fyi elephants don't paint this way of their own volition, they have been trained to duplicate images for sale to tourists. inquiring minds can find TRUE creations from elephant artists. see elephant art gallery spotting a fake
I absolutely love elehphants. In fact I hold animals in higher regard than most people. But come on, you actually believe this? Is there video where you can see the entire trunk?
From the outside, but to see how these elephants are "broke" and "trained" please watch the videos on phajaan, a thai tradition and believed to be the only way to train an elephant.
Wow - he paints much better than me. Well done, SriSiam. If only this animal had hands(because clearly his eyes are good enough), then he could paint masterpieces.
Why isnt this on the news? Why is it that most people from around the world seem to care about is making lots of money and buying the latest cars, and attaining status whilst their kids are being fed crap from school. why are people so obsessed about money and power? Im happy with just my arms and legs. Ive never been obsessed about making millions and gaining power over others. It takes most people to see the brink of death to wake up though i think, not all but most. Its pathetic.
@sim0b You are tottaly right , we recognice that Elephants are creature more smarter than us and we still saying that stupid phrase "Is there another inteligent form of life in the universe ?" Well... don't ask to a Elephant because he would responde you that he is the only he knew :P
Wow, I would never be able to paint 3 elephants seen from the back, a small young one between 2 big ones, just like they normally walk in the wild. What superior intelligence! But.... what goes on behind the scenes??? How are they trained to do it? This is what I'd like to see!
The guy first starts training the elephant by guiding the trunks gently. Eventually, the elephant becomes familiar utilizing the muscle in it's trunks;thus, able to paint quite beautifully.
This is an awesome video about an incredible animal !!! An obviously social and caring creature,I will never understand how entire species could be in danger of extinction because of human ignorance over their body parts... SHAME ON ALL OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO HARM AND KILL ANY ANIMAL!!! AND YOU ARE PATHETIC...YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE OUT THERE AND I HATE YOU...
seriously, he's an better artist than me!

Do you think this creature is self-aware ???
anniebmahoney 3 years ago
Of course he is. They've done tests and passed with ease. Elephants are exremely intelligent fellow mammals that we are just beginning to understand.
