Was this elevator made before ThyssenKrupp bought Dover? I wonder, because the floor indicator looks old fashioned, but not the dial type.

No - ThyssenKrupp decided to attempt to re-make those older Dover fixtures. These are the TK Traditional, and can or can not have the Dover indicator.

The same thing happened to my parents. First a hotel was called the Glenpointe Hotel, then it became a Marriott at 12 AM EST on Apr. 12 1992.

you know the Marriott at Glenpointe has Westinghouse Traction Elevators, 3 or 4 of them to be exact. It goes *L, 2-16, and I think there is a 13th floor!

Another reason why the staff gave you no trouble, was because this is a nice hotel, and I had no problem with the hotel elevators. It's only the cheap, dirty motels that give people the trouble.

It is also independentaly owned. The 2 hotels I had trouble in was a comfort inn and a La Quinta Inn, although the La Quinta, they werent too bad, the manager simply told me if i wanted to take pictures, simply ask, he would have had no problem.
