I recently watched this movie and I was so lost, didn't know what i was gonna do in life and that life was meaningless for me. I didn't want to keep going. When I saw the scene where he is talking to his friend and says how he wanted to give up but persevered. I felt like the movie was talking to me. so now i keep breathing, "because you never know what the tide could bring in."

  • My favourite movie, the movie of my life.

since I was little, I saw this movie, now remains my favorite movie and always will be. :')

  • "...I had to keep breathing..."

  • this reminds me of the girl i left back in my hometown i said i would come back to her but when i did she moved on and i turned into nothing more than a distant memory to her. we can never go back time goes on people change everything seems strange in the world

  • @Comrades91 People don't change just the circumstances.

  • @UndercoverCracker people DO change, how can they not change after that kind of experience? You saw when he came home how he turned on and off the light all the time?.....Something changes you forever, maybe you'll manage to pull yourself together but you'll never be the same and you'll never take life for granted.Like he was changed.

  • @girl4mac4 I guess...but we all don't get stranded on islands.

  • @Comrades91 I agree......

  • Anybody who would dislike this has a lack of emotion. Plain and simple.

  • Comment removed

  • @JessAlexanderD simple.

  • There are some songs and movies that haunt a person. This is one of those rare times you have both. Many people cant recognize the quiet genius of this movie. A movie that can cause so much emotion with almost no speech is magic to me.

  • some of the most beautiful music ever composed.

  • all we need is to be ready all d tym , prepare both physical, mentaly and emotion.coz f u dont and if this happen to you.u ddont know were to stand.

  • When I hear this, emotion runs through me to the point of tears.

Thinking of those I loved that are long gone now.

    Goodbye Mom and Dad.

    I did love you......

    Bobby......

  • Just 1 Great music Masterpiece

  • I lost my wilson=( ......

  • WILLLLLLLLLSOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNN! :(...this always makes me sad but this is one of my favorite movies. Some of the best movies were by Zemeckis and Spielberg in the late 80s to 90s.

  • This score is just damn gorgeous; the melody and orchestral arrangemnt and execution. Unbelievable!!!

  • a huge storm just rolled in as I turned on this song. the rain is sweeping sideways against my house. amazing.

  • WIIIIILLLSOOOOONNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IM SORRY!!!

  • monophonic sound?

  • Type in "Rainymood" in the Google search bar and click the first link. Then listen to this.

  • @PillsHere83 Listening to the both of them simultaneously evokes the awe of wonder that one feels as love experienced in a moment of grace. That was an awesome link.

  • @stymuli Glad you liked it.

  • @PillsHere83 THANK YOU. Now I can finally get some damn sleep!

  • @XxTheJimsterxX Welcome

  • @PillsHere83 wow i love you for showing me that XD

  • @PillsHere83 wow, that's really something :) thx and God bless

  • We were playing vollyball at school and I was yelling, "STOP HURTING WILLSON!"

  • not good to listen to when you're stoned. i almost started bawling.

  • @crystalshipgirl i so know what you mean ;(

  • @michaderstricha haha, and don't even try watching the actual movie when you're in that state. the airplane scene will tweak the shit out of you

  • @crystalshipgirl mwuhaha im wondering how i got here actually, u ?

  • @michaderstricha lol, i think i started off listening to the Pleasantville theme and from there decided to have a movie theme song serenade

  • this music is relaxing and peaceful!!!!!!!!

  • This is the only song in this movie..... I cry every time I hear this song.....

  • tell me what is wilson someone please !!! i just saw this movie but i missed the first hour !!! is wilson a ball or what??

  • I saw this film almost 6 years ago because my father recommended me to see it, since he's an avid Tom Hanks fan. Throughout the film I was so tightly engulfed in his situation that I felt I wanted to be there...on that island of solitude and isolation. I would close my eyes and imagine myself out there on the pacific, on an island of secret paradise. Some of my most sacred dreams are of being on some far away island....a long forgotten ocean of mystery...where the tides are the voices of earth.

