totally agree with these foods but always wondered why natural/organic peanut butter is always favoured? Other types might have a tiny amount of salt/sugar/oils added and I don't really see how this can make much difference. On another note, what do you have for breakfast? i've got some tasty recipes but there getting pretty boring
@dodzy6 You're right in that perspective, it doesn't make MUCH difference, but it does make SOME difference - and that's the difference you don't want when you're 6 weeks out from competition. I agree with you though, for most of the time - peanut butter is peanut butter, but it's pretty much the same price so you might as well go natural.
Breakfast can be anything! Avocado on whole grain toast, some eggs and a piece of fruit is a great meal! Oatmeal pancakes with eggs, smoothies.. :)
@StrandRobin if thats ur answer to the difference between natural peanut butter and "skippy" peanut butter, please rephrase your answer, im not knocking your video or anything you clearly know your stuff, but this is where i needa say something. Regular peanut butter is filled with hydrogenated oils which are just a no no by all means
@StrandRobin ya it wont kill you but why go with that when you can go for the natural/organic peanut butter, its just better for you. I think it tastes better too
totally agree with these foods but always wondered why natural/organic peanut butter is always favoured? Other types might have a tiny amount of salt/sugar/oils added and I don't really see how this can make much difference.
i really dont wanna be a smartass since i shouldnt even be giving u advice but 'instant' stuff is usually isnt natural at all. instant rice/oatmeal r usually high gi
Fact...not everyones body receives each food the same, whats good for on person can be not as good for another...sum whole wheat cereals have been known to make blood preseure if taken in the morning, so if u have a history of heart attacks u may want to lay off it in the morning.so experiment with different foods...
You got everything right except for the lack of vegetables you eat. More variety man!! I prefer fresh raw vege's like salad with at least 8-9 different types of vegetables. Eat that and top it off with apple cider and balsamic vinegar and a bit of olive oil then you are good to go. It is the key to muscle definition and maintaining a low body fat while keeping the lean mass that you put on with your other meat proteins and whole grain starches. Anyhow great physique man. Keep it up.
dang bruh! keep up the good work! :P quick question though, can you list out some songs?! :p Lol since i need to cycle my work outs, thought i'd cycle my songs too :P
És que no pot una dona comentar que li agrada físicament un home guapo perquè aquest és un territori masculí? Crec que falta una mica d'obertura, encara que crec que de part dels comentaristes, no del amable protagonista. Ignacia.
@elemental57 Sorry for my english, but I tried for some humoristic way explain you that I'AM A GIRL.
I'm not a culturist, but this boy is for me atractive. I hope you are not only muscles, but a man with a brain. Could I think this man is sexy or only men can comment about girls? Good bye, moron. Ignacia
for steak, go for tenderloin..... tastes the best and is super lean. the other ones you mentioned, although can be used for steaks, are often best used in roasts and stews and stuff.
You look really good. I like the brocolli cole slaw in the bag in the fresh section. I throw it into some Swanson Organic Chicken Broth from the big boxes. Just bring that to a boil with a little California Olive Ranch Extra Virgin Olive oil that the big box stores even have now and some red onion, garlic, celery or what have you. It makes a delicious soup in 15 minutes and it lasts for days so you can get a lot of fresh veggies.
@MsCankersore i know you were talking to him but i figured i might as well haha..
thats a common question, but 100% natural whey protein is the healthiest. i think it's because it has the lowest fat. I personally dont like whey though so i use regular stuff haha. just read labels! go for low "calories from fat"!
@UrJoker Typically, there are two main types of whey protein. There's whey concentrate, which is about 70-80% protein. The rest of the calories come from carbs and fat. Since it does contain fat, digestion would be slowed. Then there's whey isolate, which is usually about 90% protein. It contains a lot less carbs and fat (usually 1g or less of carb and .5g or less of fat).
Most people prefer isolate, because it absorbs faster. There's also casein, which is slow digesting. I would go for those.
it's the first video of yours that I see now, and i can't believe you're so young! I'm really happy, i'm 22 and a very hardgainer! It's really nice to see a good video, very understandable! it's inspiring! Than k you !
You have certainly read up on nutrition. BTW, salmon and tilapia do not have mercury. It is top-of-the-foodchain large fish like tuna, shark, and swordfish that have mercury.
@VarrioMexicano lol dude working out isnt for robots, u have to do all muscles as in a full body workout, not just bench press, and for that udd need around an hour , not neescessarly every day but wtvr.
i rlly advise u to do some research on body buliding, dnt just do it without knwing wat ur doing
You bought lots of fish. How many servings a week do you have? I'm wondering since I myself would like to eat more, but I try to keep my intake to two servings a week due to mercury (seems even tuna and salmon have a little mercury in them).
I usually eat tons of tuna, salmon and tilapia or sole. Most of my muscle building meals will have 8 ounces of fish or chicken. I wouldn't worry too much about mercury
Sardines! Oh gross, plus they have too much damn sodium. How about some other nuts and fruits? Spray oil is smart, it allows you to use less and avoid extra fat calories. I use Yukon Gold potatoes, they're smaller and you microwave them and they'll cook all of the way faster and the skins taste okay. How about some onions and mushrooms? Good flavors from simple carbs and low-calorie.
Get back to work, those dishes are not going to put themselves away!
Thanks for the comment! I actually neglected to mention other fruits, nuts and veggies more than I should have because I am in competition prep mode. Fruits are definitely a great food to incorporate into a bodybuilding diet. Nuts and seeds are excellent as well. It's good to eat a large range of vegetables and fruits to insure you are getting the benefit of all the different types.
@apaige22, I was going to mention that potatoes are not on my shopping list because I always have an abundance of them at home -- but Russet and sweet potatoes are both a staple of mine. I will make some actual meal videos when I am finished with my contest prep (the meals are small and boring)
thanks for posting this video i think its helpful. my diet includes a lot of the foods shown in your video minus a few things. i live abroad currently in a non-english speaking country so its hard to read the food labels for caloric content and fat , etc.

drinks: what do you drink? what milk if you do
rice: minute rice is brown rice right?
eggs: does it make a difference if i just buy eggs and separate white and yolk?
broccoli: how much a day?
psp520 1 year ago
@psp520 Water, basically. Milk occasionally - 2%.
Minute Rice is the brand, they make white rice and brown rice. The one I have is brown (it's actually 10 minute rice)
No it doesn't make a difference
It depends, I usually eat a crown of broccoli per day. That's about 1/2lb to 1lb
