The whole idea was to show how ridiculous Hannity's argument was by making an argument against him of the exact same form, showing him how silly his form of argument was. Gibbs wasn't really attacking Hannity for making the guy the centerpiece of the show, he was just pointing out how absurd hannity's statement really was.

Sean H. INTERVIEWS people, including people like the snake Gibbs. Obama is POTUS, with friends like Ayers, a wife like Michelle, a preacher who would fit right into the KKK if they accepted black members and a host of lying tax cheats and other vagabonds he's appointed.
Gibbs didn't make any valid points; his comparison is futile. The Left has no appreciation for the concept/function of a free press; they think the role of the press is to pander to their view, hence Gibbs appears credible.

Gibbs just made the point very clearly that you cannot make someone guilty of something purely by association with others that are. Hannity accuses barack obama of having poor judgment by associating with a known terrorist so Gibbs accuses Hannity of the same thing, of being an anti-semite for assiciating himself with a vocal anti-semite. He points out that Hannity's argument is patently absurd and frankly makes a complete fool out of him, and deservedly so.
