Well here's the thing. People assume Repulsion's "Horrified" was the inception of grind. It was indeed recorded in 1986.
But so was side one of Napalm's "Scum" (scum demo), and the "From Enslavement To Obliteration" demo before that (march 86). Anything before that was more punk though.
Now are you telling me Repulsion released Horrified, then travelled back in time several months and influenced the others?

ND with of course, out Barney in those days, 1988, 89, 90, That was GRINDCORE in your face, Mutha! Everything has an influence, but I think it's still hard to see or hear, as the case may be

@orthodoxyn12 I was just thinking the same thing! "What WE did was" and then name checks Swans. Surely that should be "what THEY did". I was watching a program with Metallica the other day when Jason Newstead was chatting about how it was with early Metallica too....
