This commercial leaves too much emphasis on fashion and image. The Shell Ferrari commercial, was great, because it focused on what Ferraris are all about; performance, power and passion.

This ad? I see more handbags and mobile phones than I see motoring passion.

Lamborghini have got the right idea; their 'commercials' basically entail Lamborghinis being hammered through post apocalyptic environments and everything being destroyed, or driving through Italy with epic music playing.

I have one, I bought it in Kuwait and shipped it over to Ireland 40,000 for shipping and other fee's only 70,000 for the car brand new in 2005. I recommend it to anyone looking for a Ferrari. I have done it with my wife's Porsche, trust me it's better. I am not some fool trying to let on about having one, if you have the money it is the right thing to do.

@MrCianbrennan What are the running costs like for a 360? Clutch replacements, belts (no timing chains like the 430), etc. I've considered a DB7 and a 360, and even saving a bit for a 430.

@C63AMGestate So far I have been very lucky I have had no problems with my car other than a a smashed exhaust pipe witch only cost 500 euro's to repair, However my brother has a 360 like me and his gearbox broke and would not go into 4th gear this cost him 7,000 euro for a new casing or something along the lines of that.

My wife HATES the speed, the cornering, the acceleration. THATS why I try NEVER to take her with me when i want to have fun on Mulholland. I LOVE this car and it only has 27k miles on it. It is more fun than the older 911, but not by much. BUT the on center steering feel is awesome. Also she can't understand why i love the engine sound. MUSIC

Don't get me wrong, they are great cars, but be realistic.

The only reason to drive a Ferrari is to show off that you can afford one.

If you have a ton of money and need to get somewhere fast, why wouldn't you just helicopter in? And plus, it's not like you can drive those things at their full speed on the streets. Not legally or safely anyways.

And it's not like you built the car yourself, and are showing what you made; you just bought it.

They only have two seats, so they are impractical.

Most people with money enough for a car like that don't have time to build or set up a racing car. But if they want something fun to drive they can have ferrari to build it and set it up for them so they can just go in it and drive and have a lot of fun. Of course it's also about showing off, but who don't want to impress their neighbors with a shiny new ferrari?
