@Ammoniumbicarbonat LOL, that might not have been a stupid comment. I do believe Rob Halford is in fact gay. Not that it matters, he did turn out good music and for the record their hair styles changed going into the eighties and so on and so on.
@noem1313 you are absolutely correct as far as the lead singer is concerned. Rob Halford is possibly gay and did make a cameo appearance in the movie Spun as a cashier in a porn shop reading a gay men's adult magazine. Good call LOL!
Close your eyes and listen. 1974. The vocal and guitar play will hold up forever. Picture your best foreplay and orgasim. Vocals and guitar. J.P. knows how to join the two. Thanks J.P. from all of us.

If you like this album and it got you to start listening to judas priest then you're a real priest fan. FUCK THOSE WHO NEVER LISTENED TO THIS CLASSIC AND CLAIM THEY ARE BIG PRIEST FANS
@cantstopwontstop310 WORD! I actually go as far as to say that I like their classics more because it's rather hardrock compared to their later metal work
@breitsch Yeah, not just that but if you realize Rob is a gay man and when he joined priest he used his poems for his lyrics which had a lot of meaning and truth behind it. Now their metal stuff is more raw and crazy. It's still good but it doesn't compare to the '70s priest we all know and love
October 2011 coming to Seattle!! I love how the camera kept missing the guitar solo(s) until after they were almost done. Glen and K.K are great. Gonna miss K.K in seattle
Thought they were amazing then as they are now. I'm no spring chicken but have seen them in the early 80'S many time's and they still deliver great music. You realize your getting old and no one seem's to care.
I propose that we send a message to Youtube requesting that they remove the 'LIKE' & 'DISLIKE' buttons. And in their place, install a 'SUPER LIKE' and a 'HOLY SHIT THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME' button. Who's with me?

Just like early Deep Purple, this just SOUNDS aggressive, even though by modern standards, it's positively tame! The entry into the first chorus is tight! Great song! Still better than most of the waffle on the radio today!!!
@njgorrell Yeah but the only reason it isn't as heavy is because the stuff on the radio now is just yelling and it gives the listener the feeling that it is heavier but really it is untalented garbage for the most part. c'mon this is legacy.Judas priest and Scorpions are metal legends. They create the comlete sound of the "heavy metal" music in 70"s and 80"s and they keep it up in the early 90's.Both of them have ballads and hard and heavy songs.Of course now there are many heavier bands (like the nu metal stuff) but i tell you that the cant beat the original spirit of metal that priest and scorps promoted back then.
@HotRodSixString Both bands were great but the only similarity is they both have guitarists that studied meticulously & have rare composing talent, Scorps -R Schenker, M. Schenker, U. Roth & to a lesser extent Jabbs (I like Jabbs but he is not in the same class ) Priest- Glen Tipton is amazing & Downing is a good complimentary player. Their only similarity is they both are metal gods that compose great music
@Orion28296 Scorpions call them selves a "German HeavyMetal band". These days there are bands that are heavier but the term was originally used in the 70`s Yes they do have alot of ballads & even Judas Priest has at least one ballad per album Both Bands rock my world !
Good to see Priest in their formative days doing the hard rock/proto-metal thing. Their outfits are crackin me up though. Looks like they fell into a Skynyrd's wardrobe closet and couldnt get out in time before the show.
No one can begrudge Rob or Priest for their success. These guys worked their asses off to make it big. Incredible how hard they rock here and they were so poor financially in 1975 and didn't know if they could keep going, but they kept at it.
@frelvis77 Yeah, right? The the great thing about live. You can hear everyone clear as a bell. That's why most of my favorite albums are recorded essentially live.
@frelvis77 who care if 39 people with you, is that election for president? or is an enquiry? if the other 39 bastards can not think by themselves is their business, but the bass always sound,, i hope you understand fool on the hill...
@Yosimar Where did you learn your English man? Anyway, try and find the bass on the studio version of Painkiller, or Freewheel Burning. I'm right, you're wrong, and that's the way it is.
@frelvis77 thank prof. Shakespeare, you are the typical American, who know everything, only watching MTV or American idol...you need to learn a lot, men,,, or maybe your only 13 years old arent you?
@Yosimar OK Fucking troll bastard, I tried to be nice. Here's the deal, Judas Priest has been my favorite band since 1983, probably before you were born, and I've seen them live 4 times, soon to be 5. As far as the Priest is concerned, I am fucking Prof. Shakespeare! It's a well known fact that they keep Ian Hill's bass turned low nowadays, and yes not so much in the early days. So Fuck You, Fuck your anti-American bias, and fuck your mom who failed to abort you when she had the chance.
@frelvis77 please do no try to be nice, who cares if you are nice, beautiful or gay for me is the same, if your are judas priest fans i think that you offence the priiest... i know much better their Music before you were abort. i am not anti-American i am only against your arrogance, and your Country who is destroying the World in the name of Freedom.....good bye Prof Shespirito..... jajajaj
@frelvis77 dont be pathetic, please or i am going to cry, your english is not really good neither, the typical stupid american... who had never read a book... That is america...
@frelvis77 Dude grow the fuck up. No one gives a shit about how many thumbs up you get. And yes, you can hear the bass, try listening to Priest's songs with bass cut out, how much of a difference it makes. Talking about Ian Hill's bass, he has a bass solo in The Rage, so yea, I guess I can hear the bass
@DoraTheDino I need to grow the fuck up? Who's trolling me now? Looks like you. And as I told the other moron, yes Ian Hill is a great bassist, you just cant hear it well in the newer albums. I really wish 39 didn't agree with me, cause then I wouldn't have the top rated comment and I wouldn't have to deal with troglodytes trolling me. I don't start with people here, I just respond, and respond in ill humor.

@frelvis77 Actually, Ian's bass is well audible on Nostradamus, y'know...
