  • XD I used to watch this when I was little

    along with samurai pizza cats

  • This is better than the theme song from Saban's dub

  • @Kitsuneranger You sorta wonder why Saban even bothered picking it up at all?

  • This brings back so many memories. Maya the bee used to be my favourite show. Thank you for posting.

  • It's so weird to listen to the English version now when I grew up hearing Zbigniew Wodecki singing it in Polish.

  • Cutest Bee I ever seen!

  • I always felt sorry for Maya when she cried.....

  • This soundtrack was composed by a Czech composer Karel Svoboda...

  • @Kamka2 Sadly I think Saban scrapped that for the US English release we had.

  • Is this the UK version of Maya, the Bee?

  • This soundtrack is very much like ours in German, same melody and similar lyrics ;). Oh, and it says "Maja" with a "j" in it because that´s how we spell Maya over here, our "j" is like your "y".

  • I used to love this stuff!

  • I love this intro!!!! esspecially the German one!!!!

  • Okay guys, sorry, my bad.

  • @lazowianiepl mylisz się kolego. To japońskie anime, które zostało zlokalizowane w wielu krajach świata w tym w Polsce.

  • i need the interpreter or the singer of this song, can me please help someone?

  • @n3rv3ntrauma In Cech and German it is sing by Karel Gott.

  • Yeah, everyone loves Maya, that's why she is crying at the end.

  • it says Maja because the original spelling of this name is MAJA. Maya ist the way you pronounce it and writing 'Maya' is just making it easier for english speaking audience.

    I should know.

    My name is Maja ;)

  • it says Maja because the original spelling of this name is MAJA. Maya is only an english version.

    I should know.

    My name is Maja ;)

  • Thanks for posting this - we had the same opening version in South Africa. It was a long-running children's programme in the 80's. I've been trying to find this version of the opening titles for ages now - so glad to have found the version my nostalgic self is accustomed to!

  • australian tv classics? never seen this in my life...

  • hahaha I've not heard this version of the theme since 1986! Thanks so much for posting it. BTV-6 Ballarat in Victoria used to have this show on air in the morning when I'd get home from doing the nightshift on the local radio station 3BA...I was 17 at the time...great memories! Thanks again!

  • it sounds so cute in english

    like the voice more than the german one from Karel Gott :}

  • @melovejimmy no, it sounds strange. In german it's better :)

  • Czech song :-D

  • Who sang this?

  • Do you have any episodes of this? There's like two English Maya shows. There's also a American English version of it, but the songs were changed just like this one the soudtracks are not the same as the Japanese one's so there's like three soundtrack versions.

  • I'm afraid I don't. This opening is all I have of Maya the Bee. Sorry.

  • @AustralianTVClassics Can you please tell me how come Maya was spelled with a j like that, I know it clearly say Maya, but with spelled Maya with j sounded like y as the Polish j? Is this Australian English name spelled like that? But how come you never tell me 5 months ago of that and how come on your description you didn't tell why is Maya spelled like that, is that how the English alphabet j was also sounded like that, cause it's a Australian English alphabett?

  • @AustralianTVClassics Sad, I'd like to see how it was handled myself.

  • @Kawayoporu

That version of opening is pretty popular nearly all the openings all over the world were in a melody like this

  • Oh my, Maja the Bee? The name Maja was spelled just like that in Polish Pszczółka Maja and I check your channel and you live in Australia. Do they really also use the j instead of a y? In the Polish language they use a j sound as y sound, but Polish use a y, but used as the i sound like in.
