Thanks for this video series. My husband is deploying to Afghanistan in May and I really wanted to get an idea of what life might be like for him there. I realize that amenities vary from FOB to FOB but it's good to at least have a general picture. I really appreciate this.

there is plenty availability for healthy foods on most of the DFAC's and PX's I have been in for both countries for our troops.

Not all forward operation bases and other bases have gyms like this but many do. The size of the gyms and PX's will vary but we did go to some outying bases where there were no PX's too but most do have one again of different sizes. Good luck with joining and serving our country.

do all military bases overseas have all this gyms, store, etc? i going to join the army and i want to be able to strength train regularly.

@ilikepunti Ya know, You could just go to a regular gym, learn how to excercise and eat properly, All while having a job that doesn't require you to submit yourself to the will of arrogant, disrespectful pricks...
