  • "I Thank God that the kingdom of God is not divided into areas for big, important people and areas for little, unimportant people. Every one is just as needful in God's sight as any other!" A.W. Tozer

  • Do you folks that think this isn't a bad thing know Jesus wouldn't even come to this event? So, me being a JesusFreak, have sold out to Christ, in serving I make less that 1200 a month, this would be half a months pay for me, there should always be scholarships to help those that can't afford, so this is elites. Christ clearly said, "on that day, the day we die, MANY will come saying I preached in your name, I cast out daemons and healed in your name, I will say to them, I never knew you."

  • No refunds? You clearly don't understand the concept of transferring one's registration to another as they stated on their website. It saves time and money for all involved.

  • @andrewmotisi8 ... actually, what the bible warns us about is those preaching a different gospel. Furtick doesn't preach a different gospel, just a different style. And since when is "seeker friendly" a bad thing? As opposed to what, a seeker unfriendly church?! 1 Cor 9:22, Phil 1:18.... I could go on and on, but you get my point. If not, read the references I've provided. How many lifes have you impacted for Christ? Hopefully many, probably few.

  • oh and he doesn't seek glory from men either or someone like you to approve of him... just watch even one of his many videos on youtube... ALL about GOD... if you don't agree with him or his style or his ministry then stay the crap off his videos and let the rest of us steven furtick fans enjoy his stuff and spend our $700 as we please...

  • Sounds like seeker friendly language. Fact of the matter is churches like this are promoting false doctirines that are dangerous to the longevity of Christainity. These are classic apostate churches that the bible warns us againist. Christ's love for the most part is NOT intended to be earthly but a warning that salavation is our only hope to be saved in the afterlife, which requires a tremoundous amount of sufferage on our part, not helping urself, as these gurus lie about.

  • you are a genuine retard for making this video. sure $700 is expensive but you have no idea who this guy really is or how powerful his relationship with the holy spirit is.... and how many people God has USED him and worked THROUGH him to save... do not judge lest ye be judged.... read your bible. he is one of the greatest church leaders in today's world, and you just tried to bash him haha your an idiot...i agree with @caitlinbaity... it has only brought disappointment to see someone make this.

  • you must be a really bitter person to take the time to make this video.

  • this video was done in a very un constructive way, but its essential message needs to be taken seriously. this man is most likely saved and going to heaven, but his methods of reaching out and "growing the church" do seem very shady

  • Disgraceful. If you have criticism take it to Jesus in prayer, then take it to the offender, then take it to the elders who can advise you on how to respond decently for Christ's sake. This public accusation is outrageous on a planetary scale, detached from the nature of Jesus. Personally I'm going to visit Pastor Furtick with Jesus objectives in heart and mind and action.

  • Probably one of the worst 'pastors' (if you even want to call him that) there is out there today. And I thought Mark Driscoll was bad.

  • @GlorybyMurder Ah, I've been rebuked for casting pearls before swine. Some habits are hard to break...

  • @GlorybyMurder If you would simply READ your bible you would see all the biblical grounds for why this guy is a complete charlatan. Whatever "spirit of Christ" you profess and by which you "feel" your way through this life is foreign to those of us who have believed in the Christ of scripture. No conviction here, and obviously none from such a one who would defend this masquerading wolf. What will be your response when Jesus says to you "Depart from me...I never knew you"??

  • Phillipians 1:18

  • @GlorybyMurder Did you talk to these thousands of people and discover whether or not their faith is real? Surely you've done this and not simply heard someone say "thousands have been baptized" Please tell us you have proof that even 10% of these people are saved. If not, shut it pawn boy...

  • thats pretty upsetting that somebody would charge so much money for a one day conference. There are children dieing and starving in Africa, yet Steve and this church need hundreds of thousands of dollars. Think about the children!

  • Why charge so much? Didn't Jesus command "Freely you received, freely give?"

  • Obvious whoever posted this has never actually been to Elevation church, and doesn't know much about the church or Steven Furtick.

  • @ddjonesish You mean it's actually worse??? No surprise there...

  • Some people are amazing, but the god thing is... at least God loves you.

  • God loves you even though you talk junk about the people who do his work for good. I'm praying for you now. Really!

  • @cortney92884 So you can see in Steve's heart and know that he does it for good? Really? You are quite and amazing person. Can you look into my future and tell me if I'll be rich soon? Are you and Steve partnering in charlatan endeavors? Is it a club thing or can I get in on the profits?

  • Steven Furtick is amazing.. every church has flaws, don't pretend like yours don't.

  • @NFTFOfficial You are correct. Steven Furtick is AMAZING... amazingly REPROBATE...

