Also though technically radiation, the microwave doesn't produce the types of radiation that a nuke would, and additionally I'm fairly certain (though I'd have to research it so I AM just guessing here) there must be a lethal dose of radiation for a roach, just that it can sustain significantly more than creatures that weren't created in the deepest pits of hell
