It's not Linux's fault, but rather the bottleneck is booting Linux from a flash drive with USB 2.0. Had gOS been installed on the Harddrive and been accessed via the eSATA interface, it would have booted just as fast as Windows XP, if not faster.
@minicoz5 Of course, he explained in the video that the interface for the windows XP computer is using an eSata interface while the Linux computer is using a USB interface. On an equal playing field, Linux will smoke Windows.
