  • Where's the diagnosis? Lots of time spent in the ignition switch and the coil. But what was the resistances found or not found on the old stator. That information was omitted and shouyld not have been because it is one of the major steps of troubleshooting called "Localize" then Isolate" .

  • @wa6ati-- I dont remember now what all the reading were, but I found some various posts on some forums for each rating of the ignition system and the specific readings. I determined it was bad because the reading was "zero" as opposed to 300 (or whatever)...you will have to research each testing point for yourself as I did not think to put it on here at the time. My intuition and mechanical knowledge helped me to localize it and isolate it to that part based on the symptoms I was experiencing.

  • Need help

I have 99' warrior it keeps burning the power fuse , not sure why can anyone help??

  • @RealpalmeroB If it keeps blowing the fuse, that means something is "overloading" the wire that the fuse is connected to, could be a short in the wire, could be a faulty electrical switch. See if you can reproduce the time when the fuse blows, i.e. starting or full throttle or in a wet environment or turning left or something like that...fuses are designed to protect in the even of something not normal...tracing the cables may help too.

  • i cannot get the back bolt to stay still for the life of me its like theyre stuck together any ideas on how i could clamp down on the back bolt

  • @BlueXBearr There should be a spot to hold the entire thing from spinning. I don't remember now.

  • @jwebb1975 there is but i just dont know what to use to hold it from spinning and would power tools be better for this?

  • dude! use a impact screw driver with the right bit and you wont strip screws ! come on new bee

  • Did yours turn over atleast b4 u changed the stator

  • @juanitogrijalva the motor turned, it was not seized up...but it did not turn over, meaning it didnt start, not even when pull starting it. if you can pull start it and it works, then it is not the stator.

  • So my next guess would leve the final component being the cdi!!

  • I have the same problem lil mike has I already changed the ignition coil so it's not that I can pop start it but the electric start produces no spark did he ever figure it out please help

  • @Amfreeman03 --- It is not the Stator if you can roll start it. The ATV wont start by rollling, pushing, pulling, you name it, if the stator is bad.

  • does it plug to the ignition because none of my wires on my harness plug into that except a seperate ignition that i had laying around

  • @killoradorider9 - Sorry I am not familiar with the name of the plug, but at .22 of the video, those are the only plugs that are used for this exchange.

  • what is the third plug from the stator for? thanks

  • @killoradorider9 - I don't know what the plug goes to. I just found its match and plugged it in. I don't remember now i am afraid.

  • i got a question for ya i have an 89 warrior well i got a new stator similar to the one u have with 2 square plugs i need one with 2 round plugs can u use a jumper to plug it together will it work???

  • @reaperofevil666 - You can splice the plugs, but that isn't worth it. The year changes from 90 and on..older ones I am not sure of.

  • can i buy a stator, is there a good website to go to thanx

  • @tdavi3 - I got my stator from some website i just found..they are all over...just dont get a refurbished one..its a risk

  • i was thinking the the stator was bad on my warrior it wont start by turning the motor over but it will start if i roll start it you think it is the stator? thanks

  • No, if it starts when you roll start it then it might be your starter (mounted on the engine), it might be the ignition coil (mounted under the headlights)...or something else, but not the warrior.

  • i was going crazy trying to figure how to replace it until i found this video, thanks a lot............

  • Glad it was helpful. Good luck!

  • no, but you should replace the oil after its done

  • Hi, did you have to empty the oil before?