  • Wilson should have gotten an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor

  • @JOSExRIOS805 dang, I just wrote this exact same comment just a few seconds ago before I read this. My hats off to you for coming up with this comment before me...

  • i had to play this at a funeral, never seen so much emotion

  • This sounds alot like the Homeward Bound Song at the end...they just tweaked it to make it sad -_-.

  • lost in a sea of sadness in tides of loneliness, to know that no other human can feel as I do, no other has my soul or my heart to understand and heal me. And yet to be castaway is no bad thing for then I may come to know who I really am in wisdom. Sorrow will come and past loves will haunt my mind and dreams. To bear all the pain in the world, it's sufferings will it cleanse me? Will it let happiness pervade over me like an angel? How can this muse of music make me more human? And yet it does.

  • When I saw Cast Away, it was the greatest movie i've ever seen. The movie was so emotional that I felted sadness and joy inside of me....all I can do is bring out manly tears into my eyes. This song........*sniff* it is very...very emotional ;( "WILSOOOOOON"

  • Это Шедевр!

  • Everytime I feel lonely, bad, when I think there is nothing much left here in this world I watch cast away...the power of love , you never know what life brings to the table. Sometimes its better to slow down ...and look arround. One of best movies out there, love it.

  • when you think about it...tom hanks is an incredible actor. He shows emotion like no other. in 3 of his best movies(forrest gump, saving private ryan, cast away) you sincerely and honestly feel sorry for his character. he makes it seem so real. Def. One of my fave actors.

  • epicness sent me

  • The reason Cast Away makes us so emotional is because of how much we pity Tom Hanks' character. It's sad when people die in other movies, but it doesn't affect us all that much. The whole time someone watches the movie they feel bad. Hanks is alone on the island. Wilson comes into the picture, and he at least has a companion. We watch him talking to it, and it's heartbreaking to see such a broken man. When he loses his only friend, watching him weep and apologize is pathetic. We feel for him.

  • @nygiantsfan6

Yeah, in a way you kind of feel it would be better for him to have died than live and have to go through all of that.

  • 5 people floated away with Wilson (!!!!)

  • You people commenting have no souls or hearts. My parents were lost in a plane crash, thier bodies never revovered in the Pacific. I have no idea if they lived or passed away. How can you so heartlessly make these cold, ignorant comments? Is that what our world has come to?

  • @Deputydog857 Sorry for your loss. Must be really rough. I can't start to think what it's like in your shoes. =(

    -Nick

  • ive just realised i have lived this film. i wept the strongest tears i have ever wept with this realization. thank god

  • i wish to had Wilson.... ;)

  • Beautiful.

  • for some reason this reminds me of the mighty ducks theme.

  • @P3nismongrel The concept of the free will is often mistaken. You have chosen not to believe in God - because He has given you the free will to choose that. He could have created us to where we were a bunch of God-loving robots that automatically believed, but He didn't because He wanted us to have the choice of wether or not to love Him and come to Him. If you actually look deeply into science, logic, and archeology, they all point to God. I am a logician and an academic, and I believe.

  • @efltheatrical ..bravo, my friend, and amen...

  • Wilson, I'm sorry!

  • song just peacfull..it kinda make me believe there magic out there in the world..haha:)

  • 5 people got sent away from the cast of this movie.......Idfk, im just trying to be the shit and get likes damnit

  • im not gonna lie but when he was trying to get wilson back and couldnt then this song came on i teared up i love this song

  • @SuperKnight1994 i was laughing

  • Just ignore dislikes and stop writing comments about how much people dont do that and so.. The main point is that u like it and that's all that is important!

  • reminds me of the taking the tooth out with the ice skate scene lol

  • I'm so sad that i don't have Kally

  • beautiful movie !

  • You can't talk loudly during this song, has to be quiet.

  • Is it a coincidence that i accidentally found this in a random playlist right after watching this amazing movie?