  • You just have to stay at home and stop shouting men.

Thats it. Just move on my friend if you have too much time to loose on this kind of video...

  • shouldnt pay to talk to a head of a church about God

  • holy shit christians are retards!

  • @DevastructioN We are not all like this. Many of us speak out against his nonsense.

  • I first saw pastor Furtick on TV last winter. He's a very capable speaker...and having watched several of his sermons, I found no fault in them. I understand that Elevation Church was a 'seed' church of the NC Baptists, but I note that their list of projects they support doesn't even mention the Baptist Cooperative Program. I haven't found Furtick to be a 'prosperity' preacher...unlike Cerullo and his "sow your seed by sending us your money" (stealing in the name of the Lord) blasphemy.

  • CULT!

  • This is a disgrace. Nobody agrees with you, at all. Pastor Furtick is serving God and doing what God has called him to do. He is changing lives because of what God is doing through him and Elevation Church. Its not a competition at all. He is a man of God, something you OBVIOUSLY are not. I'm disgusted by you, whoever you are. Find something else to do with your time, maybe pray to God for forgiveness first. It's a good thing your video doesn't have an affect on any of us except disappointment!

  • @caitlinbaity you claim the 'pastor' is a 'man of God', and that the video maker is 'obviously not'? How exactly did you arrive at that conclusion? Because this video dared to be critical of this pastor's fees and approach?

Did you ever read about Paul working as a tent maker, so that he wouldn't be perceived as profiting from the preaching the gospel and fleecing the flock? That was PAUL, yet some 'relevant' 'hip' pastor is a 'man of God' because his church got bigger?!

  • @caitlinbaity Hey, let's face it: $500 (or $700) for a conference is a money-grab, not an effort to spread the Gospel! I remember Jim & Tammy...they started out as "Praise The Lord" (PTL) and the focus was on God. That became "People That Love" and the focus was on man. Eventually, it became "The Jim & Tammy Show" and the focus was on them. It's important to attract the previously unreached (especially the young) for God...but it's even more important to make sure the message is GOD'S!

  • @caitlinbaity I agree with him.

  • So... He charged money for an event and you made a rage video?

  • tellin it like it is, good for you! These hirelings need exposure, and the flocks need to be warned to stay clear of them or GET FLEECED!!

  • Why is it all about changing the world for Jesus, and not ultimately about Jesus Himself?

Furthermore, how can one make an impact for the Lord in this world if they ignore some of what He has said?

  • I'm just honestly disgusted by the comments left here. @buzzbbird I'm so glad that you just blatantly condemned and judged a man's eternal destination based on a video he made that is ALL ABOUT TRYING TO CHANGE THE WORLD for Christ. Ever hear his sermons? (Coming from a Bible Major), All Cross centered, Gospel focused and usually exegetically (look it up) developed. He even did a series on SIN ("Scarecrow in a Mellon Patch"... on Podcast). Or is he condmened for using Podcasts too? :-(

  • @preachingfreedom when was the last time you actually heard Furtick defend Olsteen? Cause I have listened to PLENTY of messages from Pastor Steven and I've always heard him (though maybe not by name), argue against straight "prosperity Gospel" arguing that it neglects the call of God for us to give out and away what the Lord has given to us in the first place. This man actually teaches on sin ("Scarecrow in a Mellow Patch" Series) and the need for repentence and salvation. No Olsteen there...

  • @tff3456 i'm not arguing your point but i did see a picture of him with pastor osteen and he said something like pastor osteen was his hero, very approving of him. this ain't aimed at u but at the end of the day, all of us are supposed to hold up any man's words (apart from christ of course) against the bible. Osteen, Furtick, Billy Graham, Spurgeon, Martin Luther it does not matter. The bible is the bottomline, not what any man says. Ultimately The holy spirit is our teacher not man.

  • Watch Ministers of satan, by excatholics and google the 'Let us reason together' website.

  • You idiot. Get a hobby

  • Accusing hatred? Sounds like you don't question anything? It's all just a perfect little church ain't it? Everyone is happy and oh wow, people are coming forward to be saved and everything is just great.....read Acts 17:11.....people have tested those things this man has spoken and found it wanting. It is a watered down, lovey-dovey, no conviction false gospel that is being preached. And it will preach many gullible people straight into hell and the Lake of Fire.

  • @evAngeliis Wow. I will pray for you.

  • @caitlinbaity What for? I already have found salvation. Take your pity somewhere else.

