It was 20 years ago this month that Mermaids was released (Dec. 1990). Despite a corny storyline, the music was great, the scenery was beautiful (as was Winona!), and all in all it was a fun movie. I remember going to see it during final exam week of my first semester in college....it was a nice study break!
