They look beautiful in the water , black top from above in a ice fishing shack but butt ugly out of water and all muscle. I use a board with a nail sticking out to hold its head stead so I can peel it in one shot. We call the meat poor mans lobster lol.... The biggest I got was ice fishing about 7lbs.

@CapnCrossbones no,thier fresh water.Think Asian wetlands thailand to Korea and all through the Malsion Islands.They look like a bowfin or a mudfish,but they strike with a pop like a jack and pull like an Amberjack straight away from you.They have a bad attitude.

@dannymartin66 another name for Ling Cod we have here is Burbott , they look a lot like these things you are catching but they don't have scales just skin. They live in our lakes and streams. They look beautiful in the water , black top from above in a ice fishing shack but butt ugly out of water and all muscle. I use a board with a nail sticking out to hold its head stead so I can peel it in one shot. We call the meat poor mans lobster lol.... The biggest I got was ice fishing about 7lbs.

@juli7890 Oscar is a Manchester Terrier.They were bred for, and have been, killing rats for over 500 years.These fish are ugly but they are harmless and edible.Its safer than a rat trust me.Fishing and hunting can be hard to watch for some people,but the fact is that coon hounds hunt coons and bird dogs hunt birds and Oscar hunts fish.I would never hurt him hes too cool.

@XjerichoX12 in every case its people introducing them to the enviroment.They first got here in 2000.I was in a tourny a couple of weeks ago and 5 pairs of fisherman caught 200 of them in 6 hours..they take over.In 20 years you wont be able to find a bass here.