  • Im sure having having the families of the carolina panthers and other major sports teams at your church help with tithing. 10% of a million dollars =100,000

  • @triadcontractor1 It's not like we grabbed them by the shirt and said You're coming to Elevation. God led them to Elevation Church.

  • @caitlinbaity No... the Free T-shirts/bumper stickers every newbie gets for going to the church is what led them there. The T-shirts/stickers don't say anything about God... they say ELEVATION CHURCH. It's about the church... not about God. What church says "We are about Worship, not Ministry?"

  • He is my pastor and I hope he make a lot of money. he deserves it. he works his tail off. he is excellent at what he does. shouldn't he be rewarded for it just as the public sector expects to be? I challenge y'all to attend Elevation for one month and see if you feel the same. Haters.

  • wow. just wow. I can't believe someone could be so ugly as to spend time on such a hateful piece of media. wow.

  • @rebeccanordyke No man is incontrovertible, most especially a man of God. Pastors need to gut checked to keep them in line and to expose any possibly harmful theology. I think that Furtick and other Gospel of Greed men do more harm to the Gospel than good.

  • Jim Bakker Jr. Where's Tammy?

  • I wouldn't give a squirt of piss for anything this fundamentalist douche bag has to say.

  • Ok so you need to get a life..you have never actually been to newspring and listened to the gospel be preached. Maybe you should ask yourself what that money goes to... I personally know it goes to feeding the hungry, winning souls to christ, and creating an enjoyable environment... Grow up please

  • @AnthonyAdamsChevy I have been to newspring and it seems as though it is a business from the time you walk in. I mean how many churches do you know who have a retail style counter serving coffee, food, etc. is that a church to you? Perry is a great speaker but he talk furtick all about money and how to make the money. Jesus would gather people outside not in a million dollar building serving coffee and running credit checks.

  • @AnthonyAdamsChevy I have been to newspring and it seems as though it is a business from the time you walk in. Perry is a great speaker but he talk furtick all about money and how to make the money. Jesus would gather people outside not in a million dollar building serving coffee and running credit checks.

  • have you ever heard him preach he's amazing i would pay all the money I had for that

  • The Churches budget is public record... I guess you didn't take the time to see how much money the church has donated in just the past year alone. I bet most people here don't even tithe 2.3 percent to the local church. We should really stop picking the speck and deal with our own planks. This is THE CHURCH. There is only one so stop dividing it

  • @iamonagain Their budget IS NOT public record, and no matter how many times you and others say that it is, it still IS NOT. They have some general pie charts on something they call financial statements, and they state "for more information, just contact the church." I have done so 3 times, and still nothing. They do not, and will not disclose the salary of the pastor, and as long as this is the case, there will ALWAYS be questions.

  • @ffhd1clt Usually when churches withhold salary information, it's that they overpay their ministers and they know it.

  • @Divinecovenant0012 True, but can you name another church in Charlotte where the church "withholds salary information?" The other thing is when you say "they" overpay, you're talking about the church and its board. In this case, it's the pastor that overpays himself (although we don't know that he's overpaid, since his salary isn't disclosed). The "board" in this case is 5 pastors picked by Furtick, and their identities aren't disclosed either LOL.

  • @ffhd1clt I'm not from Charlotte and have never lived there. But in all other churches I've attended, the pastor's salary is public knowledge.

  • @Divinecovenant0012 Same in Charlotte, which is a city full of churches. People that go there try to claim others make "a big deal out of it," but I think it's the pastor that has made the deal out of it by not disclosing it, since all other pastors do so. I don't go there, but I don't criticize those who do. I just will never understand how they can defend the practice. They claim he tithes 40% of his salary, but how can they know if they don't know the salary?

  • this church is the most legit I have ever seen! It is undeniable the work and anointing that is on this church! If you think you are better and more righteous... then go lead 22,000 people to Jesus Christ in 5 years!

    Didn't think so

  • My opinion? When did pastor stop taking after their ministry model? Does this look anything like something Jesus would do?

  • @NikkiLynnLoves I agree the mega churches are becoming unbiblical, watered down prosperity theology. I am in seminary too and it's really scary to see the people buy into them and buying their books and going to all their conferences. They build their 'multi-site' campuses, want you to thithe (not to mention the pastor has body guards bizarre isn't it?)

  • This guy is a hireling and a half.. but then again so is the whole 501-c-3 corporate church. this guy is just their spokesmen.. anyone who thinks ( as this guy does) that the unsaved apostate Joel Osteen is a great man of God, has no clue.

  • This church is a great way to make money if you can work with them. Someone I know is getting $100 to $300K a year from them for services. of course he has to use some of them as advisors. They sell lots of things. Music, videos, seminars, etc. Great, great, way to make money.

