This vending machine was tricked by somebody that it could supply only hot drink(OSHIRUKO == Sweet bean soup). You can see it's button has been pushed by tape.

the tape is right on the hot soup button, is just like if you go and want a cocacola but a prankster put a tape on the Root beer button, you will end up having it just before being able to push it lol

@duranls1 Actually, it's more like you want a cold coca-cola, but you get hot, molten sweet soup-that'll make you thirsty instead. That's the cool thing about Japanese vending machines though; they have hot stuff, cold stuff, salty stuff, sweet stuff, everything!

Oh man, even the sounds from that make me hot. Summer in Japan is just plain horrible sometime. At least in Florida they have central AC. I do miss those hot drinks (in steel cans no less) in the winter though.
