I need help ive died my hair from black to platinum blonde XXL , ive already used 2 but my roots are platinum gold and the rest of my hair is just like red , orange brown and bits of blonde. if i keep using XXL will it get like yours? Thanks x

go to Sallys Beauty,if u dont have one then go to their site.Get this stuff called 7th stage Creme Lightener,it's in a bottle.Then make sure u get 3 packets of the lightening powder.Then get Clairol Clairoxide clear developer 20 vol.the lightening packets r right beside the bottle of the creme lightener.mix 4oz of developer with 2oz of the 7th stage crem lightener,then put all 3 of the packets of the lightening powder in there to. Don't use a brush to do this.Get u a mixing bottle at Sallys to.

I put some 'platinum' toner on it and left it for an hour and I'm not sure it really did anything, if if did it's not majorly different. or you could just go to a hairdressers/salon, then you won't get the breakage, as much damage and have to treat it constantly with conditioner to make it feel healthy.

@FreshStart996 Blonde hair dye hardly ever works, or only works for people that naturally have light colour hair, and thin hair. It almost never works on Asian or black hair, or even people that have naturally dark hair. You will probably have to bleach it, and unfortunately it goes ginger a lot of the time, so what I do is after bleaching, use a light ash blonde shade and mix the toner in it ( you can get all of this from Sallys or Capital) its a very long process and damages the hair a lot!
I don't know why but when I dyed my hair black it was like it lost life, but when I dyed it blonde it was so much healthier though, it feels so much better I'm confused LOL but I condition either way like crazy.

Cosmetology school is everything, Hair, makeup, skin, feet the whole nine yards. I was just saying that box dye is terrible for your hair if you want to bleach it. I know what I'm talking about, they use chemicals that have metallics. So lets say you've always dyed your hair black with box dye, and you now want to go blonde the same way. It is possible if the dye you used previously had metallics in it, and you bleach it your hair will fall out/melt off. I've seen it..

@Athene1996 Okay so, wait for it to fade, wash it in mostly hot watter when u want it to fade more, bleach it once a month, because it will get VERY dammaged after bleaching it, also use a heat protectant (?) on it if when you use a flat iron or curling iron it. itll take maybe two to three months of bleaching to get it the right color. So remember, till you get the right color, bleach it once a month and give it a break to save it.

@hungryjellyfish999 bleach and developer isnt as bad as she's saying especialy with your brown hair my hair is natuarlly black and its white blonde and farely healthy and i used bleach and devoloper it took me only two bleaches roots are kinda annoying but its not as hard as dying the whole head. and its perfectly fine and much cheaper to do it at home

@fabulouslybritish1 if you have doubts and dont want to wreck your hair go to the salon. im a hair stylist and i cannot even tell you how many times ihave had girls in my chair that have tried to go blonde themselves at home and come in to have what they did fixed. its disatrous and the hair is just wrecked. damaged damaged damaged. if your not confident in doing it yourself & if your paying for 3 boxes and a toner etc it will all add up to the same amount at a salon anyway.

XXl dye is shit and turned my hair bright yellow so i went a natural brown and killed my hair to the point where it fell out in clumps, after 3 months of sleeping with hair masks on and deep conditioner it was healthyish and i have just put a highlightening kit on it hurt to pull the hair through the cap but it was so worth it, i now have a lightish browny blonde colour and it is so much better to just go blonde that way rather that fuck loads of bleach.

ive had so much hassle trying to get my hair blonde i wanna go blonde and then go red but when i applied a blonde hair dye it dyed my roots ginger/copper an the rest was still black i dunno how im gonna do it with like a secure technique without going ginger or spending a fortune :(

@FreshStart996 Blonde hair dye hardly ever works, or only works for people that naturally have light colour hair, and thin hair. It almost never works on Asian or black hair, or even people that have naturally dark hair. You will probably have to bleach it, and unfortunately it goes ginger a lot of the time, so what I do is after bleaching, use a light ash blonde shade and mix the toner in it ( you can get all of this from Sallys or Capital) its a very long process and damages the hair a lot!

I'm not arguing that box products are better, but you'd probably have more weight behind your statement if you had started the sentence with "I'm a hairstylist, and...". I mean, cosmetologists who specialize in cosmetics and skincare are not necessarily experts with hair. That's a little like a plastic surgeon advising you on a kidney transplant...?

Cosmetology school is everything, Hair, makeup, skin, feet the whole nine yards. I was just saying that box dye is terrible for your hair if you want to bleach it. I know what I'm talking about, they use chemicals that have metallics. So lets say you've always dyed your hair black with box dye, and you now want to go blonde the same way. It is possible if the dye you used previously had metallics in it, and you bleach it your hair will fall out/melt off. I've seen it..

@Athene1996 Okay so, wait for it to fade, wash it in mostly hot watter when u want it to fade more, bleach it once a month, because it will get VERY dammaged after bleaching it, also use a heat protectant (?) on it if when you use a flat iron or curling iron it. itll take maybe two to three months of bleaching to get it the right color. So remember, till you get the right color, bleach it once a month and give it a break to save it.

@fabulouslybritish1 if you have doubts and dont want to wreck your hair go to the salon. im a hair stylist and i cannot even tell you how many times ihave had girls in my chair that have tried to go blonde themselves at home and come in to have what they did fixed. its disatrous and the hair is just wrecked. damaged damaged damaged. if your not confident in doing it yourself & if your paying for 3 boxes and a toner etc it will all add up to the same amount at a salon anyway.

XXl dye is shit and turned my hair bright yellow so i went a natural brown and killed my hair to the point where it fell out in clumps, after 3 months of sleeping with hair masks on and deep conditioner it was healthyish and i have just put a highlightening kit on it hurt to pull the hair through the cap but it was so worth it, i now have a lightish browny blonde colour and it is so much better to just go blonde that way rather that fuck loads of bleach.