  • He left his job, risked his financial wellbeing, and uprroted his family to start elevation church. What have you done for Jesus, lately?

  • @Koonethboy Ya - Everyone is sure he did all that for Jesus...

  • It's funny how @Dremias5545 didn't include a like/dislike button. Hmmm I wonder why? Judging by the comments below I think that it is clear. Nice to see that you are being a good steward of the time that God has given you. I'm sure Jesus has a pat on the back waiting for you when you get to heaven for making this amazing video! You really furthered the kingdom on this one.

  • Steven Furtick is an amazing man of God! Have you ever read his book or listened to his sermons? He is filled with the Holy Spirit and NOT a disgrace to God!

  • @GenerationJehovah I would, but I can't afford his book.

  • Steven Furtick is the real deal. He started a church from nothing. Read Sun Stand Still and tell me you can't find any respect for his ministry.

  • Watch his video "Hey Haters". What a Rob Bell wannabe! This guy is going to HELL!

  • @kcphs have you never went to a conference, ever?

  • @ninjachoptoninjakick Have you ever "gone" to a conference? They also have conferences for grammar, and they cost much less than this one.

  • steven furtick equipped his church with over $40,000 dollars one time, the church...the people who follow christ that experience corporate worship and teaching at elevation...gave them $40,000 to go and bless others...

but I'm sure this is what Jesus would do...knock a powerful exponential movement of God...yup. Glad this is what you're doing rather than reaching those who are far from God...by the way it seems as if you have some logs in your eye brother

  • @ninjachoptoninjakick that being said, I don't believe that Jesus ever made anyone pay to hear him speak, either. Just sayin'.

  • @ninjachoptoninjakick How do you know $40k is a sacrifice if the total finances aren't disclosed? Everything is relative, and $40k is a drop in the bucket if you're taking in tens of millions. They were smart though, because people like you say "look, he gave $40k." HOW MUCH DOES HE TAKE?????

  • @ffhd1clt he openly tithes over 40% of his income before taxes. So it doen't really matter how much he is making. The more he is making, the more he is giving back to God.

  • @FabrickProductions Do you realize how stupid that sounds? How do you know he tithes "over 40% of his income" if you don't know what his income is? Look, if this is where you want to worship, that's your decision. You shouldn't have to get defensive about it. I can tell you though, that this will always be an issue. If he has nothing to hide, he should disclose his income. I just think if it were reasonable he wouldn't hide it. All the best to you.

  • @ffhd1clt He openly states how much he tithes in the podcasts. Of course Matthew 6:1-4 states: “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. When you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

  • @FabrickProductions OH WOW! he openly tithes 40 % that's amazing! Maybe he should boast a little more! Reminds me of this parable Jesus taught! Luke 18: 9-14. Read it!

  • @flaisbeast He doesn't boast. Those numbers come out of his church money advisors. I'm not a member of this church and I'm really not standing to defend him. I agree with @ffhd1clt that he should disclose how much he makes in the church. That is just standard procedure when it comes to any church or non-profit. All I am saying is that no matter how well you do in life or in ministry there will always be people bashing you out of arrogance or jealousy or ignorance. Look at what he has done!

  • Goober!!! He's mild retard

  • Wow. What a waste of time though. I think all this video does is throw hate. It isn't really effective as a warning to weak Christians and the time wasted to make it could have been far better invested in showing love to someone or bettering your own ministry. When the disciples came back to Jesus and said that someone was healing in his name but he wasn't part of their group and they rebuked him, Jesus rebuked the disciples and told them not to stop the man because Jesus's name was being preac

  • where can I sign up? Do I get a secret decoder ring?

  • Wow pimpin the church for big dollars, nice.

Here's some free advice, read the New Testament and you can see how God builds His Church.

  • "one of the nations top church leader" Really? How boastful and untrue.

  • Pastor Steven preached 2 sermons at my church and I loved him! My 11 year old even loved him, instead of being ugly u should think of better ways to spend ur time.

  • and Elevation is a cult of crazy people. There is no God.

  • @xEnvyItx I believe there is a God, but Elevation "church" is not the place to meet him. The only thing being elevated is this "pastor's" bank account.

  • @ffhd1clt no one is making you pay when you walk in the door there...you can tithe at your own church if you like..to make a statement like that just seems ignorant to me...last time i checked there weren't bullies at the door of elevation taking your lunch money..when i was a teenager and before i learned what church was really about people like you were the reason i quit going...never lost faith, just couldn't deal w/ it...now i just ignore the folks at my church that act this way..very sad :(

  • Steven is a douche bag 5 words sum it up

  • You do know that you do not need a man to teach you, right? If you're a child of God, the Holy Spirit will teach you everything you need to know. Hey, another thing. READ THE BIBLE! Don't rely on another man's teaching which for the most part, if at all, is inspired by God. We know, however, that the Bible is. Plant your face in that Book and stop listening to men who do not know God.

