this video has been very helpful, but what if I need to put a triplet towards the end of the phrase, and can't fit the hop on that same phase?

@patsbassoon Instead of tangling with groove and hop commands, I mess with the delay command to do triplets. So (assuming 6 ticks per step) with a four step figure, I would divide that into triplets by having the first one normal, the second delayed 2 ticks, and the third delayed 4 ticks. (The fourth step is left empty.) Basically you just have to figure out how many ticks a 4-beat figure would occupy, divide that by 3, and use the delay to space your notes by that amount of ticks.
