@MegaNiceguy78 go to splendid china, opposite of P mall, theres a shop called challenger, he can "get" one for you, my custom raced gun used a TM hi capa 5.1 for base model and I got it from him, he also makes custom IPSC airsoft race guns.
I manufacture custom made triggers, trigger stirrups, hammer sets and leaf springs that all amount to short and light adjustable trigger pulls. Contact me by message if you'd like to inquire on these parts.
is that all of the internals you used? I'm trying to get my stock hi capa upgraded. I just need to know some good brands for neccesary upgrades. (max fps= 400, and as long as it can fire as fast as I can shoot; i'm ok
Define "powerful." Are you talking about the projectile velocity? Or are you talking about the slide cycling speed? If it's the latter, then yes, putting in a stronger recoil spring will increase cycling speed. Installing an enhanced main (hammer) spring will increase reliability and a minor boost in velocity in some instances. And replacing the floating valve spring can also increase velocity a very small bit (but may also present other issues.)
Not at all. Longest airsoft pistol range for practical shooting is typically 10 yards. You do need to shoot accurately, quickly, and be able to move through the course fast and efficiently while managing ammo count and reloads, etc.
Do a google search for "Virginia Airsoft Practical Shooting."
I just found a post on the AAPS (American Airsoft Practical Shooting) forums by a gentleman known in the North American airsoft scene that goes by the name of "the4thpower3". He has some pretty impressive guns.
Also search his name here on Youtube - he has some pretty cool videos.
thanks thats a big help, but im not sure what leagues r near me, cus iv had some airsoft guns before, but just now im starting to really get into airsoft and i think this kind of airsoft is really cool
It goes under many names, depending on the region you are located, what leagues are near you and who organizes such events.
In terms of real steel, there are two main bodies: IPSC and IDPA. IDPA is more focused on real world scenarios, whereas IPSC I think is more fun because you can use the crazy high-tuned guns (like this one I built.) Of course, there are more leagues in the real steel world than these two...
hey realbriguy, im from toronto and i'm looking for a TM hi-capa 5.1, you know where i can find one?

@TheGrahamAker when you say "get" one do you mean smuggle it in? cause that would mean i'd have to drop 4 bills on it...
MegaNiceguy78 1 week ago
@MegaNiceguy78 that would be my guess also, but I have no idea how they got it in, and honestly dont care as long as it doesnt bring me any harm.

@tolietman221
Original plastic slide. You can find one by buying an original Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1. Some retailers may sell it on its own as well.

Heyy I have a hicapa 5.1 and I was wondering if you can upload a video on how to adjust the trigger pull so it's light? It would very much help.

Is it possible to make the pistol more powerful with a newer spring?

what does short stroke mean?
driftinsti 2 years ago
It means to reduce the stroke length of the blowback cycle.
To "short stroke" means to minimize the total distance the slide must move during its blowback cycle.
realbriguy 2 years ago
cus wouldnt the slide cycle faster because its plastic?
brizzi321 2 years ago
Yes and no...
Yes, because a plastic slide is much lighter and faster cycling speed.
No, because it is not very durable and the gun is not as stable as one that has a heavy metal front end (and outer barrel.)
There are also ways to make a metal slide cycle just as fast or faster than a plastic one.
realbriguy 2 years ago
is it better for a pistol to be made out of abs plastic or metal for this compition
brizzi321 2 years ago
ok i will, thanks dude. Does your gun need to be able to shoot long distances for practical shooting?
brizzi321 2 years ago
Not at all. Longest airsoft pistol range for practical shooting is typically 10 yards. You do need to shoot accurately, quickly, and be able to move through the course fast and efficiently while managing ammo count and reloads, etc.

In airsoft, there was IAPS first for international competition. In Canada, we recently started CAPS (Canadian Airsoft Practical Shooting.)
In short, this type of shooting is called "Practical Shooting"

where can i get a compensator like that gun has?

It is a complete compensator/guide rod/adapter/inner barrel setup.