  • @sayruhd22 Wow...uh...I'm pretty sure Acts 2:42 would completely disagree with your theological position...1 Corinthians 14 thinks it's pretty important to have a pastor teach clearly...Matt 16:18 has Jesus teaching Peter that what he does on Earth as an apostle is pretty important...Matt 28:16-20...so Jesus thought it was pretty important for men to teach the gospel...here's a suggestion: why don't you plant your face back in "that book", and spend less time bashing preachers on youtube.

  • @wanastunt I'm not saying that you can't have teachers but the Holy Spirit is what teaches you and if a man is teaching you something contradictory, then yeah, you don't need to listen to him. I didn't say anything about preachers, I just said don't follow men. Don't assume I'm preacher bashing. I do, however, have a problem with somethings I've heard Furtick say but God has to open the eyes of those who are blinded. I can only just suggest.

  • @wanastunt I had forgotten where this verse was but I wanted to share this with you. 1 John 2:27 says "As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him." Now that verse is not me saying to do away with teachers but it's clear and simple what the Bible says about it.

  • Steven Furtick is a heretic, and also a douche bag

  • @swingman24, I never meant that it was Furtick's doings in those people getting saved. Only the Holy Spirit can lead someone to accept Christ. However, Furtick must have done something right as far as being led by God in order for those people to be saved. How many of those people were actually saved? I have no idea. But I know that a good number of people got saved and heaven rejoices when one sinner repents. I apologize for the mix-up. God Bless!

  • Also, it seems like Pastor Steven gets more full of some all the time. It's weird I looooove his sermons but it somehow always ties back into how great he himself is personally. I also didn't like the video a few weeks ago that was like a video to his greatness "celebrating" Elevation's anniversary.

  • @Kelsey28112 Really cause I've listened to nearly every Elevation sermon and he always talks about how great God is. And that all he did was do what he was asked. (Not trying to start anything I'm just really having trouble understanding your position and I would like to)

  • Also, it seems like Pastor Steven gets more full of some all the time. It's weird I looooove his sermons but it somehow always ties back into how great he himself is personally. I also didn't like the video a few weeks ago that was like a video to his greatness "celebrating" Elevation's anniversary.

  • Saw Pastor Steven driving a Lamborghini last week that I'm guessing is his. Pretty sad made me think differently of him.

  • @Kelsey28112 Wow. Pastor drives a Nissan and they have a minivan. And if he had a fancy car what is wrong with that? YOU can have nice things but he can't? I don't understand that logic. And also, if you want to know how much he earns a year, Elevation Church goes through an annual audit and you can view their finance report, it is given freely to all church attenders and you can also learn more by calling Elevation Church. I'm sure you can find the number on the website.

  • @2014Camel I have contacted the church twice, asking for the information they say they will give, and so far...nothing. As for how much he earns per year, the "church" expressly states they do not give out that information. Just keep blindly following this cult leader though, and don't ask ANY questions, and you will be welcomed to stay.

  • @ffhd1clt I have contacted them 3 times, and even made sure they knew I wasn't with the press or anything. I simply took them up on their offer that says to contact them and they will provide detailed information regarding their finances. I sent 3 really nice emails, and after the 3rd, I received a response stating the person who sends out the info was out and would be sending it when he/she returned. That was 2-3 months ago. I've never heard of a pastor not disclosing his income.

  • @2014Camel I've contacted them 3 times, and they responded the 3rd time saying someone will get back to me, and that was 2-3 months ago. Even if they do respond, they do not disclose his salary. I have attended church all my life, but I've never heard of a church that does not disclose the pastor's salary. If it's a big church, it should be high, but the congregation pays it, so disclose it.

  • How stupid is this post? John MacArthur charges much more for his conferences so using the same illogical twist of scripture all said here can be said about John MacArthur and other "acceptable" teachers... Why misuse the Bible and Jesus to hate instead of edify? One thing for sure, the attacks on the people you do seem to draw people to become more like Jesus as they listen to those you attack! LOL!

  • @iggy14u No, sir, MacArthur does not charge that much. The cost of the Shepherds Conference is less then half of Elevation Church. $300. And even if the cost was the same, at least with MacArthur you know that you will get sound biblical teaching.

