How cool is this? You will not know unless you have tried to do it by experiment and total failure – many times accompanied by a great deal of swearing and cut hands as it behaves like an alien beast that is fighting you for its survival - lol.

i fold them like i was gona jump rope. hold the blade with both hands about 3' apart and raise blade high and then 1 good snap downward and a twist of both hands inward. works every time. to open just throw like hell away from you!

Tricky things them little blades. Just too springy. Uncoiling them is the easy part. Just hold it out at arms reach and flick it away from yourself. Making sure no one is nearby. Useful video.

I struggled for about 20 minutes trying to figure this out, before finally getting annoyed enough to hurl them into the woods. Thanks for the video, i'm off to try it for myself...if i can find the blades...

Same here - I just use my hands. I learned the technique from folding the window shade for my car windshield.

Unfolding? Yup. Take it outside and toss it away - there's no good way to unfold these treacherous things.

This is the easy part. Uncoiling them without getting a faceful of blade is more fun. I go outside and throw them away from me.