  • @ZeroneDY yes it is, so dont get ur hopes up that god is real....jking ;)

  • @P3nismongrel I don't believe there exists a god anyway :P

  • @ZeroneDY i completely agree, for anyone to think there is a higher power controlling everyones fate is fucked up, we decide our own fate everyday we get out of bed down from the smallest thing to something major in our life e.g should i have that 2nd cup of coffee or not, or should i take that job or not

  • @P3nismongrel It's called free will, and it's a gift. I'm not going to get on your shit if you don't believe in a higher power, that's your decision and I respect it. But don't go trashing people who want to have faith in something. It's kind of important to us, just like other things are important to you.

  • @mistoxshadow if we have free will, then y do people believe in a god that controls all life? the only thing you should have faith in is yourself, and the only reason its important to you is because you were told when u were a child that god is everywhere, watching you all the time, and no one gives you your free will, you make it

  • 179,797th view! Nothing for anyone to celebrate about but I will because I adore this film and score!:)

  • @anooshapalooza congratz

  • Beautiful. Brings a tear to my eye :,)

  • haha you guys with burdge bug are awesome xD

  • AC/DC Highway To Hell is my Funeral song lol

  • @Krathor18 Angels singing stairway to heaven is my song. Lol.

  • WILSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!

    :O

  • Burdge-bug sent me here too.

  • Bourge-Bug sent me.

  • @cameracritic wilson sent me lol

  • Wilson was totally my favorite character.

  • Without, Wilson there would be no sense in this movie, because the greatest part is!

    SURVIVE!

People make illusions if they want to survive..

If u let it, you are dead.

    Hanks didnt in his movie.

    R.I.P Wilson :(

  • First time I've heard this song...I'm crying.

  • wilson made this movie

  • @chrissywissy321 I agree and I was actually kinda stunned that the volleyball who played wilson wasn't nominated for best supporting actor.

  • @richardthewriter supporting actor? surely hanks was supporting actor :D, but seriously ive never felt so attached to something that isnt alive before, wilson <3

  • @chrissywissy321 wow. it seriously pisses me off when people take me seriously. I was joking and if you had thought about it you would have figured out that indeed it was a JOKE!!.

  • @richardthewriter yes for the record i did indeed realise you were joking and perhaps if you had a shred of intelligence and maybe thought about it yourself you would realise i replied back with a joke, but nevermind hey nevermind....

  • @chrissywissy321 oh uh um uh.....hahahaha. (staged laughter) LOL

  • Four people died on that island...

  • @JamesTaylorYO He knows the guy worked for Fedex. He's saying the 3 people who disliked this song work for UPS moron., it's a joke.

  • good flic and a very sad one as well. Life ...............you never know what it might dish out to you. Tom went back to nothing, no home, no wife, no family, we should appricite right now what little we have

  • It has actually been 10 years since this movie came out to theaters. I wish I knew what Chuck Noland did when he was through staring down the road. You are left feeling sorry for him because the woman he loved moved on without him and he was having to find someone else.

  • @JLC31383 For me, I try to feel happy for him. He might not be able to live the life he left behind, but he is able to start a completly new one

  • @EnJoIZeLiFe You said exactly what the end indicated- but one still would be curious to know if he decided to go down the road he was left looking at.

  • I stayed alive. I kept breathing. And one day my logic was proven all wrong because the tide came in, and gave me a sail. And now, here I am. I'm back. In Memphis, talking to you. I have ice in my glass... And I've lost her all over again. I'm so sad that I don't have Kelly. But I'm so grateful that she was with me on that island. And I know what I have to do now. I gotta keep breathing. Because tomorrow the sun will rise. Who knows what the tide could bring?

  • A modern Mozart Do you suppose that was what Mozart was doing, writing music to movies he was seeingg in his head

  • A modern Mozart

  • 4 people have no heart.

  • How did you make this video

  • The Sun sets,

    The Sun rises

and you go on and on until you can't go on any more.

    Bobby.....

    Still on patrol.

  • WILSON...!!!

I would also have a Wilson friend...

  • merci Alan silvestri

  • Just the kind of music I was looking for right now. Thanks for uploading

  • 4 people have stopped breathing...

  • I like how Wilson is one of the tags.