  • someone has deaf ears.

    praying for you

  • @Dramias5545 This video is a joke. His prices were high. That's fine. A video such as this wasn't the answer. Pastor Steven Furtick is an awesome man of God, and I would've gladly paid any price to hear his secrets about his church's success.

"Be a raving fan publicly and an honest critic privately." -Andy Stanley

  • @KidDrummer94 So that's what you would like from your pastor; secrets to church success? What about his responsibility to teach the Word of God? For an "awesome man of God", he is sadly lacking in that area of his leadership.

  • @swingman24 you want the word of God? Go to church every sunday.

  • @KidDrummer94 How about you read the Word of God if you want the Word of God? The Church isn't what saves. When the "church" is being led by a false prophet, you aren't growing more in the likeness of Christ; you are growing more in the likeness of that false prophet.

  • Sorry, "'has' a passion for lost people" I love me some Furtick!

  • I went to his first conference and it was great. Pastor Furtick is a man who loves God and could be making a lot of money in the business would. He had a passion for lost people and the proof is in the pudding. 11,000 salvations in 5 years speaks for itself. Hey haters, don't hate, appreciate!

  • I go to his church. Well i can say he is the preacher of my church. I <3 him. Definatly a huge impact on my life. Brought me closer to God big time:)

  • Just in case you haven't noticed, over 11,000 people have been saved in his ministry...quit tearing down the kingdom and build it up instead.

  • @BozemanBuckJC82 How do you know they have been "saved"? And if they indeed have been, are attributed that to the ability, strength, love, or holiness of Steven Furtick? Let's say 11,000 people have been saved at that church. What if God saved them despite Furtick and his terrible handling of God's Word and people and not through him? Just a thought.

  • @BozemanBuckJC82 Amen!

  • This video is about as anti-Biblical as anything I have seen on Youtube in the name of Christianity. Steven Furtick is a Godly man who has connected with a generation of young people that the modern church has largely ignored and is obviously losing. Leave him alone and go do something productive

  • @Truth4Uth1 No, it's actually pretty biblical. He has connected with a generation? Maybe that's the problem. Christians and the Church of Jesus Christ do not need to be "culturally relevant". There is no need to bring the Bible into modern times. Just preach the truth of God's Word and let the Holy Spirit of God do the work that humans, who are dead in their trespasses and sins, cannot do.

  • @swingman24

Contextualizing, is not necessarily compromise unless he is putting aside truth for the sake of people liking him. Which I've never seen him do, and I watch for that very closely.

  • @swingman24 . I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings. (Yeah I know its out of context, but its still pretty in context, and I'm making a point) Also Jesus spoke to people using the areas of life they knew, if he were here (in body) today do you think he'd say "The kingdom of Heaven is like that of a mustard seed"? no he'd say "The kingdom of heaven is like... Its taking the truth of the word of God and WITHOUT STRIPPING IT OF ITS TRUTH AND WORTH AS SUCH (all caps are for emphasis and in no way represent an increase in volume) and presenting in a way the can be easily understood (Not well received, understood) Although I'm 21 and my preaching and teaching experience is probably more limited then some so what would I know :)

  • if you spent the time you took making this video witnessing for Christ maybe your "ministry" would be building and uplifting the body of Christ not condemning it. Go to a church service there, experience God's tangible presence, then repent, come back home and delete this entire channel that promotes division rather than unity. you will be judged by God for every ear you turn away from the truth. @celestian805 funny how God took what the enemy meant for bad & turned it 4 ur good. :)

  • these videos obviously took some time, and the videos certainly aren't bringing ANYONE to Christ! If anything, they are turning people away from Christ. Our number one responsibility as Christians is to save people!Steven has guided me in a way that no other pastor has! He took a huge amount of risk along with several other families to start Elevation Church! All while his wife was PREGNANT!! Maybe you should spend more time witnessing and less time tearing down God's disciples!

  • why is he called a goat herder?

    ps he is awesome

  • this is probably the most ridiculous thing ive ever seen in my whole like. combined with pastor perrys video you made, it is the most ridiculous thing ive ever seen. stop trying to put down pastors who are winning people over for Christ, and maybe try supporting them for once. im sure youll be amazed at what you can actually learn by LISTENING not criticizing..

  • This is some garbage. I'm GUESSING that whoever made this video is a jealous, non-preaching, fake me out, no gospel preacher. :) I think it's a shame that "believers" have nothing better to do than to attack God's servants. SO WHAT YOU COULDN'T AFFORD TO ATTEND THE CONFERENCE??? DON'T TAKE IT OUT ON STEVEN! Learn how to PRAY and ask God to grow your church from 15 people so that you can make enough money to attend a conference like this. In fact, I'll pray for you! Don't be bitter, tho.

