I'm kind of sick of all this talk of 'high technology' when applied to the century+ old design of a petrol powered vehicle with 4 wheels that are only 'Asymptotically' incrementally faster than the last.

Tweaking aerodynamics that are no-brainers to discover with modern computers is not high technology.

Adding more microcontrollers to control more feed back loops to aid driving ain't high technology either.

I love cars etc... but this hype is annoying and inaccurate.

All of the 'exotic' materials and construction techniques used in these cars are old tried and proven in Aerospace. High end material technologies are what they stick on Raptors not cars. Cars just aren't that expensive I'm afraid.

But more importantly it's *not8 high technology if the fundamental concept has not changed i.e: 4 wheels and the Otto cycle.

Your argument would suggest a boat that fires cannon balls of tungsten out of carbon fibre cannons is high-tech.

reminds me of the 8800 Ultra which cost $899 for just an overclocked 8800 GTX.. they then made an 8800 GT which cost less than the 8800GTX and is as fast as the Ultra a month or 2 months after... I think the features this car has of it's "style" only add a few percent more performance gain but can easily be made by adding a huge wing and say 900HP to the GTO which would make that cost much less and be faster than this XX