  • wwwwahhhhh wwwahhhhhh wwahhhhhhhhhhhh wahhhhhhhhhh tear tears joy joy i miss my grandpa he died 1 month ago.

  • @lapree1000 sorry for ur lost my friend

  • @lapree1000 Sorry to hear that...

  • amazing

  • damn it wilson greatest and sadest part of any movie ive ever seen

  • oh ive got to say it is the most sadest movie and best movie ive ever seen literally

  • i own this movie and every time i watch it theres a always a tear that will slip its a beautiful song and very emotional this movie is what love is about he lived because she was in his heart.

  • "I'm so sad that I've lost Kelly... But I'm so grateful that she was with me on that island." ..."And I know what I have to do now... Got to keep breathing... Because tomarrow the sun will rise. Who knows what the tide could bring?"

  • I thought it was fed ex?

  • This is my sad/dramatic effect music.

  • I, too, remember being in the theatre and just sitting afterwards. Not one person got up to leave- the entire theatre was brought to tears. I cried from the moment Wilson was washed away to the end. It still brings me to tears when I watch it....

  • Thumbs up for Wilson! (The clearly best character in this movie.)

  • whenever i'm sad, i play this soundtrack...just to add some dramatic effect to my mood.

  • It is my professional opinion that Wilson should have been nominated for an Academy Award. Poor guy. Too bad he wouldn't have been around to enjoy it........

    R.I.P

  • The ending was unsatisfying... only saying I expected a happy one.

  • @JackAttack211221 well, we have to admit the world is cruel most of the time.

  • @ethusiasm You have a point. But it's Hollywood. If there's going to be an ending, they'll usually change up what the world is and make it a happy one.

  • @JackAttack211221 yeah, your right, lol. i hate happy endings though.

  • @ethusiasm Agreed.

  • @JackAttack211221 I personally found the ending to be quite optimistic. Yeah, he didn't get to go back to the one he loved, but the scene where he's standing at the crossroads with nothing but freedom and possibilities to start a whole new life for himself... the smile on his face as he stared in the direction that woman drove away in, the very same wings that gave him hope on the island painted on her truck... I felt nothing but peace and joy in that moment.

  • heartbreaking...:'( Amazing movie, awesome soundtrack. Wiiiiiilsooooooooon!

  • Tom show us that we can do amazing things if we really want.

  • one man who done it even every one knon he well make it was The best movie

  • what is the name of this song???

  • @ravigehlot Tom Hanks didnt direct the movie

  • Beautifully emotionally moving piece of brilliance, both film and music! Utter despair and hopeless situation to be found in. Years to be left to ones own thoughts in some unlikely event of being rescued. In the end it came down to ones own determination and self-reliance to be rekindled with his lost love.

  • this was a very good move!

  • WIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLSSSSSONNNNNNNNNNN!!!! where are you? Almost flounder too in 2007, fortunately not, thanks my God.....

  • @iespa2009 I think you mean that three people weren't men enough to survive on a small island.

  • @iespa2009 now it's four people who work for UPS.

  • @iespa2009 ENOUGH WITH THESE DAMN COMMENTS.

  • @adamcj2010 Amen. I keep telling idiots like that that 3 people have OPINION but everyone INSTANTLY uses dislike comments as a way to get thumbs up. You sir, have EARNED it.

  • the most beautiful soundtrack that i know...

i mean ... every emotion in this movie is in the soundtrack ...

    Amazing !

  • this is the only movie that could almost make me cry for a volleyball.

  • My three year old sister died monday.... she had cerebal palsy. She had a seizure in the middle of the night which lead to a massive stroke whih caused brain swelling that put her in coma....she then died. I used to love this song....I can no longer listen to it......rest in peace Libby.... :(

  • @TheGiantTick My condolescence for you and your family. She is in a better place now, looking from the skies, resting in the vast universe that will receive us a day. My uncle died last year of stomach cancer, 51, when he just had bought his first apartment. He hadn't the chance to see his first gift he would give for them. We have a lesson: We are passengers of this world. The world is a big train that will take us to somewhere we don't know.
