@edizkan you should also explain this hadith so we wont have confusion and people interpreting it wrong!! that hadith says that her characteristics are different than that of a man (not identical). So Allah’s Beloved Messenger Alaihes Salato Salaam is advising men not to try to change the characteristics of a woman to be like that of a man or he would not enjoy her presence beside him and in his home.
@edizkan a woman is created from a crooked rib means that she has all the characteristics she requires to perform her functions perfectly, which are the protection for her family and children as well as her mercy and love. So if one tries to change a woman’s characteristics to be like his then she would not be able to perform her function on earth which are mercy and protection for her loved ones. Honoring this nature in women and not trying to change it is what makes life enjoyable.

but i guess only 4 mother in laws theoretically (usually most muslim men dont marry more than 1), rest of 73 is in paradise and they wont have parents to have mother in laws. by the way 73, the way its said in arabic doesnt mean exact 73.. it means many, as i've been t0ld. The fact that a student studied with a madhhab does not mean that he cannot go beyond it if he finds sound evidence elsewhere; the only one who stubbornly clings to a particular madhhab (regardless of the evidence) is one who lacking in religious commitment and intellect, or he is doing that because of partisan attachment to his madhhab.

It's always better* to speak with Ayats and Hadiths if there is one concerning the matter. And there is always one:
Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Treat women well. The woman was created from a rib. The most bent part of the rib is the top part. If you try to straighten it, you will break it. If you leave it, it remains bent. So treat women well." [Agreed upon, Bukhari and Muslim]

@edizkan you should also explain this hadith so we wont have confusion and people interpreting it wrong!! that hadith says that her characteristics are different than that of a man (not identical). So Allah’s Beloved Messenger Alaihes Salato Salaam is advising men not to try to change the characteristics of a woman to be like that of a man or he would not enjoy her presence beside him and in his home.

@edizkan a woman is created from a crooked rib means that she has all the characteristics she requires to perform her functions perfectly, which are the protection for her family and children as well as her mercy and love. So if one tries to change a woman’s characteristics to be like his then she would not be able to perform her function on earth which are mercy and protection for her loved ones. Honoring this nature in women and not trying to change it is what makes life enjoyable.

This is actually one of his videos I really liked. Don't get me wrong, I like most of his videos, but I don't necessarily think this is the right venue for most. That's aside;
I'm really surprised that people here, especially Muslims are reacting to these as if they are hearing it the first time. Please forgive my ignorance on this; I thought Muslim families, unlike non-Muslim families, are more engaged with their kids. I thought the values of Islam did prevent many of these issues.