  • Wait a second, the books are open for all to see. Let me ask you, have you ever requested to see them? I guessing no. So, you will hear it from me. It's easy to set back and assume that someone is something that don't like. Check it out and at that point you might have a different opinion. He gave a $300.00 shirt away? Good for him! Have you ever bought something on sale? I don't buy it unless it's on sale. Come back with facts, not just a general opinion. Please...

  • It seems like you think pastor pockets the money, but elevation puts more money back into the community than it keeps. Elevation is a movement of God and outreach is not free. Pastor Steven is a great guy and he wants to see God take our city and he is trying to make that happen but pastor never takes any glory he gives 100% of the glory to God and makes sure everyone knows God is the reason for his and elevations success, yeah he makes some good money but he does a great job and hasabig church

  • @25hgeezy How do you know whether he "pockets the money?" He doesn't disclose his salary. One day you'll be drinking Kool-Aid with this guy.

  • @ffhd1clt however he does disclose his donations, and if i'n drinking kool-aid with pastor steven, Jesus will be there too

  • Whether this video is right or wrong, one of the biggest things holding back the full potential of the gospel is the fact that christians are constantly arguing with each other. You pointed out that you're suppose to call out those who teach wrong. Do you really think that YOUTUBE is the way to do it? 4 kind of people see this video. None of them will be reached for Christ through this, spend more time preaching the gospel

  • I have researched this man...and his church. This guy is legit. It's because of his obedience to the calling of God, that many lives are being changed. Who can put a price on that? I've seen U2 tickets go for $10,000 each. I'm thrilled to see a man of God reap benefits. That overjoys my heart. God is blessing this man and his church.....souls are being saved...lives being turned around....but yet we have people who make videos like this who are doing nothing.

  • Why not do something to uplift the body of Christ instead of making us seem unstable and not unified to a world of unbelievers....but that's just my opinion. Just glad there is someone out there willing to look past people who only want to throw stones. You should read his book "Sun Stand Still".

  • Another purpose driven profiteer.

  • Brothers, I urge you in light of God's love to set aside quarreling for the sake of quarreling. If correction need be made, do it in a spirit of brotherly love rather than for the sake of maintaining an ongoing controversy. If corrected, just as Peter was by Paul, repent and come back to the flock. Iron sharpens iron. No man is without fault, so let each of you sharpen each other with care. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is grace and mercy. Treat each other as Christ has taught us: love each other.

  • get a life man. seriously! i mean what all could be done for the Gospel while u are sitting around (probably in your mother's basement) moaning about someone who is obviously doing a better job than you are. why dont you quit complaining about people doing the work of Christ and get off your butt and start doing something. these videos just show how ignorant and critical you are.

  • John 10:11-13

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd layeth down his life for the sheep. 12 He that is a hireling, and not a shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, beholdeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth, and the wolf snatcheth them, and scattereth them: 13 he fleeth because he is a hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

The hireling will leave you when you're no longer WORTH IT! But the good Shepard loves you NO MATTER WHAT! The good Shepard doesn't take your money

  • LOL!!! Thanks you so much for exposing this BOND SERVANT! And NO this is not conjured up, as some are saying, because we can see the source of the info. I CAN'T BELIEVE HE CHARGES $700. to learn how to start a goat herding church!???! WOW! I wonder what Peter charged Paul to teach him for all those YEARS!!!

Listen you guys, a real Christian man WHO SERVES GOD doesn't charge you a dime to tell you the truth.

  • 1 Timothy 6:3-5

If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, 4he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions 5and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, WHO HAVE BEEN ROBBED OF THE TRUTH and WHO THINK THAT GODLINESS IS A MEANS TO FINANCIAL GAIN.

  • I get to hear Steven for the first time live at the Newspring Conference tomorrow. I'm anxious to hear what he has to say. I know little to nothing about him, so I'm looking forward to hearing him first hand.

  • Cheap shots, man. Your game is weak.

  • Dremias5545 I am praying for you. You must have nothing better to do than attack people.

  • This video accomplishes what? This helps the Kingdom how? Thanks for the information though...I didn't know about this conference and can't wait to sign up now. Guess that's not the response you were looking for though.

  • I don't care if he charges $1000 bucks. If you have the money and want to go then pay it. If you don't then DON'T GO!!! This is a waste of someones time... you could have used it to build someone up, or share the Gospel with someone.

  • ...I mean God. Worship me...I mean God. Praise me...I mean God. Honor me...I mean God. Hear my word...I mean God's word. Worship at my church...I mean God's church. Egotistical, self-promoting, charlatan. Abomination! Another major resistor between God and man! Shhh... Stop...and listen...to God's words!

