  • This is the fab Peter I love him and always will I'm as Irish as he is! doing back to Ireland soon! Lovya Peter! xxxx

  • @GirliqueDownUnder Brian is married with kids so it's safe to presume he's straight as are all of the band. Not that it matters

  • @GirliqueDownUnder Early rave/dance band, saw them live. Live near Manchester UK. In the late 80', there was fresh & exciting explosion of music & club culture emanating from there that went global. The early days were amazing. very underground, one off *warehouse* parties that evolved into raves. A club called Hacienda also played a big role. Damn, I miss being a hedonist.

o.0 Gay band? Their songs made me happy, so yes.

B Cox gay/str?Who cares? He's also hot in an oven set at 360 degrees.

  • @bullzdawguk Sorry, you can't ever describe D:ream as an 'early rave' collective. Rave was dead by the time the band came along in 1992, and they represented the dance pop commercial mainstream that killed true rave/hardcore off in the first place.

I've got nothing against the band, but this is middle-of-the-road dance pop.

  • @aldhous @aldhous Valid point, they were not strictly 'early rave' and I agree they were middle of the road. I guess after all these years I tend to lump it all into one catagory.=P Saying that, many of the songs that made it to mainstream once it all went commercial were songs I had been listening to from the early days. Voodoo Ray, Work it to the Bone and Big Fun just to name a few. In fact, alot of the songs Mike Pickering played in the Hacienda from appox. 88-90 ended up in the charts.

  • this is a dedication to my three children...................what can be bigger than that.....eldest flown off to Rio today for a month. They'll learn more than I'll ever know.

  • @davidgibbs75 This has NOTHING to do with D:Ream, you spammer.

Have we really regressed so much as a society that people are SURPRISED that someone with musical talent could be rejected from a completely fixed show like BGT or X Factor?

  • @joannepsi Sorry i offended you and yes we are not all as switched on as you are, we are all deepley regressed and taken in that we think these shows are clean cut -NOT lol. Anyway there aint been someone as good as Dave and thats their problem he is too good and would make your Subos seem like pretty average, anyway sorry if i upset you on this fine day of the Lord, peace

  • lol!!! I can't believe people didn't know Peter Cunnah is gay

  • This song is pretty much pure shit

  • @megadude405 Don't agree but fucking laughing anyway!!!!

  • The wierdest thing happened to me. I just woke up one morning a few days ago with the female chorus from this song in my head. I counldn't stop singing it for about 2 days and I hade to piece together the clues as to what song it was. I asked all my friends but seeing as I'm 24 no one had heard it. Then, on a flight to Estonia, a stranger on the plain started goin "you're the best thing I ever had..." then I realised it was D-Ream. Now I'm back in the UK I'm belting it out.

    happy christmas

  • Loved this song back in the day. Like it better than "Things can only get better".

  • it probably didnt get to #1 cause the singers gay - people are homophobic even if the song kicks arse they wont like it if the guy who sings it is gay

but i love this song it rocks!

  • @LauraKathleen05 Is Peter Cunnah gay? Think he´s living with his family in Ealing now, no?

  • @foreignaustrian He is not gay. Yes you are right. He is living with his wife and two kids in Ealing.

  • @LauraKathleen05 The Pet Shop Boys' Neil Tennent [the singer] is gay and they've had more than 25 years of number 1's

  • the flip & fill version (off clubland 7) is wicked and this is awsome aswell well worth a listen and as the guy said i cant belive this did not get in the top 5 tunes what a joke. classic tune of all culbbers