  • Whats the motivation behind this video?

  • @summa1129 what do you know about pastor steven or the leadership of elevation. the reason that pastor steven has a board of pastors to answer to over "lay" members (the term laity is a bad term for the non-ordained) is because you cannot lead where you first haven't been. a "lay" member cannot properly lead pastor steven because no church in or around charlotte (the nearest is newspring in anderson,sc) has been as large as elevation or grown as fast.

  • have you stopped to think that people didn't pay this much to hear Jesus himself speak? i mean, it's actually quite hilarious and sad at the same time when you think about it that way. why would anyone in their right mind pay for one of these conference things anyway? i'm not on here to slam the likes of furtick or noble, but what is it that they know about God that the rest of us with a mind and a spirit can't find out on our own through prayer and reading God-breathed scripture? it's free.

  • The church, which started in early 2006, has adopted a governance system

that has Furtick answering not to a group of lay members, as in many churches but to a board of five out-of-town pastors (his purpose driven co-hirelings) he chose. These friends and mentors, who lead big churches like Elevation, set his salary, which Furtick won't divulge all of.

  • to be honest, most of the previous videos you posted of pastor steven makes me want to become a better christian

his preaching has opened my eyes! I should be living my life with Christ's love within me

like bringing lost friends to church and feeding the hungry and loving my enemies.

my friend, if you had not posted these videos of him, i wouldn't know about Elevation Church and how much god really seems to be working within that church

    God bless Pastor Steven!

  • @Celestian805 I would hope we pray that Furtick gets saved and finds the real Christ. His version does nothing but put people on the wrong path. Dig deeper.

  • @Celestian805

haha. nice. i like that. :) God Bless pastor Steven indeed. we need more leaders like him.

  • Just another money-driven Shuller-ite turning Christianity in America into a needs based non-gospel. Shuller inspired two of the most heretical 'pastors,' Hybels and Warren, to focus on man centered 'growth' programs with a watered down non-gospel. In turn, they launched 'the careers' of many non-gospel preaching heretics such as, Perry Noble, Ed Young, Furtick, Rob Bell, and endless others. Unless this nonsense is stopped, in time, people increasingly will not recognize the true Gospel.

  • @summa1129 What exactly are your problems with Hybels, Warren, Noble, Bell and others? Is it that they are well known? Do you think they are just after money? I know that Warren has given all he has ever been paid back to his church and accepts only a small salary from the organization. Rob Bell's church meets in an old mall. Certainly they could spend their money on a lavish building if he was leading them into greed. These men while they have frailties have inspired millions to faith in Jesus.

  • @jjalight Well, Hybels uses man derived marketing techniques to create a non-Christian 'seeker church' and sells his admitted failed methods and sermons to thousands of churches desperate for numbers. Warrens makes millions selling gospel-lite self help books and conferences. Noble is a shock dj 'pastor' that calls those who want to dig deeper in the Word jackasses. Bell is simply rewriting the Bible to make it liberal and cool. They are false teachers and must be exposed, that is Biblical.

  • @jjalight How do you know these speakers have 'inspired' millions to Jesus? God did not send his Son to inspire us.You would do well to listen to Paul Washer speaking of decisional regeneration. The apostle Paul in the new testament warned us of these false teachers, I am simply pointing them out as called.

  • Maybe when he grows up he will read a Bible and actually start preaching. I hope he begs God to save him.

  • you obviouslly know nothing about Pastor Steven or his church. IMPART was a conference for people who are going to become pastors, and get to know Pastor Steven. And yes it was expensive, but i would like you to know that Pastor does not keep that money, much of what Elevation makes goes back into the city and other ministries, millions of dollars are given back to the city every year, we dont keep it. Don't judge the church or the pastor which you know NOTHING about. he is anything but greedy

  • Unbelievers, false brethren, and certain carnally minded believers tend to be quick to "judge" God's servants... (biblical def.: judging forming negative opinions based on incomplete facts) We know that those in fellowship with the Lord won't do this kind of wickedness. It breaks God's 2nd commandment, which Jesus says is, "like unto the 1st and greatest commandment"... which is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength... and to love your brother!

  • @dukecole1 You said," Judging our brother in Christ is definitely breaking the two greatest commandments. Loving one another completely fulfills Gods law (Romans 13). (1 John 3:10-24)." and then you proceed to judge. Such a double standard!

We are commanded to call out those who teach errors. Furtick teaches errors and defends the false teacher Joel Osteen.
